It is now two days after Fred and I officially started dating and it was breakfast Monday morning and post got delivered, what was strange it that I received a letter from my parents I stared at the letter.

"Love are you okay?" Fred asked me.

"Erm, we will see, this is a letter from my parents" I show them all. "This is not good."

I rip open the letter.

Y/n Avery,

We recently heard that you and Fred Weasley have started dating and one word for it is no, we have told you countless times that being friends was okay but this is a big no, you will come home for Christmas and your birthday ball we will then set you up with a suitable partner of our choice.

We just want what best for you and the family name, you will see in the future that we made the right decision for you and you won't regret it.

My face dropped from the letter are they threatening me? I could feel my eyes welling up and I stood up without hesitation and ran out of the hall into the court yard sobbing.

I sat down with my head in my arms, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me but it wasn't Fred it was Melody.

"Hey is okay, let it all out" she said as she rubbed my back.

I cried even harder and hugged her back I was still clutching that stupid letter, once a calmed down a bit Melody started talking, "do you want to talk about it y/n?"

I nodded my head, "read this" I hand her the letter she reads it gasping then bringing me into another hug.

"They threatened to disown you if you don't split up with Fred." She asked.

I nodded my head I was still crying, "they don't understand all they care about is blood supremacy!" I shout standing up pacing, it was a habit I done often when I was stressed.

"They couldn't care if I was the unhappiest person in the world as long as I married a pure blood with all the pure blood values and money they would be happy and not take into consideration my feelings and what makes me happy!" I continue pacing around the court yard there was still 20 minutes till first period started.

"They honestly don't even care that Fred makes me happy! His family have treated me more like family in one summer than my parents have in my whole life! And yes I know it's early days in our relationship but he has been my best friend since we started here and I love him more than I would ever love any pureblood suprematist, if I could even love them!" I shout and I turn back to Melody and see all of my friends.

Fred walks over to me and hugs me, "how much of that did you hear?" I asked him.

"When you started talking about how happy I make you" he said.

"So you heard the last bit?" I asked.

"The bit when you said you love me, oh yeah I heard that." I look up at him and he starts smirking at me.

"Shut up." I said burying my head into his chest I started crying again.

"Hey darling it's okay, it will all be okay" he tries to reassure me.

"Are you sure?" I ask him

"Yes and I know that because I love you too." I look up and smile at him.

He wipes my tears away, "you know Freddie, you are such a softy sometimes." I start giggling.

"She smiles!" He laughs.

I pull him into another hug breathing in the familiar scents.

"We should get to defence against the dark arts." I say to him and take his hand as we will to lesson.

The day goes quite fast and we have quidditch practice in the evening which goes well, we have our first game against Hufflepuff soon which is the first game of the season and we were all excited except that the dementors don't give Hogwarts that homey feel to it anymore.

I'm in the Gryffindor common room with all of my friends their all talking and I'm leaning on Fred reading my book in my own little world.

"Everyone excited for the first Hogsmead trip this weekend?" Jack asked

Everyone but me replied "yeah"

"What about you y/n?" Angelina asked.

"I suppose so yeah." I give them all a small smile.

"Are you okay now?" George asked

"I'm fine just having idiot parents who care more about themselves and their social lives is just a tad hard when they want you to follow in their footsteps when you disagree with every single thing the value." I say.

"Are they like it with your siblings?" Melody ask, to be honest I sometimes like been asked questions as I can get it out.

"Nope, both my siblings agree with them on everything, both were sorted into Slytherin and don't associate with people that my parents like to call 'blood traitors'. And to make things better I'm the middle child." I reply to Melody's  question.

"Wow" Alicia said.

We move onto brighter topics and as time moves on I get more tired. "Right I'm off to bed I'm so exhausted." I say to the group.

"Goodnight to you all," I pull Fred into a hug and give him a quick peck on the lips, "goodnight Freddie."

"Goodnight love, if you need me come and get me yeah?"

"I will" I said as I walked up the stairs with my book and hear all the others say goodnight and carry on talking.

I get changed into my pyjamas from my chill clothes and get into bed, pull the duvet over me, close my eyes then fell into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up in the morning half an hour before my alarm was due to go off so I got out of bed and got myself ready for the day and took my equipment I needed for Ancient Runes with me. As I was about to walk out the portrait hole I heard a voice behind me.

"Y/n wait!" It was Alicia.

I waited for her and we walked to the great hall together, "you seemed like you got to sleep quite well last night how do you feel today?"

"I feel a lot happier thank you Alicia, how are you feeling today?" I ask her.

"You know me I'm always happy." She said with a smile on her face, and it was true she was pretty much always happy which was nice to see.

We sat down and continued our conversation.

"You looking forward to the game on Friday?" I ask her.

"Yes I think we've got it in the bag." She says.

"I hope so."

We ate breakfast and was talking whilst our friends were coming down for breakfast I see Fred and smile, "good morning, my love." He says smiling at me.

"Good morning Freddie, sleep well? Actually I don't even need to ask you I know you always sleep well." I tell him.

"You know me so well" he said pulling me into a side hug.

Across the table I see Melody and Jack flirting together they were quite cute together and I could see their relationship together lasting a long time, they also seemed very happy together which was nice.

We all finished eating and walked to Ancient Runes which we had with Ravenclaw and then double study hall which I could finish another potions essay in.

The day passes and I handed in essays and got given more Snape even said with this work I could definitely could get an O in my potions OWL which was great news.
