Sounds of chattering and laughter are surrounded in a grand hall with world-class facilities. The LR mall is the most famous hall in Chennai city. It is situated in the heart of the city T.Nagar. The hall is magnificently designed with mesmerizing flower decorations. The flower decoration was with lush pink and purple floral designs and a red-carpet from the entrance to the stage. Unique floral arrangements on tables and boutonnieres on chairs decorated with draped fabric with bows or ribbons are a gorgeous look.

The center of the attraction is Nishanth Dhuruvan, the groom who is a rugged, dashing man wearing a white dhoti and shirt. The dhoti was of cream color with a perfect gold border. The outfit was of Indian tradition and he was performing the rituals of marriage with a cold face.

The priest requested Nishanth Dhuruvan to repeat mantras after him. But Nishanth Dhuruvan being himself, didn't recite the mantras and stared at the priest with sharp and vicious eyes. The priest was panicked and felt that the groom's eyes had the power to kill people just by looking.

"Nishanth do as he says" a voice interrupted them and Nishanth's facial expressions became normal. She was Nishanth's mom Parvathi. He did as the priest told him. But the priest didn't dare to lift his head.

"All flowers are beautiful in their way and that's like women too". The bride Diya Ramachandran came with a group of girls, who was a stunning beauty but had a fake smile on her face walked to the stage. She was dressed in a glowing red saree where she looked like a cherry in it, with a designer blouse, for which she doesn't need any ornaments.

People's foci were on her saree and jewels, where red has always been the main color related to the wedding in the South. The big faded golden border on the saree is giving it the classic, timeless elegance of all times.

Diya sat next to Nishanth Dhuruvan on the stage. The priest asked them to exchange garlands. Garland symbolizes purity, beauty, peace, love, and passion. It consists of flowers bunched together on a string. The flowers represent excitement, happiness, and beauty - all tied together on a string signifying the marital union.

When Diya turned to her left side, she could only see a stern-faced person. At once, both their eyes met. She had a disgusting feeling towards him. They both accepted the nuptial only for their parent's wish. The couple had mixed emotions but exchanged the garland with a straight face.

Diya thought back, what happened an hour before....... She was in a dilemma about whether to try the last option that she had. The corridor was full of laughter, banters and people overjoyed for the marriage except her. Then she started walking and reached a door. Diya raised her hand to knock on the door. But before that, the door opened with a creak from inside.

Diya in a hurry spilled the words" I want to talk with you"

The man opposite her looked around coldly. His two friends moved out immediately. Yes, it's the groom, Nishanth Dhuruvan.

Nishanth Dhuruvan replied with a domineering voice" What do you want to say hurry up, I have to get ready".

Diya after a moment of hesitation brought up her courage, faced him, and said" STOP THE MARRIAGE, I don't want to marry you!!!".

He was taller than her. So, he looked down at her and said in a hoarse voice "it's too late .... neither you nor I can stop it". And when his gaze landed on her heart-shaped chain, he continued "don't plan to do anything problematic, if you plan to run away, I will break your legs keep this in your mind". Then, he gestured her to get out. Diya was shocked to hear his words and turned to the other side. Tears welled up in her eyes. She wiped it and moved out before anyone recognizes her.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Nishanth Dhuruvan with a sullen and confused look thought back to an incident that happened after Diya left his room.

"Hmmmmm hmmmm, the soon-to-be couple couldn't wait to talk with each other. Are we disturbing you, Nish?? Within an hour you're going to be married, but people can't wait till that. She misses you so much, that deliberately she wants to meet you". Asked his friends while entering the room who was waiting outside until Diya went out. They smirked looking at Nishanth Dhuruvan and continued to tease him.

Nishanth Dhuruvan who was deafened asked them to stop it. They were stilled hearing him shout and Nishanth said, "Idiots, I'm not in the mood to hear your joke and this is not a joke. I'm sure you guys are not here to help me. So.....".

Hearing all these, Diwakar one of Nishanth's friends moved closer and took hold of him. Then asked with concern "What happened, Nish??".

Nishanth shouted, "She wants to elope from here. Are you going to help her??".

Diwakar took back a step and surprisingly asked, "WHAT?"

Nishanth Dhuruvan ordered rubbing his temple, "Keep an eye on her and her friends".

Charles, another friend of Nishanth Dhuruvan said, "Don't worry Nish, we'll take care of it". with an inner thought.

Nishanth stared at him and said, "You bastard, I will not spare any of you, if she escapes".

Both were shocked by his words. Charles went out to know about the situation. But Diwakar went near Nishanth and questioned him, "Did you ask her what was her problem?".

"No, we don't have time for that. You go and do what I've instructed you to do and I want it to be done at any cost. I will get ready".

Both their thoughts were interrupted by Diya's father who asked her to concentrate on the rituals which the priest has been doing all the while. Finally, all rituals were performed one by one. It was time to tie the knot.

Diya had a pleading expression towards her father. But he had no second thoughts for the holy thing happening here. Diya thought her life was finished.

A pair of hands were around her neck. Diya closed her eyes to control her emotions. But all was in vain when she heard Nishanth Dhuruvan speaking to her while tying the knots.

Nishanth Dhuruvan while tying the first knot said, "You'll hate being my wife".

The second knot she could hear him saying "I'll make your life a living hell".

And during the third and final knot, he smirked and said, "You'll regret accepting this marriage and living each second of your life with me".

On hearing the heart-rending words from him, she cried profusely. She looked at her dad, who was beaming with happiness and unconcerned about his daughter's mentality. He even didn't have a thought to clarify or to know the reason for her change of mind. All family members and people present in the hall thought that it was because of her happiness but only she knew the agony.

The marriage was completed. Even though there was a lot of music, sound, laughter, and more happy symbols conveying her, this is the happy and precious moment of her life. She knew her life is not going to be contended or cheerful like others expect. Her face could only convey all types of suffering and discomfort. Not just because of her separation from her parents but also the life that she's going to lead.

For every woman, marriage is a turning point in her life. In Diya's case, she is separated from her parents and entering a new life with absolute strangers. Now, Diya has also reached that trail.
