good level to stay, contains a large warehouse. you can find other wanderers here, but with a cost of probably encountering entities. (entities are a large variety of beings or beasts, with inhumane abilities or sources, which can usually be hostile or work in some sort of anomalous way)

supplies are randomly generating in this level, and you can find them frequently. use this to your advantage and attempt to find m.e.g's base alpha and you can get more help.

if you encounter an entity, the best thing to do is stay as quiet and away from it as possible. hell, if you happen to be right in it's grasp, run. it's the best thing you can do in that situation.

one of the best things about level 1, is that it also has an entrance to the hub, an enigmatic level that also contains entry points to other casual levels in the backrooms.

i̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶h̶a̶p̶p̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶p̶o̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶a̶d̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶d̶s̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶e̶i̶l̶i̶n̶g̶,̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶"̶h̶a̶p̶p̶y̶ ̶p̶a̶i̶n̶t̶i̶n̶g̶"̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶t̶,̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶f̶*̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶n̶o̶c̶l̶i̶p̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶i̶t̶,̶ ̶i̶t̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶e̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶i̶d̶e̶a̶. If you do happen to see a painting and a ladder, please DO climb up the ladder and noclip into it! It is the safest level after all... =)

overall, i dont recommend going to the "friendly" level or level 19, but you should visit level 2 or go through the hub.
