Laurent's Point of View

I am Laurent Wilson and I am a vampire . Yeah ! You red it right , I am a vampire . Well , hindi lang ako nag iisa . There is my mom Melissa Fray and my dad Stephan Lorenz Wilson .. And the famous painter , model and my best friend's mom , Eureka Cecaniah Marsielle who are also a vampire like me . I am 1,018 years old in immortal time and 20 years old in appearance here in the mortal world .

I am willing to protect and sacrifice everything for my friend , why ? Should I , or shouldn't I reveal my true intention ? Well , I can answer it this time because it will be a big spoiler ..

"Laurent ?" her soft voice woken me up from my monologue .

"Hmm ?" I said while still focusing to the road , because I am driving .

Euphemia suddenly touched my hand . I looked at her and I saw so much worries in her eyes .. Why ? What's the matter ?

"Why ?" I asked .

"Can I ask something ?" she said without letting my hand go .

I parked my car to the available parking space along the restaurant we are going . I faced her holding her hands . "What is it ?" she is like a kid with lots of questions . Well , she is still a kid all along . All I can do is to answer the things that disturbs her .

"If dad is a half-human and half-vampire , and mom is a pureblood vampire .. What am I ?" she asked .

"Well .." hinawakan ko ang baba ko na parang may balbas dito at kunwari'y nag iisip .

There are lots of lies and secrets in this world . I can't tell her those things at once . "Laurent .. Alam kong matanda ka na kaya tigilan mo ginagawa mo !!" singhal nya .

"Well , you may be a .. Lycan .." sabi ko .

"What the heck !! Laurent , kung magsisinungaling ka , galingan mo naman .." anas nito sabay bitaw sa kamay ko .

Natatawa naman na lumabas ako sa kotse ko . Umikot ako at binuksan ang pinto ng passenger seat . I hold her hand para alalayan sya .

"I can't tell you .. Pag malaki ka na .."

"Pero --"

"At pag handa ka na .." putol ko dito .

"Tigilan mo yan at nagmumukha kang pato .." natatawa kong puna ..

Malalim na buntong hininga ang pinakawalan nya .."Ang lalim ahh .. Aabot kaya yan sa sea floor ng Pacific Ocean ?" biro ko .

"Laurent naman ehh !!" sinamaan na nya ako ng tingin na nagpatahimik sakin pero lihim akong napangiti dahil ang cute cute nya pag nagagalit .

"Sige na .. Hindi na po uulit .." may lambing na sabi ko .

Inangkla ko ang kanyang kamay sa aking braso at nagsimula ng maglakad papasok . "Good evening , Mademouiselle (Miss) , Monieur (Sir) . Do you have reservation ?" tanong ng lalaki sa reservation desk .

"Marsielle-Wilson .. Table for two .." ani ko .

Binuklat nya ang kanyang libro at saka tumango ng mahanap ang hinahanap . "This way .." nagpatiuna sya sa paglalakad . Sinundan lang namin sya ni Euphemia towards our table .

"Thanks .. You may go ." ani ko sa lalaki . Tumango ito at saka naglakad palayo .

Inusog ko ang upuan at inalok na umupo si Euphemia na animo'y batang manghang-mangha sa lugar . Umupo din sya ng mapansin ako . Umupo naman ako sa kabilang parte ng mesa . Hudyat para lumapit ang waiter . He gave us their menu book at hinintay ang order naming dalawa .

"A bottle of a red wine .. Carlo Rossi [A.N : My favorite wine ^_^ ] to be exact and .." tumingin ako kay Euphemia na nakatingin parin sa menu ..

"Ikaw na bahala Laurent .." muntik na ako mahulog sa kinauupuan ko sa sagot nya .

"A pair of beef steak .. Half cooked sana .." dagdag ko kay waiter . Binigay namin ang menu at saka lang ito umalis ..

"Seriously , di ko pa ba pwede malaman ?" tanong nya .

"Sorry , pero wala ako sa lugar para magsalita .. You better ask your parents ." sabi ko .

"Ano ba ang feeling na maging tulad mo ?" tanong nya muli .

"Malungkot .." I simply said .. "Lalo na pag walang nagmamahal sayo ." dagdag ko .

"Walang nagmamahal ? Ano pa ang silbi ko sa buhay mo ?" tanong nya .

I smiled and touched her cheeks . This sweet girl .. Naive yet lovely .. "You changed my life my dear .." ani ko .

"Talaga ?" nakangiting tanong nya .

I nod and smile with so much amusement . Yeah .. She gave me a reason for me to go on .. But feelings is your biggest opponent ..

"Sir .." napalingon ako sa nagsalita .

The waiter placed our orders on the table . He removed the wine's cork at bago pa sya magsalin , I signalled him to stop . "Ako na ang bahala .." he nod and walked away .

I dropped some blood tablets before pouring the red wine .. I let it dissolve before drinking it ..

Ang hirap , ang hirap mamuhay na nakadepende lamang sa mga blood tablets .. The last time I drunk fresh blood is eight years ago ..

Napatingin ako sa kaharap ko na nagsisimula ng maghiwa ng steak .. Her blood is so sweet , I can't forget the taste of it .. I am craving for more .. Pero dahil espesyal sya sa akin .. Di ko pwedeng gawin iyon ..
