The light humming that came from an apartment that belonged to the Xcution Organization could only be heard if one got close enough. No one really ever bothered the person who sat hard at work in that home. Only one person cared as they sat in front of a computer screen eighty-five percent of their day, only occasionally getting out of the house to buy a new program or CD.

A set of headphones blasted music, the female nodding her head to the beat. This mixed with the codes and information on the screen made it easy for the girl to loose touch with everything around her. A hand pulled away one of the large earphones and spoke,

"What you listening to, Becky?"

The girl squeaked in alarm, throwing back her elbow in defense. However, a ready hand caught it before landing a blow in their face. "Ginjo! I swear to God one of these days I'm going to seriously kick your ass!"

"Feh, as if you could, kid."

"Kid! I'm twenty-five!"

"Yeah, but you look eighteen."

"I really don't like you," the young woman grumbled, pulling away the headphones. "Yet you still always manage to show up somehow. What can I do for you?"

Ginjo dropped a small stack of papers onto the desk. "I'm looking for all the details on the Soul Society you can gather from the last year."

"I don't come cheap."

"How could I forget?" He dropped a small packet, a brown bag, and a cup filled with a mixed berry smoothie.

Her eyes lit up, quickly slurping up the drink. "Just keep these coming and you'll get your information."

"We'll see. I'm a busy man."

Becky rolled her eyes. "Right, cuz running the Xcution is so hard," she spoke sarcastically.

"It is now since we've got a new member."

"Oh? Anyone I know?"

"No. And it would be better if you didn't. I can't guarantee your safety if you get involved in our matters."

"Please, I'm your hacker. I think I'm already involved."

"The less you know about us the better, got it," Ginjo growled.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, thanks for the food."

Grunting, the man left.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Becky hummed to herself as the information she had gathered in the last twelve hours printing a few feet away. Stretching, the young woman got up, throwing her trash into the garbage, and jumping in the shower. The hot water cooled her aching muscles, the warmth very welcoming. She almost didn't want to get out, but the growling of her stomach said otherwise.

All of the information had been printed, and she grabbed it, heading for the kitchen. Becky quickly fixed a meal, eating the food while looking over the papers to make sure everything was there. The young woman sighed heavily after reviewing the last few pages. "You damn idiot," she mumbled. The girl had half a mind to discard the last bit of information, seriously weighing the options. Even if Becky gave Ginjo the information, would he take the last bit seriously? Probably not. His ego, and hardheaded attitude will help him believe that the Soul Society wouldn't bother coming after him. The man would think of another way to try and elude them for a bit longer. However, Becky knew how smart the Soul Reapers were, and the brilliant minds of their Captains would look at his movements from every angle. Nothing was safe anymore.

Leaving the stack on the kitchen table, Becky retreated into the den once again and started on another project for a client. Ginjo came three hours later, spotting the stack of papers, and seeing the glowing of the computer from the other room. Becky was lying on top of the desk, arms crossed and being used as a pillow. Her eyes were closed, breathing lightly. The man grinned, walking in and bending down. His lips lightly kissed the young woman's shoulder. "Wake up, Becky," he murmured. "And go to bed properly."

Becky groaned in response, nuzzling into her arm before sitting up. Sighing heavily, she looked up at Ginjo. "So annoying, I was sleeping."

"Feh, you're gonna give yourself a kink in the neck if you were in that position for that long, and you know it. Remember the last time? You couldn't turn your head to the left for days."

"Shut up," the girl grumbled, rolling her eyes.

"Come on, Becky," Ginjo pushed, draping an arm over her shoulders. "Your bed isn't going to bite."

"But I want to keep working," she whined.

"Go to bed. That's an order."

Grumbling, the young woman stood up, dragging her feet toward the mattress. She flopped down onto it face first, snuggling into the pillow. "All the info is on the kitchen table. You're in hot water, Ginjo. I hope you know that."

"Feh, as if the Soul Society can follow my plans."

"I'm serious, you better watch out."

"I'm not concerned."

"Of course not," Becky said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

Ginjo watched the human lying on her bed comfortably. Seven years ago he found the then eighteen-year-old Becky Kamiki at her High School graduation. She was an orphan, living at the local orphanage. The workers there had put the girl through school like the others, only when a child reaches the age of eighteen and does not have a family they have to leave after completing school. Ginjo had been watching the girl for some time now, realizing her talent in computers and hacking. For extra money, Becky took on clients from all over, gathering information no matter how easy or difficult the task was. Her code name was 'Vulpine', meaning someone related to a fox, being crafty or cunning in nature. She could evade every hacker that tried to find her, and trick anyone into giving information be it computer or human.

Ginjo approached Becky after the ceremony as everyone went off with his/her families. "You surprise me," he spoke, gaining the teen's attention.

"Who are you?"

"Ginjo Kugo. But I know who you are, Vulpine."

Becky's eyes widened, stepping back in caution. "Are you here to kill me? No one knows about me."

"I have a gaming genius who was able to stumble upon and locate you."

"Impossible..."

"It is since he doesn't even use a computer. He has a power that can create worlds and enter them. He entered yours."

"What do you want?"

"You. I want Vulpine to work for me as my primary hacker."

"How do I know you're telling the truth? You could easily be leading me to my death."

Ginjo got down on one knee, bowing his head. "You have my word, that I will look after and protect you if Vulpine becomes my hacker."

"I don't need your help... But I am in need of a place to live."

"I can grant you that, and safety if you come and work for me."

Becky watched Ginjo, wondering if she could really trust him. "First, my name is Becky Kamiki. If you go around calling me by my hacker name you are going to kill me, Ginjo. Second, I'll come work for you, but I want to have other clients as well, not just you. I need money. And three, how soon do I move in?"

Ginjo smirked. "Today."

She opened up as the years went by, and Ginjo came to find the girl could be a real child at heart sometimes over the little things. Her appearance was still of a teenager, which is why he called her 'kid', much to her annoyance. Though he saw her as a woman in many ways. The two had developed feelings for each other, and become involved.

"Penny for your thoughts," Becky muttered. "You never stay late, unless you tell me in advance, and leave right away. Something is bothering you."

"You don't know that."

"Ginjo, we've been together for years, I think I'd learn a thing or too, much to your dislike." Becky smirked at Ginjo shaking his head in defeat. She didn't even have to see him do it.

"Why are you still around?" he outright asked.

She cracked open her visible eye. "Huh?"

"Usually, hackers don't stay for so long. So, why are you still around? You have enough money, a career. I gave you everything from our deal."

"Do you want me gone?"

"That's not the point."

"If you don't tell me why you asked such an stupid question then leave. I want to sleep."

"I'm curious."

Becky sighed. "I like working for the Xcution Organization. You're not a bad client. Your company isn't bad either..." She yawned, sinking farther into the mattress.

"I don't think I could be that much fun."

"Please, it's better than it was when I used to be at the orphanage. Everyone else got picked and was given families. I was left behind. Only the kids gave me a place. But when I was about to get kicked out you gave me a home. I'm not going anywhere." Closing her eye again, Ginjo bent down, kissing Becky's cheek.

"Good," he muttered. "I'll be back later."

Becky blushed, opening her eyes to watch him leave. With that arrogant attitude of his against the Soul Society's actions, she was doubtful he would return. "It was fun while it lasted."
