* Yoru's Pov *

After Kohaku, Rin and I finish eating the melon, Rin engages in a conversation with Kohaku while I simply stared out at the window. That's when I noticed familiar figures and Kohaku immediately blows out the fire. 

"Kagome-chan, Miroku-san and Sango too" I mumbled.

"Yoru-sama, do you know them?" Rin ask.

"Kagome-chan is my cousin. Sango and Miroku-san are her companions" I said.

"Huh? Kohaku?" Rin questions.

I turn to see that Kohaku's eyes has changed. My eyes widen.

"Rin it's dangerous!" I said.

As Kohaku was about to attack Rin, I knock Kohaku out and rush to Rin's side while I could sense the demons outside are fighting against Kagome and the others.

"What's wrong with Kohaku?" Rin ask with worry.

"Kohaku is just unconscious. We're getting out of here Rin" I said and opened the door of the hut.

However, Kohaku recovers quick and took Rin out of my sight.

"Rin!"

I immediatly chased after them as they start to ride on one of the demons. I then encountered Inuyasha and Kagome mid way and we start to head for the same direction.

When we reach towards the end of the forest, my eyes widen when Kohaku was about to kill Rin. I won't let him. I have to protect Rin!

"RIN!!"

Just as Kohaku lands an attack, his weapon cut through my right arm.

"Yoru-sama, Kohaku is acting weird!" Rin says. 

"Kohaku, even if you are Sango's younger brother, I won't hesitate to kill you if you kill Rin!" I warned.

However, Kohaku, being controlled by Naraku, doesn't listen to a thing I say and continues attacking while I push Rin out of my way.

"Yoru-sama!"

"Don't get close Rin!" I said. 

I muster up enough strength to push Kohaku away and I used my Poison Thread attack to bind him, preventing him from moving. 

"Damn it Kohaku" I mumbled.

However, Kohaku used his weapons and break the threads and also partially because my arm was injured and thus, weakening me. 

Kohaku lifts his weapons and was about to kill me when I felt Sesshomaru's presence. I smiled with relief. 

"Sesshomaru!"

Kohaku slowly turns to face Sesshomaru which gave me a chance to Rin's side who is somehow unconscious. But luckily her life is not in danger. 

Just then, Inuyasha came in and punch Kohaku much to my shock. Kagome then came and I tell her that Rin is fine. Sesshomaru suddenly has his hands around Kohaku's neck.

"Sesshomaru, don't kill him!" I said. 

After a while, Sesshomaru lets him go to my relief and I carried Rin on my back and goes to Sesshomaru. Soon later, Rin started to regain conscious and turns her worry gaze towards Kohaku.

Kohaku laters escapes into the forest and luckily, Sesshomaru doesn't g after him. A gust of wind came and Kagura takes Kohaku with her. 

"Um, thanks for forgiving Kohaku" says Kagome. 

"That boy tried to died at my hands. I don't want to play into Naraku's treacherous hands, that's all" says Sesshomaru and he startedto move which Rin immediately follows. 

"Kagome-chan, Inuyasha"

"We'll see you again Yoru-san" says Kagome and I smiled.

"Inuyasha, take care of Kagome" I said.

"No need to tell me that everytime we meet" He says and I chuckled and left soon after.

It was late into the night the same day where me and Rin got kidnapped and saved. Rin was sitting by the camp fire with A-Un and Jaken while Sesshomaru and I were not far from them.

"Thanks for sparring Kohaku's life" I said.

"When I had attempted to strangle him, he didn't feel any suffering or pain. I didn't like the look in his eyes" He says.

"Kohaku is Sango's younger brother and he is being controlled by Naraku with the Sacred JEwel fragment in his back" I said.

"That is none of my concern" says Sesshomaru.

"That is what your mouth said but I think you're just denying that. I know that deep down you have a compassionate heart. If not, you wouldn't have let a human like me or Rin by your side" I said.

Sesshomaru remains silent and doesn't say a word and I enjoyed this comfortable silence until I fell alseep while gazing at the stars.
