Pops Fernandez is celebrating her 40th year in the entertainment industry with a two-night concert titled "Always Loved" at the Theatre at Solaire in Paranaque City on February 9 and 10, 2024. Reflecting on her milestone, Pops expressed surprise at her longevity in the business, originally expecting only a 10-year run. Despite challenges, she found her rhythm, and the concert will showcase both new and classic songs, including "Get it Poppin'" catering to a new generation of fans.

"Really? You're celebrating?" Mart asked Pipay.

"Yeah, why not right?" Medyo nag-aalinlangan siyang sabihin ito dahil nga in past few years she  had acid reflux na nakaapekto sa voice niya at for sure nag-aalala lang ang mga taong mahal niya if she push to have her 40th anniversary concert. "Why? Your kontra?" She asks him. 

"No! Why do I make kontra? Thank God! Narinig niya all my prayers na you'll go back in concert and celebrate your 40th year in the business" he smiled and hugged Pipay.

"I thought you were going to be mad because I'm going to push it without your knowledge"
 
"I'm happy, Pipay seriously, I'm proud of you na agad. Wag moko kalimutan to be your guests hmm" pagbibiro nito.

Nahampas naman siya ni Pipay sa braso, "Of course you'll be part of it, no! Whether you like it or not hahaha" sabay tawa nito na kala mo nang-aasar. (Iykyk what I meant in "whether you like it or not" 😜)

After that conversation, the day arrived when Pops announced that she would be having a concert. It spread like a fire; they announced to the public/nationwide ang magiging concert ng naturang Concert Queen of the Philippines, and all the fans were excited because, finally after so many years na hindi nakikita on screen si Pipay ngayon ay nagbabalik to do a concert entitled "Always Loved" samu't saring ekspresyon ang mga nararamdaman ng mga ito.

Pops is grateful for all the people who always support her, and Martin is one of those. 
 

Feb. 9. 2024 / 1st Day of Concert

"Are you okay, wifey?" Joy Ortega asked her.

"Nervous as usual, but I can manage" she says, slightly smiling, but deep inside she's totally kinakabahan talaga because this is the day. Dumating na yung araw na haharap siya ulit sa mga tao to perform and make all the people happy with her songs. Hindi niya alam kung anong nangyayari sa labas at mangyayari pa when the show started. All she thinks is that she is finally doing what her first love was, which was to perform on stage, sing her songs, and make people happy.

"You can do it, wifey! We are all here to support you, and all your fans are here, yung iba Gen Z pa nga hahaha iba ka girl!" Pagcoconsole ng kaibigan nito at nagawa pa niyang biruin.
 
"Thank you, wifey. I love you guys!" And she hugged joy.
 

25 minutes before the show started. Someone approaches Pipay backstage holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Alam na alam talaga ng taong to paano pakalmahin si Pipay. It's her mother-in-law. Conchita – Martin's mom.

"Hi mommy!" Pipay greeted and hugged her mom once she saw it. They make beso beso, and Conchita gives the flowers to Pipay. "Here, I know you're nervous, but always remember that we're all here and love you, okay? Galing galing kaya ng anak kong 'to." 

"Aysus si Mommy naman bolera" and then she hugged her mom once again. Palinga linga siya ng kumalas sa yakap, animo'y may hinahanap, and oo tama nga may hinahanap siya the person she needs to see bago man magstart ang show. The person who makes her calm and the person who is always by her side pushing her to do what her love is. "Nasan na kaya yun?" Bulong nito.

"Wag mo ng antayin, ayan nasa likod mo na" sambit ng mom niya na nakanguso pa na tinuturo ang nasa likod ko.

The man who wears a suit and is holding a bouquet of flowers also. 

"Looking for me ha" nakangiting sambit nito.

"Kapal mo! Syempre hahanapin kita baka di ka sumipot dahil wala kang tf dito eh" she rebutted.

"Sus, if I know kanina mo pa ako hinahanap no, I sense it kahit di mo sabihin" pang-aasar nito.

If you're wondering sino siya. Siya lang naman yung taong naging parte ng buhay ni Pipay through bad times and good times. The one and only Concert King himself. Martin Nievera.
 
"Tama na yan asaran nyo no? and any minutes magsisimula na ang show. Ikaw Mart alam mo naman ang routine nyong dalawa pag may ganitong event diba? Need magkita bago magstart ang show eh bakit late ka aber?" Awat ni Conchita sa dalawa while nanenermon.

"Sige mommy pagalitan mo yan. Ganyan yan lagi pinapakaba muna ako" sumbong naman ni Pipay.

"I'm having difficulty na makapasok agad ang daming tao sa parking. Also, bumili pa ako neto" pakita nito ng box na malaki. Lumapit ito sakin at ipinakita. "Ohhhh, it's a heels in fairness bagay sa suot ko, thankyouu ba-Mart."

"Syempre ako pumili eh, so bagay talaga yan parang tayo?" banat neto.

The show started, and the crowd was energetic all the time. Pipay was so overwhelmed by the crowd because she didn't expect that there'd be a lot of people there, mostly all of them from Gen Z.
 

She sang one of her signature songs, like Little Star, Dito, Don't Say Goodbye, and many more. She also sang her newest song, "Always Loved and Get It Poppin." There's a lot of guests; one of them is her Ka Love Team and her ex-husband (?) Martin Nievera. 
 
They are still the best love team!
 
"I think I would have lasted 40 years kung hindi ko po siya nagging ka partner, bakit po? Dahil with him, he made me shine more... he has taught me how to be more passionate about my career and my art. It took a long time, but yes, that was all because of him, and yes, even now, through all ups and downs, we are still stuck together, whether we like it or not. Please welcome the Concert King, Martin Nievera."

I'm preparing myself because in a few minutes, Pipay will introduce me to perform with her. Anyway, my wife is still amazing at how she makes the crowd hype and dance with her. Amazing! 

Yes, you read it right. His wife. They had a reconciliation a year ago, and they decided not to announce it because they wanted to enjoy their moment together. Syempre pag nalaman na naman na they together again, marami na namang issues na lalabas, and yet it will be tiring to answer all the questions about how they get back together. They do not prefer that. But someday they will face it and shout to the whole world that they get back together and be a happy couple, as we wish way back then.

"Stuck together whether we like it or not, ah, eh magkasama naman tayo always" was on his mind. 

"I think I would have lasted 40 years kung hindi ko po siya nagging ka partner, bakit po? Dahil with him, he made me shine more... he has taught me how to be more passionate about my career and my art. It took a long time, but yes, that was all because of him, and yes, even now, through all ups and downs, we are still stuck together, whether we like it or not. Please welcome the Concert King, Martin Nievera." Pipay introduce him.

"Stuck together whether we like it or not. Whaaaaat?" Kunware walang alam pero deep inside his kinikilig.
 
He did his number, and it was all fun and amazing. Indeed, he is truly a Concert King.

As per Sir Daddie Wowie, "Always Loved" is more than a mere trip down memory lane, it is thrilling acknowledgement of a remarkable profession that has been touched many heart of every individuals. Through the captivating strength of music, always loved showcase how our Concert Queen / Ms. Pops Fernandez extraordinary abilities to build abond with her fans.

I agree with his statement. Pops Fernandez is not Pops Fernandez, the Philippines Concert Queen, for nothing. She proved to us that night that she's a total performer; she can sing and dance. And I'm so blessed to have witnessed the kind of performance she gave that night. As a concertgoer, I am totally amazed at how she hypes the audience and makes us cry with her songs. As in mararamdaman mo talaga na she loves what her doing. Pag narinig mo na siyang kumanta. I swear! May laman, puso at may balunbalunan. Total package :)
