"So, Jotaro?" A very smug sounding Mr. Joestar spoke from the driver's seat. "You two make it late last night?"

"Shut it, Old man!" Jotaro warned with a snarl, yet keeping his voice on a normal level.

Snickering from the backseat of a certain Frenchman visibly ticked the teen off but he just took a deep breath through his nose, calming himself down before he discreetly looked down at you on his lap.

Your head was tilted back, your forehead pressed into the side of his neck as soft and steady breaths left your sleeping form.

It was another rainy day and the gentle taps, soft brumming of the vehicle, and the calm atmosphere within the car had proven to be too much for you to resist, having fallen asleep at around 1:30 PM.

It was 2:10 PM now.

Jotaro had seen you starting to nod off a while ago, and when you finally actually did fall asleep? He for some reason couldn't find it in himself to wake you up. So, he discreetly moved you so that you wouldn't completely destroy your neck by having it angled back on his shoulder, instead resting it in the crook of his neck.

Your quiet breaths danced along his skin and he felt himself get a little fidgety for it. Why?

"Hey, Mr. Joestar! What did you bring for lunch? I'm hungry!" Polnareff then called out from the back, immediately shushed by both Joseph and Avdol.

"It's in my bag. It should be around here somewhere."

"This one?" Jotaro suddenly spoke up, raising one eyebrow.

Mr. Joestar very briefly looked to the side to see what his grandson meant, letting out a thoughtful 'hm' before turning to watch the road again. "Yes, that one." He confirmed.

Jotaro sighed at his grandfather before he once more turned to look at you, taking in the way you had practically curled around the brown duffle bag.

"Yeah you're not getting it. She's not gonna let go." He observed.

"What so we have to just skip lunch?" Polnareff whined.

"I'm sure she'll wake up in a bit." Kakyoin awkwardly tried to subdue the Frenchman.

"Keep talking loud like that and she sure as hell will, but I'll make sure you still miss lunch." The dark-haired teen growled from the front seat, sending a dangerous glare back at Polnareff. Deciding to save his skin over eating lunch, Polnareff held up his hands in surrender while smiling an awkward smile. He'd wait until you woke up.

Opening the hotel door, you walked inside together with the redhead.

Stretching your arms above your head, you made a small noise in content while Kakyoin was setting his things on his bed.
He was looking at you stretch and chuckled. "Constantly sitting in the car, eh?" He said, to which you groaned.

"Yeah." Taking a deep sigh, you flopped onto the bed and turned your head towards Kakyoin. "I don't mind it all that much, but when you do it for so long for several days, it gets a bit much. And you all have chairs. No offence to Jotaro, but 'teen delinquent lap' is not as comfortable as a car seat to spend an entire day on. But then again, I am probably ruining his time and legs as well." You laughed at that last point, Kakyoin chuckling.

"Well, then it is a good thing we're going by boat tomorrow."

"Yeah." You hummed thoughtfully, looking at the ceiling. "When did it leave again?"

"Two PM."

Wow, that wasn't actually that bad if you thought about it, but then you sighed. "We're still not gonna be able to sleep in, are we?"

"Maybe an hour but probably not, no. We still have to drive there after all."

"Damnit. Oh well. Speaking of boats, how is your swimming?"

At that, Kakyoin turned his head to you with a raised eyebrow. "Fine, why?"

"Wanna go to the pool with me?" You excitedly sat up and swung your legs over the edge of the bed, your hands clasped together. Kakyoin raised both his brows in a questioning look now and you awkwardly simmered down your excitement, feeling a bit embarrassed for it as you explained yourself. "I don't want to go alone in case of Stand users and I don't wanna bother the others.

"I'm sure if you step over to the room next to us, Mr. Joestar and Polnareff would love to join you, you shouldn't worry about that, Y/N." He smiled yet you deflated.

"So you don't wanna?"

Kakyoin chuckled fondly and shook his head at how you looked. "Let's go to the pool."

A knocking on the door broke you out of your sleep and you groggily opened your eyes.

"Kakyoin, Y/N. Breakfast." A monotone yet somehow still annoyed sounding Jotaro came from the other side of the door.

Kakyoin called out an "Okay!" while you simply groaned. It felt like someone just dropped a goddamn anvil on your stomach. Closing your eyes back up it took a second, two, three, before your eyes shot open again. Oh fuck, yup, that was definitely a cramp just now. Your eyes hastily darted towards Kakyoin who was now sitting on his bed in his pyjamas and, with his back towards you, you dared to lift the blanket you were under.

Yup. You were on your period.

Fuck. How could you forget that your uterus held a monthly assault on you. Of course it would happen during this trip. But after losing all your stuff in the explosion at sea thanks to Dark Blue Moon, you hadn't thought of it or of buying new pads and shit at all...

You couldn't go out and jollily have breakfast without anything. There should be a store nearby where they sell pads right? Maybe some painkillers too but those were in the medical kit in the car so that's fine. But... no way in hell we're you gonna go out and ruin the only pair of pants you had left on this trip. So... you'd have to ask for help.

"Are you going to get up, Y/N?" Kakyoin broke you from your thoughts as he came out from the bathroom and you looked at him with startled eyes. "Uh, you okay?"

You blinked and straightened out quickly, sitting up in your bed. "Yes! Yes, I'm fine. Uh. Could you do me a favour, Kakyoin?"

At this he furrowed his brows in question. "Of course?"

"Could you go get Avdol? Preferably as quickly as possible?" You held a pleading look and the redhead got on high alert.

"Is something wrong?"

"No, no, nothing's wrong, I just need to speak to him. Uh. Now." You tried to convince him with an awkward smile and while he wasn't at all convinced that nothing was wrong, he slung his school jacket over his shoulders nonetheless, foregoing the buttons for now as he walked to the door.

"I'll go get him." He smiled a reassuring smile back at you before hurrying out the door, worrying for what was going on with you.

The moment the door closed, you slapped your forehead and buried your head in your hands. Why did it have to be this awkward. You didn't want to throw 'issues of the female body' to put it politely, on Jotaro or Kakyoin, feeling as if things would be way too awkward if you did. You also didn't want to throw it on Polnareff, cause of obvious reasons. And although Mr. Joestar had a daughter whom he went through this all with, you feared he might be a bit too childish in the end or shout it out loud when someone were to ask a question. The only one you truly felt comfortable asking for help from was Avdol.

And speak of the devil, a knock sounded on your door. "Y/N, it's me." The Egyptian man's rich voice sounded out and you sighed in relief, calling him inside, to which the door opened.

Avdol walked inside and over to you, followed by a slightly nervous Kakyoin who just speed-walked inside. "I'm just getting my stuff and then I'll leave you to it." He spoke, quickly grabbing his bag before disappearing again, closing the door behind him.

Avdol waited a second before turning to you. "What is the matter, Y/N? Why did you ask for me?"

"Uhm, I need your help..."

- - - -

Sitting in the hotel lobby, you were waiting on the others to gather while munching on the sweets given to you by Avdol.

"Huh, where did you get those, Y/N?" Polnareff spoke up from behind and you turned to him, surprised on how he had snuck up on you; discreetly tucking the food away cause honestly? You really didn't want to share them.

After explaining to Avdol what was going on, the man had nodded understandingly, standing there with crossed arms and closed eyes. He had told you to take a shower and that he would take care of it.

You did as he said and true to his word, Avdol pulled through. He had come back with pads, painkillers and even birth control so that you could snuff it out and not have to worry about your period again during the trip. And just to help you, he even picked out your favourite candy, remembering you once mention it in the car.

"Uh, Avdol got them for me." You simply explained, not saying why cause you still didn't want the others to know.

Thankfully, Polnareff made an offended noise, and instead of prodding more, he jogged over to Avdol, who was talking with Mr. Joestar on the other side of the lobby, shouting all the while. "Avdol, why didn't you get something for me as well?!"

- - - -

Reaching out for the door handle of the car, Jotaro was suddenly stopped by Avdol.

"Hold on, Jotaro." Curious, the delinquent turned to look at the older man, sending a questioning look to him. "I'll be taking the front seat with Y/N today, sorry to say on such short notice."

This caught Jotaro's attention and he raised a brow, looking back at you from the corner of his eyes, seeing you, looking a bit nervous as you stared directly at Avdol's back with an anxiously hopeful expression on your face.

First, Kakyoin came to get Avdol this morning, pulling the man away from the breakfast table saying that you needed his help. Then, everyone had to wait twenty minutes while both you and Avdol were nowhere to be found, and now this. Something was definitely up. But, if Avdol was handling it, who was he to object. So, with a casual shrug, he stepped back from the front door, noticing how your shoulders slumped in relief yet saying nothing as he walked to the back and folded himself inside.

You had voiced your uneasiness about having to sit on Jotaro's lap while the pills kicked in to Avdol. The birth control probably wouldn't work until half a day to a full day had passed, so sitting on the delinquent's lap wasn't really on your bucket list today.

At this, Avdol had assured you. And now he stepped into the car, spreading his legs so that you could sit in between, not having to sit on his lap either but just sharing the car seat.

God bless this man.

You clambered inside and settled, and once everyone was seated and ready to go, he put his arm around you to act like a seatbelt just like Jotaro had been doing. Only, you happily noted that he must have been using his Stand, for the appendage felt like you put a heating pad on your stomach.

God bless this man twice over.

I just wanted Avdol to be the king he is. I honestly don't actually think birth control can stop your period while you already started it, but screw it. My book, my rules; it does now. 😂

Also, I'm not dead! Surpriiiiseee :D
I'm so so sorry this took so long to come out TwT
I'll try to update every wednesday again but I might miss it sometimes. Please just be patient with my slow writing ass :')
