Aadhya had a fever, and the relentless head pain was making her cry continuously. Sara tried everything to console her—rocking her gently, speaking soothing words, but nothing seemed to calm her down. Aadhya's tears kept flowing, her little face flushed with discomfort.

Seeing her daughter in such distress, Sara felt a deep sense of helplessness. She tried to distract Aadhya with her favorite toys, even tried humming lullabies, but nothing worked. Aadhya's cries only grew louder, tugging at Sara's heartstrings.

Realizing she needed help, Sara reached for her phone and dialed Shubman's number. He had gone out for an important team meeting, but she knew he wouldn't want to be kept in the dark about their daughter's condition.

"Hello, Shub?" Sara's voice trembled slightly as she tried to keep her composure.

"Sara? What's wrong?" Shubman's voice immediately filled with concern.

"Aadhya's been crying nonstop. She has a fever, and her head is hurting badly. I've tried everything, but she's not calming down."

Shubman's heart clenched at the thought of his little girl in pain. "I'm on my way home," he said without hesitation, already grabbing his keys and heading out. "Just hold on, okay? I'll be there soon."

Sara felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Okay, hurry," she whispered before ending the call.

In the meantime, she cradled Aadhya in her arms, rocking her gently while trying to keep her calm until Shubman arrived. She pressed her lips to Aadhya's forehead, whispering, "Dada's coming, sweetheart. He'll make everything better."

When Shubman finally arrived, he rushed inside, his face etched with worry. As soon as Aadhya saw him, her crying subsided a little, her tiny arms reaching out for him.

Shubman took her from Sara, holding her close. "Hey, baby girl, Dada's here now," he murmured, kissing her forehead.

Aadhya snuggled into his chest, her sobs quieting down as she found some comfort in her father's arms. Shubman gently stroked her hair, his touch soothing her.

Sara watched them, feeling grateful for Shubman's presence. "She's been like this for hours," she said softly, her eyes reflecting the exhaustion and worry she felt.

Shubman looked at Sara, his expression one of deep concern and affection. "We'll take care of her together. Don't worry," he assured her.

They spent the rest of the evening tending to Aadhya, who slowly began to calm down under their combined care. Even though it was a stressful situation, Sara couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort knowing that they were in this together, supporting each other through their daughter's difficult time.

As Aadhya slowly started to calm down in Shubman's arms, Sara knew she needed to make something light and easy for her to eat. She headed to the kitchen to prepare some khichdi, a comforting dish that she hoped would help soothe Aadhya's upset stomach and bring her some relief.

While the rice and lentils simmered on the stove, filling the kitchen with a warm, familiar aroma, Sara thought about Aahan. She was concerned that he might catch whatever bug was causing Aadhya's fever. Deciding it would be best to keep him safe, she called him over.

"Aahan, sweetheart, how about you go and spend some time at Hardik Chachu's house? You can play with Agastya," Sara suggested gently.

Aahan's eyes lit up at the mention of his friend. "Can I, Mumma? Really?" he asked, his excitement evident.

"Yes, you can," Sara smiled, ruffling his hair. "But remember, you need to listen to Hardik Chachu and be on your best behavior, okay?"

Aahan nodded enthusiastically, already thinking about the games he and Agastya could play together. Sara quickly packed a small bag for him, making sure he had everything he needed.

"Shub, I'm sending Aahan to Hardik bhai's place so he doesn't catch anything from Aadhya," Sara called out to Shubman, who was still holding their daughter.

Shubman nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea. He'll have fun, and we can focus on getting Aadhya better."

Sara handed Aahan his bag and kissed his cheek. "Be good, and I'll come to pick you up later, okay?"

"Okay, Mumma!" Aahan grinned and waved goodbye as Sara watched him head out, a spring in his step at the thought of playing with his friend Agastya.

Once Aahan was on his way, Sara returned to the kitchen to finish preparing the khichdi. She carefully mashed it up, making sure it was easy for Aadhya to eat.

Carrying the bowl to the living room, Sara found Shubman sitting on the couch with Aadhya still curled up against him, her tiny hand clutching his shirt.

"Here's some khichdi, Aadhya," Sara said softly, sitting beside them. "It'll make you feel better, I promise."

Aadhya, still sniffling but visibly comforted by her parents' presence, nodded. Shubman gently lifted her up, holding her in his lap while Sara fed her small spoonfuls of the khichdi.

With each bite, Aadhya seemed to relax a little more, the warmth of the food and her parents' care finally helping to ease her discomfort. Shubman and Sara exchanged a relieved glance, knowing that even though it had been a tough day, they were handling it together as a team.

As Aadhya slowly ate the khichdi, her little body began to relax. The warmth of the food and the comforting presence of both her parents seemed to soothe her. She leaned against Shubman, her eyelids growing heavier with each bite. Sara fed her patiently, occasionally wiping away the remnants of her tears from Aadhya's flushed cheeks.

Once the bowl was nearly empty, Aadhya's head started to droop, and it was clear she was ready to sleep. Shubman kissed her forehead and whispered softly, "You're such a brave girl, Aadhya. Daddy's so proud of you."

Aadhya managed a weak smile before her eyes closed completely. Shubman carefully lifted her and carried her to her room, laying her down gently on the bed. He tucked her in snugly, ensuring she was comfortable before turning to leave.

Sara stood by the doorway, watching Shubman with a soft smile. She could see the exhaustion on his face, but also the love and care he poured into their daughter. As Shubman quietly stepped out of the room, Sara reached out to take his hand.

"She'll be okay," Sara whispered, squeezing his hand reassuringly. "You've been amazing with her."

Shubman sighed, running his free hand through his hair. "I just hate seeing her in pain, you know? I wish I could take it all away."

"I know," Sara said, her voice full of empathy. "But you're doing everything you can, and that's what matters."

They walked back to the living room together, where the remnants of the day's stress still lingered in the air. Shubman sat down on the couch, rubbing his temples as the weight of the day settled on him. Sara joined him, sitting close and resting her head on his shoulder.

"Thank you for sending Aahan to Hardik's," Shubman said after a moment. "It was the right call."

Sara nodded, closing her eyes briefly. "I just wanted to make sure Aahan stayed healthy too. And it seemed like he was excited to go, so it worked out."

"Yeah," Shubman agreed, leaning back into the couch. "But now I miss both of them, even if it's only been a little while since Aahan left."

Sara chuckled softly. "They'll be back soon enough, and I'm sure they'll be full of energy again. You'll be wishing for peace and quiet all over again."

Shubman smiled, wrapping his arm around Sara and pulling her closer. "Maybe, but I wouldn't trade it for anything."

As they sat there together, the house felt quieter than usual, but it was a comforting quiet. The storm of the day had passed, and now, in the stillness, they could take a moment to breathe and simply be together.

"Let's try to get some rest," Sara suggested gently, knowing how worn out Shubman must be.

"Yeah, you're right," Shubman agreed, though he didn't make any move to get up just yet. Instead, he stayed where he was, holding Sara close and savoring the peaceful moment, grateful for the strength they found in each other.
