Slowly you opened your eyes, and you looked up. You began to cry when you saw Imani looking down at you. You sat up wrapping her in your arms.

"Imani, you're okay." You cried, happy to know she was safe.

"I'm fine, but where are we?" She questioned.

You pulled away from her and looked around. Everything looked normal, and you would've thought you were still on Earth if it hadn't been for the deep orange sky that didn't really look like sky.

You got up, and you picked up Imani. You began to walk around when you immediately froze in your tracks.

"Y/n, Imani?" You turned around and gasped when you saw your husband.

"Bucky?"

He ran to you and hugged you both as well as giving you a chaste kiss. "My girls." He whispered.

That's when you got concerned. "Imani... Have you seen your mother?"

"No... I've not seen mamma, brother, or sister." She frowned.

You rubbed her back trying to comfort her.

"Y/n... This... This place looks just like home, but it's not." Bucky noticed as he pointed to the village and y'all's house.

"It's... It's like the upside down, but less slimy, and hopefully more friendly."

That caused Imani to chuckle since you let her watch Stranger Things with Bucky and you.

"Always making things light." Bucky smiled kissing the top of your head.

He held your hand as you both began to walk to the village. It was silent. So far you hadn't seen any of the villagers until Imani exclaimed, "Shuri! T'challa!"

Relief washed over you as you put Imani down, and she ran to Shuri giving her a hug.

T'challa walked to the both of you giving you both a smile. "I'm glad I'm not going to be alone with Shuri anymore." He tried to joke though he sounded upset.

"Are any of the villagers here?" You asked.

"No. None so far. We could take Imani until someone comes."

"No. Well take Imani." You quickly answered. Imani meant the world to Bucky and you.

"Okay. Well I figured Shuri and I would live in the village so we're all close. I haven't seen anyone at all until you all showed up. So in case there's things waiting out there, we could have each other's backs." T'challa nodded.

"It sounds like a plan." Bucky nodded.

Eventually Shuri walked up with Imani. They were smiling, and this time she ran up to Bucky, and he picked her up.

"I've missed you White Wolf." She snuggled into his chest.

"I've missed you too fluffy puppy." He chucked rubbing her back.

Eventually T'challa and Shuri went to live in Imani's home, and Bucky, Imani, and you walked into your home. Everything seemed exactly the same and in its place. All the electrical devices worked as well. The only thing different was that no device showed the time.

"So girls. I guess we're living like this for a while until hopefully Steve, Nat, and the others rescue us. What do you both want to eat?"

"We can have the pizza I made the other day."

"Oh I love the pizza." Imani squealed.

"Okay fluffy puppy, and the Mrs. pizza it is." He grinned getting out the pizza and plates so he could heat them up.

You all sat in the living room enjoying the pizza and the TV. Eventually you fell asleep on Bucky's chest, and Imani fell asleep on Bucky's lap. This moment made him want a child of his own. He loved Imani like family very much, but she had an actual family. He wanted a baby that was yours and his own. He wanted a baby that would call him dad, and they'd play together with you. He'd watch the baby grow in your belly waiting in anticipation for the first kicks. He'd be excited when he knew the gender. He support you through everything, especially the labor. He'd watch the child grow up and learn how to live and love. He'd blush everytime he'd see you holding y'all's baby singing her or him to sleep. He'd laugh everytime you'd hand him the baby to change their diapers, which would probably be almost everytime. He'd been thinking about starting a family with you since he knew he was going to propose to you over those eighty odd years.

He pushed the thoughts away thankful for what he had right here and now. He picked you up first taking you to your room. Then he picked up Imani and took her to your room as well. He smiled when he watched the little girl cuddle into you like you were her mother. Then he got on the other side and shortly feel asleep.

There really wasn't any concept of time here. It felt like you had at least been here for almost eight months signaling that Bucky and you had been married for a year.

Imani was at Shuri's today, and you and Bucky sat at the lake. He took off the necklace he'd been wearing to take off the ring. He handed you the ring smiling.

"I think it's time you actually put my ring on my finger like it should've been the day we got married."

You smiled as you grabbed his hand and slid it on his finger. You then kissed him sweetly. "I love you so much Bucky."

"I love you too." He smiled.

You both sat down, and you dipped your feet in the water. Bucky wrapped his arm around you, and you leaned your head on his shoulder.

"If we've been timing this right, I can't believe we've been married for a year." You sighed.

"I know doll. I was thinking. Why don't we start a family? Why don't we try for a baby? I know we've thought about it before." He whispered.

You looked in his eyes noticing how serious he looked. "Bucky... I... I really want to have a baby with you..."

He frowned, "but..."

"It's not a but. I just I think we would wait a little longer. I think Steve might be coming to rescue us soon. It's just a feeling."

"Y/n... I just... I'm ready to start a family. I've been waiting for eighty years doll. I'm ready." He frowned.

You reached out and touched his cheek rubbing it, "Bucky... I want a baby too. I don't mean to hurt you, to hurt us when I say I want to wait a little longer. I'm just trying to think about the baby and me. James, there's this movie called The Space Between Us. Trust me, I've been thinking about having a baby, but everytime I do, I can only think of that movie. This lady goes to space, but she doesn't know she's pregnant till they made it out there. She... She ends up dying in childbirth. The baby lived on Mars all his life until he goes to Earth. Since he's used to Mars' gravitational pull, he's not used to Earth's, and he almost died."

You took a moment to breath as you looked into his eyes, "Bucky I just want to do what's safe for us. We don't have any machines like in the events of the movie or back home. I don't want our baby to die. I don't want to be pregnant or have a baby only to go home and the baby be uncomfortable or die. I just really want what's best for the baby, and I think we should wait to see if we'll be rescued."

"But everything here seems like it is on Earth..."

"That's the thing. We don't know anything about this place. What if it only stimulates your home planet. If we had a baby, the baby wouldn't have been on Earth but here. What if since the baby was born here, he or she was used to what the real actual atmosphere should be like. Then it would be the whole wherever this is to Earth ratio. I promise I'm not going crazy. Bucky I love you, and I do want to start a family with you. I just want to make sure that when we do have a baby, the baby is safe, happy, and healthy."

He shook his head, "You're right." A few tears slipped from his eyes, and you wiped then away.

"Hey... I know we don't have a baby yet, but we do have family. We have Steve, Imani, T'challa, your mom."

Bucky chucked kissing your lips gently. "You'll always make me feel better darlin."

"I tell you what... We have Shuri, and she knows how to build machines. Surely there are other people around here too. Let's try to find others."

"Others that may be doctors." He smiled.

"Exactomundo. If we find out we need to befriend them. Then if we don't get rescued within what we think is three more years then we'll start trying for a baby."

"Really?"

"Really." You smiled kissing his lips.

"What about Imani?"

"She'll spend time with her grandma."

"I love you y/n."

"I love you too Bucky. Always."

Bucky and you tried to find people, but yet it was if Imani, T'challa, Shuri, Bucky, and you were the only ones there.

"It doesn't make any sense. There has to be other people here. I saw others disappear too." Bucky rubbed his temples.

You took his hands off his temples and rubbed them as you looked in his eyes. It had indeed been three years since. You had a promise, and you were tired of waiting. You also hated to be negative, but at this point you figured you weren't going to be rescued.

"Bucky... Don't worry about it. I don't care anymore. I hate to be negative, but I don't think we're getting rescued. Not anytime soon. Bucky... I'm ready."

He looked to you in shock. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. Besides I made a promise. It's been three years. Regardless I know we're ready."

"What about all the things you mentioned?"

"Well maybe none of that will happen, and if it does Shuri and doctors would probably be able to make sure our baby is okay on Earth."

"I don't know anymore y/n. Your words got to me, and then I started thinking. We haven't been able to find anyone. Our baby might not ever get to live a normal life if we can't find anyone with children. They wouldn't find someone to love, and if we had a little girl, I might never get to walk her down the isle. You were right, we need to have best interests for the baby."

"Bucky... What if we're stuck here forever. Then we never had a baby because we assumed we'd be rescued. Those things you mentioned could happen even if we weren't here. Bucky... Our baby probably wouldn't have a normal life. He or she would have superhero aunts and uncles as well as an amazing dad. We're all crazy, and that's okay. I think we are ready James."

He smiled resting his head on yours. "I can't believe we're finally going to try and start a family." He chuckled kissing you softly.

Bucky walked to T'challa's and Shuri's house and knocked on the door.

"Bucky!" Imani jumped on him, and he squeezed her tight.

"Hey Imani. How was your night with Shuri?" He tickled her.

"It was awesome. She did my hair. Do you like it?"

"I love it!" He smiled. "Thanks for letting her come over Shuri."

"No problem, we have been having fun with our once in the month sleep overs. Maybe we should make it two times a month?"

"Yeah! Can I Bucky?" She looked up at him.

"If you want, then that's fine."

Imani waved goodbye to Shuri as Bucky walked her home. Once he got there you were at the front door excited to see her.

"Y/n!" She smiled jumping out of Bucky's arms as she wrapped her arms around your legs.

You hugged her back, "Hey Imani. You ready for supper?"

"I already ate with Shuri and T'challa. I'm sorry." She looked down.

"Oh no that's fine." You smiled as she nodded.

"Why don't I take you to your bedroom so you can go to sleep." She nodded as you took her to her room.

"Goodnight y/n." She smiled.

"Goodnight Imani sleep tight." You turned off the light and walked back to the kitchen where Bucky had finished making you both some food.

"She's the cutest." You smiled as you kissed Bucky's lips.

"You're also very cute." He kissed your forehead. "Have you felt... Different?"

"No... I haven't." You frowned. You'd heard of the symptoms, but you'd yet to have any. There was no way of knowing for sure when you ever would be until you showed, since you had no tests.

"This is the most I've had to try and be patient. I remember that day you convinced me, and now it's almost been a year since."

You hugged him rubbing his back, "I know, and it's okay."

You both ate, and you yourself were really sleepy. You both went to sleep, but you woke up.

"Bucky..." You tapped him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I think we're fixing to be saved."
