(Y/n) and I dropped to the floor covering our ears as a loud boom echoed. And there he was, his shadow looming over us.

"S o W e a k . . ." I was sheltering (y/n)s quivering body in my arms. I wouldn't let him lay a finger on her. I couldn't.

"Leave us alone dark! We promised that you would leave! YOU promised!" He ignored my words and kept a blank look on his face.

"Mark! (Y/n)!" I could see séan run down the hallway towards the lab we we're in. Dark lifted his hand and with one fleeting movement he made the metal door slam shut. I could hear him banging his fists on the other side. (Y/n) was quietly crying into my shoulder. Dark kneeled down to her height placing a hand on (y/n)s shoulder. She flinched and looked into his dark black eyes.

"H u s h   M y    D e a r . . . Y o u ' l l   B e   S a f e    W i t h  M e ." I attempted to pull her closer to me, however, dark had a firm grip on her arm.

"Get your fucking hands off of her you dick!" I tried to lunge for him but as I did, he quickly stood up pulling (y/n) to her feet. He pulled her into his chest, taking a step back and placing his palm on the side of her head. I knew what powers he withheld and what he could do with them. The last person I wanted to see him use them on was (y/n). We both stood tensely, not avoiding eye contact at all. (Y/n) softly cried, her eyes scrunched up and her hand gripped on to darks other arm which was looped around her neck.

"Don't you fucking dare..."

"H m m . . . A l l    T h e    p o s s i b i l i t i e s . . . I  C o u l d  M i n d    C o n t r o l  H e r ,  o r . . . I  C o u l d    B l o w  H e r    P r e t t y    L i t t l e  B r a i n s    O u t " I felt so helpless, there was nothing I could do!

"What do you want with her dark?" I inquired.

"I  W a s  T h e    O n e    W h o    M a d e    H e r    I m m u n e .  S h e  H a s  S o m e t h i n g    I  N e e d,    A n d    I  W a n t    h e r    a s  m y    p e t . " he would treat her like pure shit if she fell into his arms.

"Please, Let's make a de-"

"N O !   E n o u g h    D e a l s    M a r k . . . I t s  T i m e  I  H a d  M y     F u n " he snarled. swirling black smoke started to form behind them. Dark removed his hand from her head and hooked it around her waist meaning she was incapable of moving. They stepped back into the misty mess, it swirling around their bodies.

"G o o d b y e . . . B r o t h e r . " I tried to reach out to (y/n) into the fog but all that was left was the remaining black smoke quickly disappearing from my hand. My knees crumbled and i fell to the floor, head in hands. The metal doors that dark had shut now reopened the group ran to me, séan viciously shook my shoulders trying to wake me from my trance. But nothing could, I sat there, helplessly vulnerable, knowing I might never see (y/n) again.

Your pov ~

As I saw the black mist envelop me, mark started to fade from my vision. I could see the tears streaming down his distraught face. I tried to let out a shrill scream for help only for 'dark' to hush me.

"H u s h  m y   d e a r . . . w e ' l l    s o o n  b e  h o m e . " he placed his hand over my eyes. He smelt like smoke, it seemed to infect my lungs. I could feel my breathing start to race.

"T i m e    t o  s l e e p    d a r l I n g . . . " and with those words everything darkened into blackness.

Time skip~

I seemed to wake with a throbbing headache to the back of my head and to the left.

"Fuck..." I went to go tend to the problem with my hand however, there seemed to be something restricting wrists. rope. I looked upwards at the dim flickering lights then back down to the situation I seemed to be in. i was sitting in a rickety old chair, hands roped behind my back and my ankles also tied to the chair legs. I attempted to wriggle out of my restraints only to give up in helpless valour. Realising resistance was futile so I took in my surroundings.

The room was square and I was placed in a corner, my back towards the wall. I could see that in the centre of the room on the ceiling was a hook, and on that hook was long chains dangling to the floor. On the other wall opposite me, centre piece was a large metal door which seemed quite bunker like. Diagonally opposite me was a large box, its contents a mystery to me. Suddenly I heard heavy footsteps approach the door. My mind flitted between printing to still be asleep on just giving him an evil glare. He would probably know if I wasn't asleep so I went with the second option. The large door creaked open and there he stood looking at me like I was some kind of piece of meat. As I decided I glared at him, sneering.

"D I d    y o u    s l e e p  w e l l  m y  l o v e ? " I kept silent. He slowly stepped towards me and suddenly his tone became very hushed and soothing compared to his low, booming voice which I had only heard up until currently. He now stood in front of me. Suddenly his eyes flashed brown and skin turned from a pale grey to a very light tannish colour. All I could see in front of me, was mark.

"M-mark?..." he grasped the side of his head and wavered slightly.

"(Y-Y/n)?.... oh my god, I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me! Dark took over again!" He cupped my cheeks in his palms staring into my eyes longingly. Nothing added up but I was so blind in front of who I assumed was the love of my life. mark leaned in and left a lingering kiss on my lips. However his lips where cold, harsh and coarse, thats what snapped me out of my puppy love daze.

He leaned back into an upright position with a snickering grin. I wasn't falling for this bullshit, I wasn't gonna let him tease me like a toy. I directly spat on his face. He tightly shut his eyes and grimaced. He wiped my saliva and I smiled to myself feeling rather accomplished. However I wasn't expecting a retaliation. He sent a flying punch to my face, I heard a crunch and a crack then liquid falling from my nose. I knew at that moment he had broken it. My head hung low as blood continued to run down my face.

"Y o u  f u c k i n g    w h o r e " he grunted, my mind fleeted between consciousness and unconsciousness. He turned around and as he walked away i tried to lift my head only for it to dangle again as I faded into blackness.
