**Mitch POV**
I step back and nod my head and sit on the bed so Scott can talk.

That kiss really took me off guard, but I'm not complaining.

"Look, I know I've been hell to deal with and I haven't been the easiest person to talk about our relationship and where we stand in that, but I'm ready to talk." Scott says standing in front of me.

I look at him and nod for him to go on.

"Okay. Mitch, I love you.....so much! I don't think I have to tell you that though. Even though I wanted to be with you, I can't say I have that same feeling now. And that sucks because now you want to be with me and I know I'm breaking your heart by turning you down. I just want you to know I love you so much. Me not wanting to be with you has nothing to do with you personally, it has to do with me." Scott says pacing back and forth.

"Scott, stop talking." I say getting up off the bed.

"I understand everything now. You don't have to explain yourself any further." I continue.

"You do?" He asks.

"Yes." I say taking him in for a hug.

**Scott POV**
"So are we good now?" I ask.

"Yes. We're good." Mitch says walking back towards the bed.

I'm glad Mitch understands everything now.

Hopefully now everything can go back to normal and we can continue being best friends.

"So what about our status?" I ask.

"What status?" Mitch asks.

"Relationship status." I say.

He looks down at his phone and then back up at me with a grin on his face.

"Strictly platonic."
