Once Max managed to find a parking spot, you couldn't wait any longer to see your mother again, you rush out of the Rustbucket, ignoring eleven-year-old Ben calling out for you to slow down.

You rushed to the front door to your house and pressed the doorbell button a thousand times.

You quickly prepped up, making sure your hair was neat, you black shorts and (f/c) t-shirt was wrinkle and stain free, you looked down, making sure you converse weren't dirty either, so your mom doesn't freak out.

A minute pass and the front door opened wide,  a woman with (h/c) hair and sea green eyes made an appearance. Despite being summertime, she wore mom jeans and a yellow vertical stripe polo shirt. Not being given the time to react, you went ahead, throwing yourself into her, wrapping your arms around her neck.

"Hey mom, " you greeted with a grin, "Miss me?"  You got off her, your mom ruffled your (h/c) hair, causing strands to point different directions.

" (Y/n)! How was your summer with the Tennyson, did you have fun?" Your mother asked as you entered the cool house, she probably put on the air conditioner."Great, I have so much to tell you, mom, first, about the fire incident, I-"

"You forgot your stuff, bean sprout!" Ben yelled as he grabbed from behind, making you playfully turn to glare at him, giving him the 'Put me down!' look. You puffed up your cheeks when you just remembered what he said. " I'm not small! I'm just short for my age!I'll grow eventually, believe it!" You yelled. And you slapped him on the arm, causing him to hiss in pain.

"And quit calling small...I won't be like this forever, ya know..!"

"In your dreams!" as the brown-haired boy was about to say anything else, his orange head cousin smacked him in the back of the head, with even looking at him.

"Don't call (y/n) that, you dweeb! She obviously doesn't like to be called that!" Gwen said, you and Gwen were at each other's throats when you first met, but now, you have gotten closer and became the best a friend, Ben still at first place.

"Can it, Gwen! I wasn't talking to you!" Ben yelled back. The two fought each other to little (Y/n)'s room.

You were about to join them and break up the fight until your mother pulled you by the shoulder.

" You and Max need to hear this, (Y/n)." Your mother said, she served a glass of milk and cookies, you started to get chary, and you squinted your eyes at  'She usually has bad news when milk and cookies are involved...' you though.

Like when you were five, you got your first fish which lived a total of ten days and died by your mother who accidentally dropped the bowl, or, that one time when she mistakenly told you Santa wasn't real...

"What's the bad news....?" You asked, helping yourself with some [Favorite type of cookie]. You sure that whatever it is, it's probably not that bad.

Max; a close friend to the (l/n)'s, was pretty curious himself.

Your mother breathing in, overflowing with confidence "We're moving!" You nearly choked on your cookie you just swallowed, but thanks to Max patting you on the back, you survived.

" Sorry, I may have had milk in my ears, SAY THAT AGAIN!?" You yelled with disbelief, getting up.

"We're moving out of Bellwood!" Your mother repeated and she literally had the decency to smile at a time like this.

You gave her a deep glare, wondering what the heck was so funny about moving; relocating to another place. "Please...please tell me this is all just a joke, you're messing with me, you and Max...right..?" you asked, weakly.

" Looks like your mother got a promotion!" Max said, in a cheery tone, 'So...this isn't a joke...'

"How come you didn't tell me when I left for the summer!?" You yelled, slamming your fist on the table.

Angelina, wiped her (h/c) hair to the side, shrugging, noticing how angry you were." Look, I know this heartbreaking and all, leaving your friends like Ben and Gwen, the school and neighborhood, you grew up in, but-"

" IT IS HEARTBREAKING, MOM! DON'T YOU SEE!?" Without you noticing, your iris slowly turned cherry red.

Angelina and Max looked at you, both thinking 'Not again...' your eyes sometimes turn red when you were angry, it was still unknown why. To make it turn back to normal, it usually means you have to be hugged by a someone you love or close to you.

"And what about Ben...!? He was the first person to be friends with me and ignored the weird side of me..! Gwen too!  It's not fair..! Now I have to start all over again, without making friends and being bullied again, It's not fair...! It's not..."

You didn't even want a hug from your own mother, so Max had to do the honors and embrace you.

"It's okay, (Y/n). I  know how it feels, to move away from your friends and family." the old man with the red Hawaii shirt hugged you tighter as you were sobbing in on his redshirt.

After the commotion, you went upstairs to your room without saying a word after that.

Once you entered your room, or what you like to call, your den, the two of your best friend stopped fighting and turned to you.

"What's wrong (Nickname)? Did the word been sprout really affect you?" Gwen asked, noticing your watery eyes. You quickly wiped your eyes, not wanting to show weakness in front of them.

Ben was quiet for a moment until he got up from his spot and patted you on the head.

You didn't know whether to slap his hand off or to let him comfort you, you just let him,  "Gee...did it really offended you with that word...?" he muttered, avoiding your gaze.

To be honest.. you had these feeling for Ben since last year....something about his personality made you feel more confident about yourself, you usually tried acting cute around him to get his attention which sometimes makes his face heat up, which you enjoy making fun of.

One time, you even told him you liked him out of the blue, he nodded saying "I like you as a friend too, (Y/n)." He can be such a dolt sometimes, but I guess you liked him for being him.

You didn't bother to correct him after the 'confession', there was nothing to be embarrassed about since he was still unaware of your feelings, which caused you to almost rip the hair out of your skull.

While Gwen was distracted reading books you had scattered all over the floor, you came closer to Ben, sitting beside him and hugging your knees.

"Ben...will you ever forget me if I were gone...?" the boy looked up from the comic book he was reading, you looked kind of miserable at the moment.

"Of course not, C'mon, [nickname]." Ben said, placing a hand on your shoulder, "Were best friends!"

You could have sworn you were about to cry again, but you held it all and folded your arms around his shoulder, "..you a best friend a girl can ever have, you know that...?" you grinned, unaware that his ears turned pink.

" Get a room you too!" Gwen said annoyed, you almost forgot she was still in the room!

"This is my room, dummy!"
