I sigh, staring at the carpeted ground. I've been sitting for almost an hour, waiting for Billie's plan to arrive. It's been nine months without her; she's been on her world wide tour. Meanwhile, I stayed home and went to college, wondering if she would ever come back. Billie loves going on yours and seeing her fans and I thought that without me, she would find some other girl. Find someone who would have time to go on tour with her and support her.

I kick my feet and glance around, distracting myself from those thoughts. The airport is decently small, with people milling around. I watch as families chat and reunite and then my gaze lands on two girls who are crying and holding each other. They kiss. Even though everyone around them looks at them oddly; even though they could be beat up for loving each other.

"Flight 708 has landed," someone's voice says on an inercon.

I stand. That's Billie's flight.

After several minutes of agonizing waiting, Billie and her family appear, dragging their huge suitcases behind them. Billie's mom waves at me and I wave back. Billie then mutters something to them and they walk away; Billie herself approaches me, her eyes sparkling.

"Y/N," she says.

All the doubts in my mind fall away and I sprint into her outstretched arms. My girlfriend spins me around, laughing.

"You're home," I say, once she puts me down.

Billie smiles and holds me tight. I snuggle into her warmth; I've missed having her hold me, missed having her sing to me when I was scared, I've missed her more than anything. Billie presses her lips to mine even though everyone is watching. She tastes like vanilla and cherry Chapstick. Once we pull apart, Billie smacks my butt.

"I can't wait to go home," she winks at me.

"Neither can I."
