~Todoroki's POV~

I didn't know how long I had been out. Suddenly, I was awoken by someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see Fuyumi gazing at me, eyes wide with fear.

"Hm, what's up sis?" I murmured, yawning.

"You wouldn't wake up!" She squeaked sacredly.

"Huh?" The memories of last night came flooding back to me.

"Oh yeah- that." I muttered angrily. Fuyumi embraced me tightly, and I felt her warms tears dampen my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Sho." She whispered into my bi-coloured hair.

"It's not your fault." I replied, wrapping my arm around her sobbing body. She suddenly pulled away, hand on my shoulders and stared me right in the eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked. She felt my forehead gently with her cool hand.

"You're burning up." She gulped.

"I'm fine." She glared at me, a rare occurrence.

"You're not going to school." She announced before leaving to make breakfast. Damn it! We have our exams today- I would fail if I missed it. I slipped out of bed and headed into the shower. While bandaging myself, I was contemplating my options. In the end I decided I would have to sneak out. I couldn't miss the exam...

I put on my uniform, collected up my hero costume and slipped my bag over my shoulder. Ow... Why does it sting? There must be a wound there...  I sighed before pushing the small window open. As I was squeezing through, I heard Fuyumi's footsteps patter down the corridor. Fuck. I used my ice to slide from the window to the ground safely. Hearing my bedroom door slide open, I made a run for it. When I looked back, I saw an aggravated Fuyumi at my window.

"SHOTO TODOROKI, GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!" She shouted.

"Sorry I have to get to my exam." Her glare made me smirk at bit. I turned back to face the way I was heading, and carried on my sprint to U.A. I slowed as I approached the gates, and checked my phone for the time. WHAT!? I was 45 minutes early. I sighed angrily. Last thing I needed was more questions. Slowly walking up the stairs, I considered using this time to go home for some food. But Fuyumi would never let me leave again. I silently laughed a little. That girl is way too protective. I reached 1-A and headed for my desk, sliding my bag under it. I was so tired... Maybe I could just have a little nap... I let the blanket of sleep console me.

~Aizawa's POV~

Finally the pancake incident was fully resolved, and I drove to school with a loud Hizashi. We separated once we entered the building; him to mark English papers, me to have a nap before the students arrive. As I enter the ridiculously oversized 1-A door, I catch a flash of a... candy cane? Oh god it better not be one of the students' pranks again. Remembering what happened last Christmas made me shiver all over. They dressed up All Might as a Christmas tree and stationed him at the corner behind my desk... in the middle of teaching All Might suddenly jumped out and announced "I am here!" I had jumped slightly and Kaminari got it on video... I shook my head, I was getting lost in thoughts again.

Instead of a candy cane, Todoroki was slumped over his desk fast asleep. I scowled slightly. He's what- 45 minutes early! I walked up to his desk, observing him for anymore injuries. I swore I saw a small bit of bandage- what if- STOP IT SHOTA. You saw his homelife, he's fine

I slowly raised my hand and tapped his shoulder. He flinched and sat upright almost immediately. Is this a sign of something..NO SHOTA. He still seemed half asleep, and murmured something along the lines of:

"Please don't hurt me."

Suddenly, his eyes shot wide open and he noticed it was me.

"I apologise I was asleep." He said meaningfully.

"It's okay, but why are you here so early?" I questioned, softening my scowl.

"I- I woke up early." He nodded, seeming as if he was convincing himself. His sentence from earlier crossed my mind again. 'Please don't hurt me.'

I knelt down and he gazed down at me curiously. I rested my hand on his knee, as a way of making him more relaxed. But at that sudden movement, he jolted quite obviously.

"Todoroki, you know you can tell me if something is happening at home." I said softly.

"Yes Sensei, I'm aware, but everything is fine at home." He replied in his monotone.

"Todoroki..." I said slowly.

"Sensei?" He tilted his head slightly and I swear- I swear he winced.

"Are you sure?" I made direct eye contact. He stared me right in the eye and his turquoise eye flashed a tiny bit. Was he angry?

"It's fine." He raised his voice a little, almost as if he was politely warning me off. I sighed.

"If you insist..." I muttered and his eyes seemed a bit watery. I returned to my desk and watched out the corner of my eye as he pulled out a notebook and started to revise. I turned back to my papers, reviewing the exams planned out for today.

End Of Term Exams

Two pro heroes vs a random group of four students. In the urban area. The students goal is to capture the pro heroes.

Groups

1. Snipe and Thirteen vs Ashido, Asui, Kaminari and Sero.

2. Nezu and Midnight vs Midoriya, Jirou, Shouji and Kirishima.

3. Ectoplasm and Power loader vs Bakugo, Satou, Kouda and Ojiro.

4. Vlad King and Cementoss vs Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu, Iida and Uraraka.

5. Eraserhead and Present Mic vs Hagakure, Mineta, Aoyama and Todoroki.

My finger rested on top of number 5. Me and Hizashi were up against Hagakure, Mineta, Aoyama and... Todoroki. Part of me thought this was a blessing because my husband was the only one I had told about Todoroki, so we could both watch him. On the other hand, this was potentially bad because Todoroki would probably be relied on greatly by his team. And for the past few days he hasn't exactly been at his best.

I didn't realise how long I had been dwelling on this, because when I looked up Todoroki was asleep again, pen in his hand. I walked over to see what he had been writing and positioned myself behind his shoulder. Out of the blue, he spun around and landed a blow on my stomach sending me reeling backwards. I looked up at him and he had his mouth covered and eyes watering.

"I'm sorry, Sensei, I'm so so sorry. I thought-"

"Hey calm down Todoroki, it's okay." I said gently. He sure was jumpy.

~Todoroki's POV~

I felt someone. Behind me. I woke up and spun around throwing a punch at the person. I saw Aizawa stumble backwards. OH GOD HAD I JUST PUNCHED SENSEI?!! I apologised quickly and I felt my breathing quicken.

"Hey calm down Todoroki, it's okay." He said softly. I nodded quickly and turned my head so he couldn't see the tears prick my eyes. If it had been the old man, I'd be half dead by now. Breathe in and out, like Fuyumi taught me. In and out. In and out. I tried to focus on my notebook but my vision kept blurring. I felt Aizawa staring at me. Thank God at that moment Kaminari, Mina and Sero arrived closely followed by Bakugou and Kirishima.  Soon enough the whole class had filed in.

"1-A, as I'm sure you're aware, the exams are taking place today." Aizawa began and he read of the teams and opponents. I was with Hagakure... Aoyama and........... Mineta. Perfect, I'm certain most of the attacks will be on my shoulders. Last night left me so drained, of blood and energy. I wasn't sure I could do it. Maybe I should say I'm ill. No, I ran away from Fuyumi to do this.

"Go get changed into your hero costumes." Aizawa yawned. Whilst the rest of the boys headed to the changing room, I went to the bathroom so no one would see the bandages. Changing was excruciatingly painful. I gulped as the bandages shifted slightly rubbing my wounds. Finished, I walked out the bathroom and to the designated exam area. Looks like they were being conducted in an urban area. That means minimal damage...

I carefully watched the other exams, analysing tactics and fighting styles. Was I turning into Midoriya or something? Our team split up to talk with their friends, so there was no time to discuss a plan. I mentally sighed.

The horn sounded. It was time. I walked in the gate, my team following behind. I turned to face them.

"The pros start on the other side of the map, meaning we have some time. However, we have to be wary of Present Mic's long distance attacks." I said.

"Woah Todoroki, you're like Midoriya!" Hagakure giggled. I frowned.

"I'm just thinking." I murmured.

"Do you have a plan?" Hagakure asked.

"Moi can beat them with a dazzling beam!" Aoyama announced.

"It's a shame we're against just men..." Mineta muttered, earning a scowl from the whole group.

"Well, Hagakure you could sneak up on Present Mic. He's less vigilant than Eraserhead." I said earning a few nods.

"Here." I handed her one of the capture ropes.

"What about Aizawa-Sensei?" Hagakure questioned. "We need someone with good combat skills." Everyone turned to me.

"What?"

"C'mon, we've all seen your fighting style. It's perfect." Hagakure squealed and even Aoyama nodded.

"I don't appreciate brawls, they're very untidy." Aoyama said expectantly.

"Mineta, you can use your quirk to slow down and possibly immobilise Aizawa..." I muttered. He nodded.

"Todoroki, Aizawa-Sensei is very fast, you could make a huge ice dome like that one time to trap him." Hagakure piped up. I nodded, suprised.

"That's a good idea." I gave her a rare smile.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Present Mic's quirk was coming right for us. I created a huge ice barrage, and the others gasped as it reached high in the sky, almost splitting the whole area in half. I shook my head. What was I thinking? I only meant to make a small barrier. I let my focus slip. Exhaling an icy breath, I activated my left side to melt the frost from my body.

A sudden, extremely powerful attack from Present Mic sent us flying backwards, almost out of the exam area. Luckily, I managed to create an ice wall and pulled off my ice-surfing trick. Inexperienced, the rest of my team fell with a thud. I gulped before running over an ice bridge to reach them.

"Come on guys wake up." I shouted. All three were out cold. It was me against two pros.

~Aizawa's POV~

I used my scarf to launch myself over Todoroki's ice barrage as Hizashi let of a huge attack. I saw the students fly back from the pure force of the sound wave, and Todoroki created an ice wall to prevent them going out of bounds. Whilst he elegantly surfed his ice, the other three fell and were knocked out cold. I saw the stress on the usually composed boy's face when he realised he was alone.

I used my scarf to approach him from above, erasing his quirk so he couldn't attack. I swung down to face him and he threw a kick at me... and missed. I entangled him in my scarf and tied him onto a fake electrical wire with it. I threw some spikes on the ground so it wouldn't be easy for him get down. I heard the horn sound, and Midnight announce that Todoroki was immobilised.

A few seconds later, I heard something snap, and I realised the fake electrical wire had broken sending Todoroki right onto the spikes. I paused.

"Todoroki, are you okay?"

No answer, instead a seeping pool of blood protruding from under his body.

"TODOROKI!!!" I shouted. Other teachers rushed into the exam area as I rolled him over smoothly. A spike had sliced his neck, probably an important vein. Todoroki was struggling to breathe, and writhing viciously. I held him close, despite his struggling, listening to the shouting for Recovery Girl. Midnight approached, quicker then I'd ever seen her run.

"Tell him he needs to calm down and focus on his breathing!" She cried, dropping to her knees beside us.

"Todoro- Shoto, listen, you have to calm down and focus on breathing." I said looking into his heterochromic eyes. He didn't hear me, and continued to struggle against my hold.

"Midnight..." She nodded knowing what she needed to do. I covered my nose and mouth, along with the observing teachers, as she released her quirk to make him sleep. His eyelids drooped shut, and I applied pressure to the cut. He was still paling rapidly.

"The poor boy." Midnight whispered and Nezu joined us. For once he wasn't smiling, and had a look of deep concern. I saw Iida zooming over, using recipro burst,  carrying Recovery Girl. Once he put her down, she came over as fast as her legs would carry her. The healer looked over the wound with a solemn expression.

"It's his jugular." She whispered gravely. A few moments of deathly silence passed over the crowd.

"Can you fix it?" Most of the teachers asked in unison, joined by the crowd of 1-A that had gathered around the scene. Recovery girl nodded slowly.

"He'll probably be really tired for a while or so." She mentioned before planting a kiss on the young students head. The wound miraculously began to close and I hugged Todoroki tightly.

"Careful with him now." The healer scolded, stepping backwards to asses her work.

"Get him to the infirmary." Nezu ordered. "This is possibly the worst student injury we've ever had. We have to call his father who is---" Nezu trailed off, frown making home on his face.

"Endeavour. I'll call him. It was my fault." I announced. The teachers nodded gratefully. I led 1-A back to class, but no one could focus on any lessons, myself included. In the middle of reviewing the exam results, Midoriya piped up.

"Sensei. Will Todoroki be okay?" The greenette asked.

"Yes." I replied bluntly.

~Todoroki's POV~

"Ow." I murmured and I tried to sit up but a wave of dizziness sent me back down. I must of made some sort of commotion because the curtain surrounding my bed slid open in a rush. Recovery girl walked in, scanning me with worried eyes.

"W-what happened?"

"You cut your jugular vein." She explained, coming closer.

"What? How?!"

"Todoroki calm down. You need to rest." She said softly, placing a warm hand on my arm. "I'm going to check you over for other injuries, okay?" I nodded my head gently. Wait- no! She'd see the bandages! I needed to stop her. But blackness washed over me and I was out.
