Sara pov:

I went to my mom's room to get ready for my dinner.

My mom was quiet the whole time. But when I decided to choose a dress to wear she said "Sara why don't you try this ??" She asked showing me a cute dress.

"Mom it's so pretty ." I said taking the dress in my hand and asked " why "

"You are in New York with Kartik so for a change wear it, make more memories which last forever ." She said smiling but I couldn't accept it. I know there is something fishy.

"Okay I will wear it." I said blushing.

Milan came to our room to make my hair and I did my basic makeup so that I do justice to the dress.

Once I am done I stood up "just perfect." My mom said .

"Thank you for the dress "I said Hugging her.

"I really did a amazing work ." Milan said that I am looking good but in a funny way.

"Yes Milan what would I do without you ." I said dramatically keeping a hand in my chest.

"Haha Sara , I would love to chat with you but your boyfriend is waiting outside and I am pretty sure he is gonna kill me ." Milan said.

"Oh yes." I said opening the room to see my handsomely hero standing opposite to my mom room wall .

He was wearing his black leather jacket.

I was just stunned to see him so I just stopped and was seeing him only after few seconds I came to know even Kartik was staring at me too.

"Kartik." I said snapping my fingers so that we could leave.

"Yes princess." He said .

"Are we going to the hotel or not ?? " I asked him.

"Sorry sorry yes we are going." He said taking my hand in his.

But I decided to hold his arm tightly.

We took a cab and I came to know it's a rooftop restaurant.

"I am impressed Kartik." I said once I saw the restaurant.

"Told you I did my home work." He replied.

"Really Kartik, thanks for this it's so magical ." I stopping in my tracks and turned to him so he could understand how much I really feel.

"You are magical princess, now let's order something and shall we discuss." I said to her .

"Sir have you reserved ??" The manager asked .

"Yes, Kartik Tiwari ." I said using my passport name to avoid any problem.

"This way sir ." The manager took us to our stop.

"Let me guess you have already ordered for us !!!" I asked him when the manager left without asking or calling a waiter to take our menu.

"How do you know ??" He asked me.

"Kartik we have together for year now , how could I be without knowing this." I said blushing.

As Kartik said both veg and non veg starters started to come and the waiter know exactly to serve him veg and for me non veg. He was also careful by telling vegetarian when placing the plate or serving go Kartik.

We didn't have much conversation while having starters as the waiter was around and I was busy tasting and enjoying the food.

"We will take few minutes before you bring the main course but be sure you don't make it late." Kartik said.

"What happened ??" I asked him.

"Sara how could I compete when you have your food." He pouted like a small child.

"Kartik please don't make laugh , you are dressed in leather jacket which gives a bad boy look but you are pouting and crying like a small child that I am giving my full attention to food." I said laughing.

"Yes a devil and a cute angel ." He said.

"Come again Kartik I didn't hear properly." I asked him .

" as you said my jacket is giving me bad boy looks I said devil and as you are wearing white it is giving you an angel look." He said blushing me more.

"But you are a good and the most handsome devil in the world ." I said.

"Don't lie Sara , then what about Ryan gosling ." Kartik asked.

"He is hand some angel ." I joked to make him jealous.

"Why did I alone became devil ." He said feeling jealous.

"I didn't call you devil baby, you were the one who said you are an devil." I spoke.

"Sara" He was about to say something but I decided to shut him by getting up so that I could hug him.

After speaking for 10 minutes Kartik asked "Shall I tell the main course."

"Yes." I said and he called the waiter.

"Don't worry, I have saved the best for dessert." Kartik said winking when the main course was served.

"I don't know Kartik how you manage to do it, but every time you select the best food from the menu. Even non vegetarian." I said still maintaining the eye contact with the food as it was so delicious.

"Anything for my princess." He said laughing.

After main course is over I decided to call Kartik to my side.

"Kartik come here don't be so far from me." I said pointing to my side.

Kartik got up from his chair and joined in the sofa with me.

"This is not fair Sara, now the food is over your attention is on me." He was complaining.

"Shhh stop complaining." I said keeping a finger on his mouth.

"Okay princess." He replied.

I just laid my head on his shoulders.

"What happened??" He asked me.

"Just taking in the moment, you know processing all. " I said getting up from his shoulder and looked at his eyes.

I cupped his face and said " no one has ever done like this to me nor cared for me in every possible way. Throughout the years I have know you I will always think you would do something wrong and I may hate you but you always give me more reason to love you Kartik."

"Sara not the time to get emotional baby, dessert is on the way." He said looking at me with confusion of what to reply.

The waiter came with a big plate and placed it before us.

The plate read "WILL YOU MARRY ME." With their top dessert.

And there was a cupcake with yes or no to reply.

I decided to close him eyes and think to add some dramatic touch. After all you only get proposed once in New York.

After taking my time I took the cupcake with yes and started to eat.

Kartik as soon as she saw me picking up the cup cake and eating kissed my cheeks and hugged me tightly.

After making sure I ate all the desserts without giving him anything I saw Kartik searching his pocket and taking a box.

My mind obviously went to a engagement ring but Kartik surprised me with a cute diamond bracelet.

"It's stunning." I said looking at me.

"It will be more awesome when it's in your hand ." He said placing it in my hand.

" I need you to take you somewhere." I said without controlling my happiness.

"Sure let's leave." Kartik said getting up.

We paid the bill , I mean Kartik paid the bill and we left.
