Danny, Tucker, and I were currently in Lancer's office, awaiting the punishment that he was probably itching to hand out. Lancer was looking through files while Dash leans against the wall, seemingly satisfied with his actions. Ew.

Lancer pulls out a single file and reads from it aloud. "Tucker Foley. Chronic tardiness, talking in class, repeated loitering by the girl's locker room."

I shot Tucker a look, which he quickly whispered. "Not while you were in there!"

He took out another file, again, reading from it. "Danny Fenton. Thirty-four dropped beakers in the last month, banned for life from handling all fragile school property, but no severe mischief before today."

Danny sent a smirk at me, saw me shake my head a bit, and looked back toward the front. Finally, Lancer took out one last file, which I assumed was mine. "(Y/N) (L/N). Has caused no incidents until a month ago. Freed a hamster from its home room after it fell from its wheel."

Danny and Tucker glances are me and I shrugged. "It wanted to be free."

"So, dear students, please tell me," Lancer started, "WHY DID THE THREE OF YOU CONSPIRE TO DESTROY THE SCHOOL'S CAFETERIA?!"

Danny was immediately on the offense, saying, "It was Dash's fault! He threw-"

He was interrupted by Lancer listing off Dash's achievements. "Four touchdown passes in the last game is thereby exempt from scorn. You three, however, are not. I'll map out your punishment when I return. Mr. Baxter, watch the door."

Once Lancer leaves, Dash closes the door with an ugly smirk. He's sees me look at him, and sends a wink my way, which I reply to with a grimace. The three of us stand up.

"We gotta find Sam," Tucker spurts out, "For some reason, I feel like I got her kidnapped."

"Maybe because you told the ghost she changed the menu? How about that?" Danny retorts. I sigh at his attitude. "Hey, all of us are to blame for this one. Danny, you and I weren't able to save Sam because of our lack of ability. Tucker, you shouldn't have told the ghost about the menu change."

Once I finish, Tucker starts sniffing the air frantically. "That steak is still in the building. 200 yards, tops."

I shake my head and cross my arms. "You are literally the weirdest person I know, and honestly, that's a compliment."

I look to Danny, who's looking at a row of TVs of the basement. On screen are boxes and boxes of meat, with one having a trail of. . . leaking out off-screen. I nudge my best friend, and we both have the same thought. "Meat trail."

Danny and I grab Tucker and bring him with us through the floor. We arrive at the basement, and I swear I could hear Lancer yelling. "We are gonna be in so much trouble when this whole thing is over."

Danny smirks at me and says, "Meh, we usually get out of it anyway. Besides, freeing a hamster? I couldn't ever imagine a worse crime!"

I playfully shove him, making him laugh a bit. Tucker groans and throws his hands up. "Can you two please stop flirting for five minutes?!"

     "I'm not flirting with her!"
     "I'm not flirting with him!"
