Third Person POV

Congrats.
xoxo, V.

Jisoo read those lines over and over again. Is this really from the person who she loathes the most. Why now?

"Ooooo these are pretty." Dara commented which only caused Jisoo to flinch in response, bringing her out of her thoughts.

"I'm allergic to purple flowers, you can throw it away." Jisoo walked away, marching her way towards the door.

"How can he have the audacity to send me flowers, IF that was really from him. We've been doing fine ignoring one another for five years, why fucking now? When I've reached everything I wanted, why show up now?!" Jisoo thought still shaken at the fact that those flowers could possibly be from him.

It wasn't the thought of V knowing her whereabouts that bothered her, she was pretty confident in her popularity that she knew, he knew very well how she was doing. It was the fact that this man might be trying to enter her life again. He was someone she definitely was not inviting into her life again.

She was over him, it's been five fcking years. But moving on doesn't mean you forget about their actions, it lingers within you. It teaches you to never make the same mistakes again, which was to never trust someone again.

"Hey where ar—" Dara was unable to finish her sentence nor was Jisoo able to leave the room.

As Jisoo approached the door, it opened itself and there stood Madam Becca Smith.

Immediately Jisoo and Dara straightened themselves out and stood firm and had their hands in front politely, it was their Korean etiquette they've formed as children whenever meeting someone above their status.

"Oh dear were you just about to head out? Good thing I caught you before then!" She spoke in elegance.

"Yes I was, did you need anything Madam? You didn't have to personally come here, I could've gone to you instead." Jisoo spoke carefully, she felt like she was on eggshells. She was practically her boss, well atleast one of them.

"Oh Jisoo, the kindest ballerina I have ever met. You don't have to be so stiff around me, loosen up dear! You always look like you age at least ten years every time I'm around."

"I'm quite offended I have that effect on you" Becca jokes.

Jisoo's eyes widened upon hearing the word 'offended', she immediately bowed down, apologetic.

"Oh goodness, I WAS JUST KIDDING! When will you ever get comfortable around me?!" Becca is genuinely upset at doing a terrible job at making Jisoo warm up towards her. She was always quite fond of the girl.

All Jisoo could do was awkwardly laugh, how could she possibly be comfortable around her boss.

"Well all those jokes aside, I came here because I have a request for you." Becca finally shares her reasoning of her presence.

"Oh anything of course!" Jisoo immediately responded.

"Well are you free tomorrow evening?" Becca asks.

"Even if she's not, I will clear her schedule." Dara chimed in. It was rare for the directors to personally ask for favours therefore no matter what, Dara will make it a mission for Jisoo to fulfill it.

Jisoo nodded in agreement, whatever she had the next day didn't matter to her, only the request of the director did.

"Oh perfect! Well then here you go..." Becca handed Dara a pair of papers. Jisoo's eyes followed it trying to recognize what they were.

"My driver will be picking you up at 6 pm sharp! My granddaughter would be ecstatic to hear she'll finally meet BTS!" Becca beamed in excitement.

"S-sorry what did you just say?" Jisoo stuttered, trying to comprehend whether she heard Becca right. Did she just say BTS?

"Oh haven't you heard of them? BTS! They're a Korean boy band, I'm sure you've heard of them!"

Jisoo's mouth fell agape. Yes, she definitely knew them, especially the lead singer.

"Uhm I'm not understanding, don't get me wrong, I am absolutely honoured to be invited by you Madam, but... I-I just don't understand why me?" Jisoo carefully chose her words, afraid to offend her boss.

"Well you see my granddaughter is an absolute fan of the group and I happen to be one of their sponsors at their concert tomorrow at Madison Square Garden. She wants to meet them and I immediately thought of you! I would love to get closer with you, and you can also be the translator for my granddaughter!" Becca shares, you can tell by the tone of her voice that she was beyond excited to share the good news to her kin.

"Crap." Jisoo thought.

How the hell am I going to say no now?! I shouldn't have said I was willing to push aside all my schedule tomorrow evening so rashly, now I have no excuse!

Dara nudged Jisoo harshly, completely weirded out by her actions. Jisoo didn't react as she was too busy trying to formulate an escape plan.

"We'll be glad to escort you. See you then!" Dara replied instead.

This earned Dara a glaring look from her ballerina.

☆☆☆

"Here goes nothing." Jisoo muttered under her breath.

"Sorry dear what was that?" Madam Becca asked, who was sitting right of Jisoo.

"Oh nothing!" Jisoo forcibly let out a small smile.

Jisoo and her company along with limited people had the best spot in the concert. It was in the center above, with a glass screen separating them. It was a private room specifically for VIP.

Fortunately Jisoo felt at ease, it would be impossible for him to spot her from this location... right?

"As much as we hate to say goodbye, this will be our last song tonight." V spoke calmly through his mic, the crowd let out their sad protests bitter to say farewell.

"But as a gift, I will be performing Scenery" V continued which turned the sad aw's into loud screams.

This was a surprise single BTS had released last January, January 3rd to be exact. They have never performed it live and Jisoo also has never heard of the song itself. Not like she listens to their songs anyways, just those occasional tracks that would play on the radio, but she would quickly change stations afterwards.

"This song is special to me... I wrote it during one of my lowest points. I was lost, and felt empty despite the fame that the band was finally receiving. I wrote this imagining of what could have been-" V stopped speaking further, his throat started to swell in emotions.

Jin noticed V's stiffness and took the initiative and began to play the piano chords, note after note.

I still wonder wonder beautiful story
Still wonder wonder best part
I still wander wander next story
I want to make you mine

That's the time of the moment
I missed my lost mind
I regret it.

Jisoo closes her eyes, listening to every word sung, and the harmony of his deep honey voice with the piano chord. The song felt too intimate to her, like it was speaking to her.

"Him and Jennie must've broken up briefly" She thought, "this must be about her." After all, in the eyes of the public including hers, they were a power couple.

"You good fam?" Yoongi holds V by the shoulders, a manly way of comforting the other.

The boys are now relaxing in their room backstage, completely exhausted from that three hour show they just finished, in addition to their lack of rest.

"You seem really out of it since yesterday." Jin added.

"Did you reach out to her?" Jungkook asked randomly, making the other two boys eye them weirdly.

V knew exactly who Jungkook was pertaining to.

"Not exactly... I mean I had sent her flowers... you know just to congratulate her." He shared.

"Wait, are we talking about Kim Jisoo?!" Jin asked comedically with his eyes bulging out of his face.

"Oh hold up, she's here in New York right? Is that why you all of a sudden sang Scenery even though it's not part of our line up?!" Jin continues to throw questions.

"Yo man that's messed up..." he ended.

This only earned him a punch in the gut by Jungkook.

"Yah, I'm older than you!" Jin fought back but was quickly hushed by Yoongi.

"You deserve to be happy V... I really hope you talk to her, and really tell her what happened. Don't you think it's time?" Jungkook patted V by the shoulders.

"Can I really reach out to her? After what I did?" V whispers under his breath.
