You were a little stunned but shrugged, going to brush your teeth in the bathroom. Once you got out, Jotaro was already in the bed and you gingerly walked over. He was reading a book and his eyes drifted to you for a second when you approached, only to turn back to the book. Lifting the blanket, you crawled into the bed next to him and lay down.

"Sleep well." You felt awkward laying next to him, but the bed was big enough to have distance between the two of you, so you were a little more at ease.

"Goodnight." Was all Jotaro said but he sat his book down and turned off the lamp next to him, laying down as well.

You both turned your back to one another, laying as far away as possible and you couldn't help but want to snicker at how much of awkward teens you both were actually being. Somehow, the rest of your travel party had to be involved in this situation. Because you couldn't believe Jotaro went down to change the room, only to be dissuaded by the lady at the front desk. He'd have intimidated her, or anyone else for that matter, without a problem to get another room, so Mr. Joestar or Polnareff had to have had a hand in this. You couldn't see Kakyoin or Avdol doing something like this - especially Avdol.

No matter what, you'd see what the day brought tomorrow. And with that, you drifted off to sleep, painfully aware of Jotaro sleeping right behind you.

The sun shining through the balcony doors fell onto your face, rousing you from your sleep. Turning your head to try and get the bright light away, your brain tried to continue sleeping but to no avail. With the sun not moving away, your subconscious finally woke up and you fluttered your eyes open, squinting at the bright light immediately there to blind you.

Looking to your right, you saw Jotaro was still asleep. You both had tossed and turned a bit in your sleep, given the state of the blanket - mainly that Jotaro had pulled both top ends towards himself, leaving you with only the side to cover yourself - but neither of you had moved across the middle, allowing you to wake up comfortably. At least, that was the plan as, when you stretched, you didn't realise how close to the edge you actually were, the action sending you barrelling out of bed.

You yelped as you fell, thumping onto the floor shoulder first and making you land in a reversed scorpion, with your chin squished against your chest as you looked up at your legs still dangling on the bed.

The noise of you walloping to the floor must have woken Jotaro up because you saw him shoot up from the bed in alarm, glancing around the room for a bit, only to look over at you and see you on the floor, double chins on display.

"What the hell happened to you?" He was clearly very happy to be woken up so suddenly, the annoyed tone in his voice already evident. Great start of the day! But then again, you didn't blame him. You wouldn't much appreciate being scared awake by the sudden noise of a bag of potatoes crashing to the floor either.

"I tried to stretch to wake up more. Didn't go so well."

"I can see that." Jotaro deadpanned and you chuckled, the noise sounding a bit distorted because of your position. "Get up, you're gonna break your neck if you stay like that."

You hummed and rolled over so that you were on your stomach, removing your legs from the bed so that you could stand up. And once you did, you stretched your arms above your head, yawning as you did.

A knock suddenly sounded at the door and both you and Jotaro turned to look at it. "Y/N, Jotaro, you both awake? Are you coming down for breakfast?" Kakyoin's voice sounded from the other side of the door.

"We'll be right there."

You were sitting at the table while everyone else was at the breakfast banquet, getting their plates filled with food. Having to have someone to keep the table occupied to deter other people, you just patiently waited. It wasn't long until you saw Polnareff hurry over, a plate absolutely loaded with food as he sat down next to you.

"Nice haul." You commented with a raised eyebrow, smiling at the pile of food that he had collected.

"Merci Beaucoup, Y/N!" Polnareff grinned and you shook your head playfully, starting to get up. The Frenchman next to you had another idea though, since he slung his arm around your shoulder to pull you down again. You exclaimed softly in shock, not expecting the move, and fell back into your chair. "Wait, wait. Not so fast, cherie!" Polnareff was practically radiating right now and to say you were confused was an understatement.

"What is it?"

"How did you sleep?" He grinned from ear to ear and you narrowed your eyes.

"Just fine, thank you. Why?"

"Did you wake up in someone's arms?"

And there it was.

Polnareff had a teasing smirk as he said that, clearly trying to fluster you but you just gave him a smug grin back. "No."

His face fell as you said that and he moved back, thankfully no longer leaning on you and giving you a little bit more personal space, which he seemed to have no semblance of.

"Whaaat!? How can that be?" The utter shock that was displayed on his face. "You're lying right?"

You just burst out laughing while Avdol and Mr. Joestar joined you at the table, curious as to what conversation you and the Frenchman were having.

"It is a big bed and neither of us roll too much in our sleep, clearly. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get some breakfast." You heard Avdol chuckle and snuck a quick glance, seeing him shake his head amusedly while Mr. Joestar and Polnareff seemed equally disappointed yet surprised.

Walking to the banquet, you passed Jotaro and Kakyoin and you sent them a small wave, getting a wave back from Kakyoin and a nod of acknowledgement from Jotaro. Boy oh boy, this trip was going to be the death of you, wasn't it?

However, fun fact: did you know the scene of Jotaro and y/n in their hotel room is part of the scene I randomly thought up one day that inspired this whole fanfic?
Therefore this chapter is dear to me, no matter how bad it is.
