Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko are at the tent and they look at Haibara and Professor Agasa are nearby the fire with the woods that Conan and Shinichi already collected before them
"Woah they did get quite a lot" said Mitsuhiko looking at the fire
"Where are they anyway? Those brothers" said Haibara
"Ah they should be here any moment"
As on cue, both of them comes back and Haibara can sense Conan annoyance
"Let me guess, you lose Edogawa-kun?" asked Haibara
"You got it... That lake is very narrow, almost impossible to curve!" said Conan unhappy
"But it was amazing! Both of them are very fast" said Ayumi in awe
"You guys saw them?" asked Professor Agasa
"Yeahh, we are on top of the hill and both Shinichi-san and Conan-kun use detective badge as communication so we can hear most of their talk" said Mitsuhiko
"So that's why you borrow my badge" said Haibara to Conan
"Hehehe since cellphone is out of range after all" said Conan laughing
Shinichi sit beside Professor Agasa tiredly after the boat racing and just smile seeing his little brother talking with his friends
"You sure have fun with Conan-kun there... you two rarely play together after all" said Professor Agasa smiling
"Ahh... The things that we always do together are only reading at home and solving cases. We rarely go to recreation like this due to Megure-keibu always calls me and his work capturing Kaito Kid"
"Well it is great to do something different right. The kids always wanted to invite you since they notice how rare that both you and Conan-kun play together"
"So that's why they really wanted me to join so badly" thought Shinichi while looking at Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko putting some of the woods for the fire
After that all of them sit by the fire and talk together since it's too early for dinner. Three kids ask about when Conan learn how to drive a boat and other things
"Woah that's amazing!" said Ayumi in awe
"I only learn it because I was seeing how dad teach him" said Conan pointing at Shinichi
"But still it's awesome that Conan-kun's father teaches all of that" said Mitsuhiko while looking at Shinichi
"Hahaha that time our dad want to get away from editors so that's why for a whole week he teaches me that stuffs and Conan also there with us the whole time" said Shinichi
"In the end, he still got caught by editors" said Conan remembering moments in Hawaii
All of them laugh at it and the brothers just smile to each other by the memories that they have been through together. Suddenly Ayumi remember the thing that she found earlier when they were finding some firewood
"Oh yeah, when we were collecting firewood, we found a weird stone box" said Ayumi
"Stone box?" asked both Conan and Shinichi together
"Yes... there are round holes on two sides but a hollow center. Looking inside you can see many carved characters" said Mitsuhiko
"Characters" thought Shinichi
"The stone had things like 'Stone of Ni-Oh' written on it but I couldn't understand most if it"
"It was difficult right" said Genta
"Yeah..."
Conan and Shinichi look at each other serious and ask them to take them to where they found the stone box

Time Skip~
They are now right in front of a house that was in middle of the forest and Shinichi look through the house seriously. As he about to goes in, the kids already call the brothers to show them the stone box. As they look closer, there is indeed many kanji words inside the box. Professor Agasa said that maybe it's a stone lantern by it's size. Conan look around and see the pond closely
"Professor is right... look at the pond, there's not only one either" said Conan while putting his hands on his pockets
"Really?" said Mitsuhiko surprised
"We didn't notice those" said Genta who also look at the pond
"Probably somebody threw them into the pond. Perhaps this person doesn't want others to think that this place have stone lanterns... So that no one can figured out the secret code and run of with the treasure" said Shinichi serious while looking at the stone box
"Treasure!" shout three of them
"Is there really treasure here?" asked Conan seems bored look
"It should be... eh" said Shinichi as he look at the pond seriously
"What's wrong?"
"It looks like those stone lanterns was thrown not only to hide the code"
Conan and his friends look closer beside him and much to his surprised to see a hand hidden by the stones under the pond. Shinichi quickly take off his jacket and move the stones to take the body that was hidden
"Professor! Help me out!" shout Shinichi serious
"Eh okay"
It took a lot of time to move all the stones, after that they take out the body and the brothers start to examine it
"By the looks of it, he was murdered recently" said Conan while looking at the mark on his neck
"Yeah... This pond is likely around 20 degrees but this body seems not having rooting gas" said Shinichi looking through the body
"But who would do this?" asked Mitsuhiko
"Who knows... but I think it's related to the treasure"
Shinichi look though the body's identification while Conan rubbing his pocket pants until suddenly he found a rock on his pants sleeve
"What is it?" asked Shinichi to his little brother
"A tear shape stone... with a 'inflammation' character engraved on it" said Conan
"Could that be the treasure?" asked Mitsuhiko right beside Conan
"No... I don't think so"
"Profesor, contact the police right away" said Shinichi serious
"Okay, there's no signal here... I have to go back to the tent" said Professor while running back to the tent
"Thank you professor, please be careful!"
Shinichi put the body's identification back and then gets up.
"The sun is setting so we also should go back" said Shinichi
"Ehh!?" shout three of them
"How can we go back?!" said Genta
"That's right, the treasure is so close!" shout Mitsuhiko
"What are you saying! This guy's murderer could still be nearby, we only know this dead man's name, nothing else!" shout Shinichi angry to the three of them
Shinichi and three kids were surprised and see that both Haibara and Conan are looking at the little notebook from the body
"In his notebook, he has records and maps of places where treasure are scattered in Japan" said Haibara while reading the notebook
"They really put down a particular detail on their search passage for valuable treasure" said Conan as he reading it
"Eh?" said Shinichi surprised
"Searching together with a companion... Until the Gentlemen Thief left" said Haibara reading
"Gentlemen thief..." thought both Shinichi and Conan serious as they look at the house again
Shinichi look at the stone box again and realize something. He look at Conan who already in detective mode which make him have a bad feeling
"Oi oi Conan..." thought Shinichi
Conan didn't bother answer his brother and go closer to the stone box. Haibara stop reading when she notice that Conan is not by her side
"Ni-Oh rests in the place closest to the sun, where the elders go when the earth is lively, There is the place where Ni-Oh stone. Dauntless of the Ni-Oh's fury, receive the stone in the palm of his hands. Signed for the eternal truth, Samizu Kichiemon" said Conan while reading on the stone box
Mitsuhiko and Genta come closer to Conan as he reading the message. Mitsuhiko notice who's Samizu Kichiemon is and they talk about it and start to assume that the treasure is the house that they are looking now. Conan look at the message and start to smirk, Shinichi didn't like his little brother's curiosity engine start to go
"Conan... I think we shouldn't-" said Shinichi but interrupted
"The real treasure is the stone of Ni-Oh... Ni-Oh's clearly state it that's the treasure" said Conan didn't listen to his big brother
"How could someone know with just that?" asked Genta
"Ni-Oh refers to a Kongou-rikishi (Statue guardian). Therefore that stone is a Kongou-seki"
"Kongou-seki?" asked all of them
"Kongouseki, known in English as the king of gems... Diamond!"
Shinichi slap his head after his little brother's deduction show. He already make sure not to say anything to start the kids engine to find the treasure in the end, they still want to search for it. Mitsuhiko touch the stone box and look closer to the words
"But there's more of it" said Mitsuhiko to Conan
"Yeah and that's the question... Dauntless of the Ni-Oh's fury means who does not fear Ni-Oh's wrath and receives the stone in his palm..."
Suddenly Conan stop talking, Shinichi look at him and start to sigh. Genta then told Mitsuhiko and Ayumi to search on the treasure on their own which Shinichi heard it
"What are you all saying! The murderer is still near here!" said Shinichi angrily
"But..." said Genta
"Well can't be helped, we can't also do it since without Conan or Shinichi-oniisan, we can't decode the secrets" said Ayumi worried
"Don't worry, our own detective curiosity has just been triggered" said Haibara smirking
Shinichi surprised by Haibara but then he heard the thoughts on Conan's head which make him surprised by his deduction. With this, now he's sure that his little brother will be going
"Oi oi... seriously? We just counter him yesterday" said Shinichi worried
Shinichi's words surprised the kids except Haibara who start realizing everything
"I see... so this is the start of Diamond cut Diamond?" asked Haibara smirking
"Eh? what do you mean" asked Ayumi
"It's a proverb... to cut a diamond you need to use another diamond..." said Shinichi in defeated voice
"So it's the powerhouse fight between the two calm and well match opponents" continued Haibara
"But who and who are you talking about?" asked Mitsuhiko
Haibara just smile and look at Conan which grab his attention, Conan just smirk to her and the rest of them
"Barou... no matter what, we can't be compared with the glory of the diamonds... He knows this truth well, for he is just a thief. And I'm the one who seeks to unveil him... I'm just a detective" said Conan smirking
Shinichi just look at him in bored and give up look since it's confirmed that his engine already started because it's connected with his rival
"You seems giving up?" asked Haibara to Shinichi
"Of course I am... both of us made a deal for each jurisdiction and by the look of it... this place is Conan's jurisdiction" said Shinichi
"Thank you for the understanding there" said Conan smiling to his big brother
"I still find it a bad idea"
Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko look at each other and didn't get what are they talking about
"So, who is this thief you mentioned?" asked Genta confused
"His target is big jewel... which means the shameless jewel thief, Kaito Kid!" said Conan smirking
The three kids start shouting surprised and happily hearing the phantom thief's name. Suddenly it starts raining. Conan then said all of them to take shelter inside the house, Shinichi then force to agree which make the kids happy that they will start treasure hunting

Genta found a ladder which the kids start to go closer to it, as Genta about to climb. Conan shout to them not to do it which was too late and all detective boys fall into the trap pit. Conan run toward the hole and jump. Shinichi was surprised by his little brother's actions
"Conan!" shout Shinichi
Shinichi goes to the hole and put on a glasses and see through the hole. He sees Conan unleash his soccer ball which make them stop falling. He sigh in relief and then the treasure hunter, Suto throw the rope so that the adults can go into the pit. As they arrived, Shinichi quickly go into his little brother and look at him and his friends
"What were you thinking?! If it's looks like it goes up, it goes down" asked Shinichi angry
"Sorry..." said all Detective boys
"At least all of you are alright"
Shinichi glare at his little brother which Conan just bow to him as an apology which make him sigh and they continue looking around
Time Skip~
After all of them deduct that they need to find the sword. They look around and found a passage through the water. Genta hurriedly goes inside which then the old lady run to him and push him back so that she can go forward but then she stop her moves when suddenly a swinging axe goes around the room
"This is such a troubling trap. As soon as you try to approach the sword, the floor's weight will increase and the four axes will attack" said Haibara while looking at the room
Shinichi and Conan just smirk as if figure out the room, before Conan step forward, Shinichi shove his hand to his face as if stopping him
"No, it's just an immoral trap" said Shinichi smirking
Shinichi then move forward which activate the axes and all of it goes around him. All the spectators are surprised while Conan just smirk at him
"The axes from four sides exactly covering the surrounding... if you choose a good time, you won't be hit. Not to mention..."
Shinichi look at one of the axe and grab the handle on it which give him a chance to go right to the pillar where the sword lies
"Reckless as ever that baka detective" said Conan staring at him
After getting the character on the sword, Shinichi and Conan look at each other and then lied to other treasure hunters about they didn't understand everything. Thanks to their lying, they are now on their way out of the mansion while Shinichi and Conan have an inner head discussion
"In the end, that magician didn't show up huh oh great Kid Killer" thought Shinichi to Conan
"Wait, you didn't notice?" thought Conan while smirking
"Oi oi... he really did come here?"
"Well besides that, it seems you figured out the culprit?"
"You could say that"
All of them are now already outside the mansion. The adults are still trying to look around the mansion leaving Shinichi and Detective boys staying in front of the mansion
"Anyway, now that the troublesome people is gone. Should we go to where the treasure is? Right oh great detectives" said Haibara looking at Conan and Shinichi
"Eh?!" said the three kids surprised
The brothers just give a bored look to Haibara since she figured out that both of them knows where the treasure is. Conan then tell them the deduction while Shinichi just silently listening to his little brother's deduction which is the same as him. After that, they go to the waterfall at the swamp and they didn't find anything. They're surprised to see Akutsu on the rocks near waterfall and said that Kaito Kid already stole the diamond
Genta who was angry then sit down to the rocks but as a result, Mitsuhiko was thrown into the lake. Moments later, the other treasure hunters arrive to the scene and the old lady laugh seeing the notice from Kaito KID. Conan become serious until Mitsuhiko comes out the water and said that the treasure is there in the swamp which make Suto jump into the water to get the diamond
Akutsu reveal her true intention and let out a gun toward them but before she do anything, Shinichi already unleash his watch with Mitsuhiko help with the light.
"Well that was an easy job" said Conan looking at his brother
"I presume you want to use yours on different occasion right" said Shinichi smirking
"Why thank you there"
Suto got out from the water with diamond in hand and suddenly big flood coming toward them. Conan shout to Suto to put back the diamond to it's place since it's the trigger of the water. Moments later, they are on the roof waiting for the flood to drain. With that Conan use his chance to take his rival out of his disguise
"To think the diamond was the trigger" said Suto surprised
"That's why you said not to take it, right baa-san... no... Magician of the Moonlight!" shout Conan smirking to the old lady
The old lady grin and then take off the disguise which to be Kaito Kid, the kids are happy seeing him while Shinichi and Haibara just give a sigh as they see the both rival faces each other.
"So when did you found out?" asked Kaito Kid smirking
"From you told us to give up and go home... as if you know all about this, your notice at the swamp confirm my suspicious" said Conan smirking back
"Congratulations! Well I didn't take it because I have no interest on that diamond at all"
"But why he pushed me away to get the sword if he's not interested?" asked Genta
"He did that to save you, if you went in without noticing the trap, you would have been cut into pieces" said Shinichi while looking at the round boy who became scared
"Then to make sure we didn't get caught in any traps, you waited for us in that room" said Ayumi happily
"My my... what a thief we have" said Haibara as if mocking him
Kaito Kid look at Haibara who seems to be slightly offended by her tone
"It's my pleasure to receive your compliment, miss..." said Kaito Kid
"As a thank you for saving my friend, I will let you go this time" said Conan serious
Shinichi just look at the two rivals looking at each other as if finding it amusing seeing their fight. Kid just hear the boy's words with a smile and then turn around
"But next time I will investigate and let everyone know your real identity... Before I take off that annoying monocle and see your real face!" said Conan smirking with serious tone
Kaito Kid just give a smirk to him as if complimenting Conan's words
"Better not oh great little detective... Just because you don't know what's in it, you want to open the Pandora's box. But if you know what's inside the box before you open it, It won't be interested" said Kaito Kid as he jump from the roof and fly away with his hang glider
Conan just look at the flying white magician with a bored look
"Barou... Knowing what's in the box before opening it is only called a detective" thought Conan
Shinichi just smirk seeing his little brother, he can't help to giggle seeing his fight with the magician of the moonlight. He knows perfectly that his little brother will always play the role of Kid Killer perfectly as his and parents expected

Time Skip~
It was midnight, all of them are now back at the tent and the police said that they will get the questioning tomorrow. Most of them are already asleep, but then suddenly Shinichi gets up and goes out of the tent. He take the fresh air sit nearby the campfire and light it again. He was silently looking at the campfire until somebody tap his shoulder which to be his little brother
"Can't sleep?" asked Conan
"Aahh... just a little" said Shinichi smiling to him
Conan then sit down beside Shinichi and they look up to the stars that was showing on the sky. Shinichi look at his brother and then put his hands around him which let Conan's head rest on his body
"Sorry... for forcing to go inside that house" said Conan
"It's fine, your Kid Killer radar just got triggered after all but I really hate your reckless trait. Do you really have
