"So all you have to do is convince Junior (aka Christopher), I've already got both Nate and Sydney covered."

Adriana flashes me a bright smile as she directs her footsteps further into the kitchen. She sits down on the bar stool before pulling out her phone from her nude colored Rebecca Minkoff handbag. I walk into the kitchen as I direct my steps towards the refrigerator where I take out a water bottle.

"Thank you for giving me the hardest one to convince."

As sarcasm drips out of every word that leaves my lips I open the water bottle before placing it on my lips and drinking the water.

"It's your boyfriend, next time don't steel a junkies boyfriend when they are trying to get clean, and kiss their ex boyfriend that is actually their boyfriend since they never broke up in front of them."

She flashes me an artificial smile before she averts her gaze back to the screen on her phone.

"Thanks for the pep-talk Dree."

She rolls her eyes continuing typing on her phone.

"What are you even doing?"

I ask cursorily as I adjust my uniform, she stops typing before she meets my gaze with a bright smile spread across her face.

"I'm writing the invention, I want everybody at Prescott High to know what kind of crackhead she is."

She continues to type for some second before she places her phone on the counter and leans in.

"So how are we going to play this out?"

She asks dragging her hand through her curls in the process.

"Well I guess we could go with the classic and spike her drink, make her relapse and send her back to France."

A smug grin forms on my lips that soon after appears on Adriana's lips.

"Au revoir Scarlett."

The sound of footsteps interrupter Adriana as Christopher becomes visible he flashing Adriana a bright smile in the process as he slowly walks over to me.

"Adri."

He nods his head towards her and she replays his greeting with a smile.

"Well I think it's time for me to go."

She stands up from the chair before placing her bag on her forearm and putting her phone in her jacket pocket.

"Ouch Adri, are you really that eager to get away from me?"

The playfulness in his voice lingers around the words as they leaves his mouth. Adriana walks towards him before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"No hard feelings Junior."

He slowly wraps one hand around her body's laughter leaves his mouth before he loosens the grip of the hug.

"See you later Jas."

Christopher and Adriana had what most people would call a brother-sister relationship where they would bicker and fight but somehow never hold a real grudge between each other. The sound of her heels disappeared into thin air as she walked out of the penthouse to the elevator leaving me and Chris alone. He took two steps closer towards me closing the space between us as I placed my hands on his chest dragging them upwards to the back of his neck.

"Hey."

The word leaves my mouth as a whisper as I pull his head closer to me placing my lips on his. His hands quickly lands on my hips as he pulls me closer deepening the kiss in the process. His lips are soft against mine as he massages every inch of them. He pushes me against the counter as my fingers quickly finds the way to his hair before dragging them through his hair strands making him moan in the process.

His hands continues traveling down my body landing on my thighs were they stopped before he grips my thighs as he lifts me up making me  wrap my legs around his waist preventing me to fall on the floor. He places me on top of the counter as he steps in between my legs making me wrap my hand around his neck pulling him closer towards me.

"I have to tell you something."

When his lips leaves mine I am able to speak again which also gives me time to breath. He starts to place kisses down my neck distracting me from what I wanted to say.

"Christopher."

I moan his name as he continues placing kisses down my neck. He starts unbuttoning my dress-shirt as he places his lips on my silencing me in the process. I cup his head between my hands before I removing his lips from mine and separating our faces earning a surprised expression from him in the process.

"We're throwing Scarlett a surprise party for her birthday."

His facial expression slowly changes as he clench his jaw and removes his hands from my waist to each side of my body on the counter.

"I thought she said she didn't want a party."

He says as he looks in to my eyes, I could sense his anger as he squints his eyes at me.

"Yeah I know but, she is just nervous to be back and Sidney ignoring her didn't really help, but now that they are talking again just feels like the right thing to do and besides i'ts her 17 th birthday after all."

His gaze wander over my face with a skeptical expression plastered on it before leaning in and placing a soft kiss on my lips that I quickly replay.

"No games and no tricks, promise?"

He looks me deep into the eyes as if he already knows what I'm planning.

"Why would I be planning any games or tricks? You should be happy that I'm planning a birthday party for your self-absorbed ex girlfriend that's always the victim in every situation."

I could feel the anger boiling in my veins as I removed my hands from his face. I didn't even know why I was angry since what he suspected was true, but the thought of him thinking the worst of me made me disappointed and angry.

"That's the point, why would you do that for her?"

His voice comes out sweet and soft unlike before as he moves a bit closer as if he is trying to apologize with his gestures.

"Have it ever occurred to you that I could be a really great girlfriend and take care of your ex girlfriend since she is so busy being sad and feeling sorry for herself as usual, just to make you happy."

A half smile forms on his lips as he moves his hand upwards to touch my cheek but as soon as his fingertips lands on my face I turn my head to the other side making my hair cover the half of my face.

"Don't touch me, you always think that I'm the bad guy, you always did. You think that I have some malicious plan to destroy her which I don't , I have you okay, you choose me. And I really hope you didn't just do it because she left, because you couldn't have her."

My voice fades into silence as the last word leaves my mouth making me blink back the tears that where trying to fall out. I couldn't even look at him I just felt awful turning this into something it wasn't, as if he was the problem which he wasn't.

"Hey look at me."

He pulls my chin upwards towards him as my gaze meets his, his eyes were reflecting nothing but guilt as his gaze wandered over my face.

"I love you okay, and I'm sorry for even suggesting that. Of course I don't think that about you, and thank you for trying to help her okay? I'm sorry, please forgive me."

I lean in and kiss him as soon as the last word leaves his mouth making him stunned and taken aback but he quickly responds by kissing me back as he places my hair stands behind my ear. He kisses me passionately dragging his hands down the side of my body before he places his hands on my lap ending the kiss in the process.

"When did yo say the party was?"

His voice sounded as if he was going to agree on the party making the excitement travel through my veins.

"On Friday after school, at her place."

He flashes me a half smile before placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay."

He nods before dragging his hand down my arm in a comforting motion.

"Okay?"

"Okay."
