The sun was out, shining brightly down onto the world but you were just uselessly pacing. Jumping in bed to sleep was no longer an option, given that you felt too awake. But the whole reason you stayed behind in the first place was so that you could relax, so it felt wrong if you wouldn't do that.

Just then the most genius plan hit you. Why not go and lounge by the pool? Sitting in the warm sun was bound to make you drowsy plus you had not been to a pool in so long, you just wanted to. Even if you weren't going to swim cause haha, no. No exercise for the rest of the day.

Walking into the pool area, you were met with a few other hotel guests splashing around but an otherwise fairly peaceful and empty place. Humming contently to yourself, you could already feel the heat of the sun and you took off your jacket, wrapping it around your waist and tying it there.

As you walked past the pool and to the lounging chairs, a very vibrant and recognizable colour greeted you.

"Kakyoin?" You asked in pure confusion and the teen lifted his head to see you.

"Oh, hello, Y/N." He smiled and you tilted your head not unlike a puppy as you approached him and sat down in the chair next to him.

"I thought you went with Jotaro?" You questioned but he shook his head.

"No, he asked but I'd rather be here. Same as you it seems."

You hummed a bit but inside your mind there was confusion. You could have sworn you saw him leave with Anne and Jotaro, you saw them from your window when you were pacing!

"Well anyway," You shook your head to get rid of the thoughts. "It's a nice day out, don't you think? Maybe a bit too sunny." You smiled and lay down on the seat, placing your hands on your stomach as you looked up in the air – being slightly blinded by the sun.

"Can it ever be too sunny?"

"Yes." You said matter-of-factly and Kakyoin chuckled.

"Can't argue if you say it like that."

You let out a giggle of your own. "The sun is very nice but I must say I never say no to a bit of rain. There's a certain feeling to it that is just very appealing to me."

"Mhm, I guess." Kakyoin nodded a bit in thought. "Rain is the perfect weather to stay inside and play video games at least. No glare from the sun on the screen."

"You play video games?" You turned your head to face him, interested.

"Yes, I really enjoy them. Do you?"

"I've never really gotten the opportunity to. Money has always been a bit troublesome ever since my dad left. So I usually just did with books from the library to spend my time." You dismissively waved your hand up and down as you spoke, turning to look back up.

"I've been meaning to ask..." Kakyoin started and you looked at him again, urging him to continue. "Before we got on the boat a few days ago, the subject of your father came up as well. You seemed a bit... how do I say this?" He paused for a second. "Hesitant to speak about it. And I also couldn't help but see you and Jotaro share a look." Sighing softly, you returned to staring at the sky. "I don't mean to pry! I've just been wondering..."

"Nono, it's okay." You reassured him. "Let's just say my father was – is – a not so nice man. He's in prison now, thanks to Jotaro and I also think Mr. Joestar had a hand in it but I'm not sure." You thought back to the day he showed up again at your doorstep a month ago and the things that followed and, as it quickly replayed in your head, you couldn't help but chuckle. "He nearly hit Jotaro and me with his car."

"And that's funny to you?" Kakyoin let out an unsure laugh, trying to figure out why you were laughing.

"Yes and no. Looking back at things where you get hurt is always kinda funny, isn't it? Although this was more serious. I mean hell, I got a scar out of it. But Jotaro and I both rolled down a hill together and I think thinking back on that is funny." You giggled a little bit to yourself again before you realized exactly what nonsense you were saying. "Don't mind me, I think it's the lack of sleep talking."

Kakyoin laughed softly at your ramblings. "You're thinking a lot. And you laugh when it is a touchy subject for you, I'll be sure to remember that." He joked and you extended your arm out to give him a light punch, making him let out a small 'ow' and a laugh.

"I said it was the lack of sleep talking." You laughed, only to turn a bit more serious. "About touchy subjects, I'm sorry about earlier."

"What do you mean?"

You furrowed your eyebrows at that. "Upstairs in the hall, I didn't realise you don't like being touched."

"Where'd you get that idea?" The utter confusion in his voice made you pause and you sat up slightly.

"I thought you'd-? Hang on. When did Jotaro ask if you wanted to come along with him?"

"As he left the room to go get his jacket back from you. He barely gave me any time to think it over."

"And you haven't seen him since?"

"No. Y/N, what is this about?" Kakyoin sat up as well but you went pale.

If Kakyoin had been in his room, then who the hell were you talking to before and who is with Jotaro and Anne right now?!

Maybe it was your panicked state, or maybe it was your lack of sleep, but you just bolted up and ran out of the pool area as you put your jacket back on properly, leaving Kakyoin behind, calling your name in confusion.

You knew they were going to the cable car station to get train tickets for tomorrow. Signs were posted everywhere and from where you were running you could already see the cable cars moving over the city. Luckily, the hotel had been strategically built close to the cable cars for tourists, meaning it was relatively close and only a few minutes away to run there.

Not stopping for even a breather you sprinted out of the hotel and all the way to the cable car station. Covering the ground in record time, within six minutes you reached the stairs that would lead to the platform where you could board. If you were quick enough, you could board the car that was coming into the station right now and after that you'd just have to ride it and wait, hoping Jotaro and Anne were okay.

Jumping up the stairs two steps at a time, you raced past people, muttering 'sorry!'s and 'excuse me!'s all the way to the top, breathing heavily.

Reaching the platforms, you took a second to take a breather and look around. Sweat was running down your back from the sudden intense exercise in the sun and your breathing was heavy, making the people around look at you with a questioning look. You just tried your best to ignore the stares and looked to see a cable car come in, only to startle in surprise when you saw Anne on the phone, frantically looking around.

Willing your legs to move, you quickly jogged up to her and she almost immediately spotted you. "Ah! Y/N is here!" She excitedly called to whoever was on the phone.

"Anne, where is Jotaro and that Kakyoin!?" You called out as you came to a halt next to you.

"Kakyoin isn't Kakyoin and they're in the cable car, there!" She frantically explained before pointing to a cable car mid-ride, moving in the direction towards the station. And indeed, inside you could just barely spot Jotaro's tall stature, nothing but a big black outline in the distance.

"I knew it." You hissed through your teeth and ran up to the rails, trying to see how Jotaro was faring.

"You knew?!" Anne called out but you just ignored her when all of a sudden a crash sounded and you could see Jotaro fall through the bottom of the cable car, yellow goop attached to him and another person being dragged along. "J-Jotaro!" Anne called in surprise and you both watched him fall into the sea below the cable car he was previously in.

"Alright, I'm going down." You said as you looked down the rails you were currently leaning on. There was a quick yet dangerous path down but right now, Jotaro was in danger so you didn't care. There was no time to go all the way down the stairs again and walk the detour.

"Wait! Don't leave me behind!" Anne grabbed your sleeve before you could climb over and you looked back.

"Anne, I have to go." You said but she held a determined look.

"Then take me with you!"

You looked between Anne and the ground down below, the water Jotaro had fallen in not too far away from where you planned to climb down.

Letting out a frustrated noise, you squatted in front of Anne. "Get on and hold on like your life depends on you because it will! I won't be able to hold you so you have to hold on yourself." Anne shouted out a confirmation and you felt her get on your back, immediately latching on and holding on tightly while you got up. "Koala to your best intent, Anne!"

"Okay!"

"Alright, here we go!" With that, you climbed over the railing. Several people called out in surprise and fear but you just ignored them, climbing down to hang on the lowest railing before holding onto a light that was just a little lower. Bringing your body down, you started scaling the steep wall, grabbing onto some grooves in the plaster next before looking behind you. "Okay, Anne, bury your face in my neck."

"W-What? Okay." Anne said, unsure of why but the moment you felt her do that, you pushed off the wall and jumped to the tree standing opposite of it.

Several branches snapped as you jumped into it but you had used your Stand to protect your face from gauging your own eyes out with them. Protecting yourself with your Stand's shield, you fell through the tree. Branches snapped and leaves tore as you crashed through until you finally managed to grab onto a thick and sturdy branch, making your descent come to an abrupt stop.

The sudden jolt caused Anne to lose her grip and she yelped as she fell but she managed to grab onto the collar of your jacket last minute. You choked a little but just focused on holding onto the branch. She attempted to pull herself back up again and you had your Stand help her, grabbing onto her sides and lifting her back up so that she could properly cling onto your back again.

"Sorry." Anne muttered, holding on tight.

"It's okay." Your voice was soft as you answered and you got a little squeeze from Anne in return.

Climbing down the tree, people at the top of the station were screaming down at you, trying to figure out what you were doing but you just continued climbing down the tree as quickly as possible.

Hanging from the lowest branch possible, you dangled for a second before dropping onto the floor like a pack of bricks, nearly falling over due to having Anne on your back. You stumbled for a bit but soon regained your balance, starting to sprint away from the cable car station and towards the water where Jotaro hopefully still was.

You had only been running for about a minute again but you were already panting like a dog once more. You knew that if you stopped to catch your breath now, your legs would give out and not start up again for a long time, so you just pushed through.

"You want me to run by myself?" Anne called out over the noises of the street. Finally, you reached the water and across the bridge to your left, further in, you saw Jotaro and the Stand user. You couldn't see what was going on but you pushed a little further to speed up.

"Can you– keep up?" You breathed out and felt Anne squeeze your shoulder a little in frustration. "Then stay... It's fine."

You were running in a dead sprint over the bridge. All you had to do was take a left and run down the wharf until you reached Jotaro. So that is exactly what you did.

"...Aren't I lucky to have this drain pipe to slurp you into. Man, am I lucky! Time to power up with some crustaceans!" The Stand user was giddily calling out to Jotaro, dressed in nothing but pants while you approached from the back, still running but now with a determined look. "I'll mash you up and turn you into jelly!"

"Yare yare daze." Jotaro sighed before looking up at the man with a small smirk. "When you're focused on every single thing in front of you, it's difficult to observe your surroundings."

"Huh?"

"Hey! Pretty boy!"

The sudden new voice made the man turn around in surprise, only to be met with a face full of shield. He screamed in pain as he flew back, hitting the water with a painful belly flop. He had only surfaced again for a second before Jotaro was right behind him and grabbed him by the hair, an unamused look on his face as he prepared Star Platinum.

Back on the wharf, you sighed a deep sigh of relief. You had made it in time.

"Yea! Don't mess with us!" Anne called out and you chuckled. Even though she couldn't see what you hit the guy with, she was very supportive. Crouching so she could get down – which she did – you let go of Anne, only for your legs to properly give up and fall out from underneath you.

You hit the stones with your back and just panted as you laid there, hearing Star Platinum's battle cry as he punched the user over and over and over while you just tried everything to calm down your burning lungs.

A few seconds later, the sound of a body coming out of the water reached your ears but you were too busy staring at the sky and panting to care.

"Yare yare daze, you need to get better stamina." Jotaro came into your view, blocking out the sun. Water was dripping off of him and you just flipped him off, not having any breath to verbally answer. You just ran all this way to save his ass, how dare he. "Way to behave in front of a kid." He sighed but Anne just snickered. You just waved your hand, you were pretty sure Anne knew way worse than giving someone the bird.

"You alright?" You eventually breathed out, finally finding your voice after running all the way here straight from the hotel.

"Come, let's go get those tickets. That guy won't bother us anymore."

You figured that was Jotaro speech for 'yes, I'm fine'. Groaning, you just closed your eyes, putting one arm over your face while still breathing heavily. You were planning to spend some time relaxing by the pool and now here you were, exhausted and forced to come along on this trip after all. You didn't exactly feel like getting up again.

When you didn't make any move to stand up, you suddenly felt a pair of hands on your torso, lifting you up. "Whaey!" You were stuck between saying 'whoa' and hey' only just now opening your eyes to see yourself be unceremoniously draped over Jotaro's left shoulder – letting out a small 'oof', when you hit it like a sack of potatoes. Jotaro started walking without a word and you blinked twice, finally processing what was going on. You felt the damp moisture still clinging to his jacket seep into your shirt but you didn't even care. In fact, it worked a treat to help you cool down after running in the burning sun. "Eyyy, now I can be the koala." You tiredly snickered out, not even having the energy to fight it for even a second.

You heard Jotaro scoff but it didn't sound like he was annoyed, which made you smile a bit to yourself.

"Hey, we should probably call Mr. Joestar to let him know you're both alright." Anne spoke up. Judging from where her voice came from, you deduced she was probably hanging onto Jotaro's sleeve again, on the side opposite of the shoulder you were on.

"Oh so that is who you were calling." You mused out. Anne leaned back so she could look at you and nodded with a smile.

"Alright. To a phone!" You made a pose with your arms, pointing forwards while holding a determined look on your face. Of course, thanks to you being draped over Jotaro's shoulder, this meant you were pointing the opposite way you were moving.
