Kaydon

Fuck my life.

Fuck school.

Fuck football.

Fuck Sierra Laurken.

"At least I'm not alone all the fucking time having no life!"

It was like a punch to the gut. The worst pain you could feel is surging up to your head. My hands were clenched while driving and my knuckles were turning white.

Fuck you, Sierra.

Go on the date with him, see how terrible he treats you like he does to other girls.

I shouldn't be pissed, I know. I shouldn't even be acting this way. It's just because of how bad Zach Thompson really is. He uses girls, he acts like he'll do this fantastic job of loving you, but then he snaps. Fucks you and then throws you away like you're a burden.

Harsh, I know I'm sorry.

"Are you this stressed out about it?" Blake sat down on the couch and I hear Ty shutting the front door of my house. I turn off the TV and smushed my face into the pillow.

I feel Ty's pat on my back. "It's alright, man."

It's not. My best friend is going out with my rival.

Ex-best friend.

Right, just friends.

I throw the pillow on the ground and groan. Why is this such a frustrating thing? She's my friend she can do whatever she wants.

"Do you still have feelings for her or something?" Blake asks quietly. I freeze in place. I never really thought about it like that. That argument yesterday was stupid. The way her eyes were staring into mine just ruined my thoughts completely.

No, I can't. I've been so distant and so cold there's no way that me, her most hated person, have feelings for her.

I shake my head, "I don't. I just don't want Thompson to hurt her."

Blake nods and Ty just stares at me in disbelief. He nudges me.

"Then what are you going to do?"

I never really thought what I was going to do to keep her safe. My only thought was to let her go and let her have fun. But Ty is right, what am I going to do?

Well, this is going to be the most chaotic weekend I'll ever have. I turn to see Blake dancing around while trying to make Ty spit water out.

I throw a water bottle at his head and he looks at me with a pout.

"Hey, Blake. Could you do me a favor?"

Sierra

Hair straightened, make-up done, outfit ironed, and feelings?

Scared as shit.

I shouldn't be this scared. It's just a little hang at Melly's. Zach will be here any moment now and I'm freaking out. I was nearly about to pull my hair out and ruin my outfit.

With the beautiful weather Florida has been giving us, I decided on a silky, pale light blue dress. It was landed on the middle of my thighs and it hugs my curves like other dresses I've worn. I paired it with my white blouse jacket and my black and white Dr. Martens.

I sprayed a tiny bit of perfume and then I hear the honk of his car. I grabbed my purse and phone, said goodbye to my sister who was busy watching TV, and darted out the door with a smile on my face.

**

"You look nice," he looks me up and down with a cheeky smile. Heat rushes to my cheeks and I close the passenger door to hide it.

Jesus, blushing already?

I shrug, "Thanks. You're not bad yourself."

We had small talk on the drive to Melly's and it mostly consisted on our music taste, favorite ice cream flavors, and what we want to pursue in the future. Mostly he did.

Sometimes a wave of awkward silence washed over but we picked up on a different subject.

Never expected Zach to be kind of..

Predictable?

Don't get me wrong he's really cool, charming, and just so shining. It's just..

I always had a feeling he would talk about himself. I guess it's a first for everyone.

"You alright Si?" I jump at the sound of 'Si' coming out of his voice. Fuck, what do I say?

Si has always been Kaydon. If anyone else said it to me, I would shut them down. It was only Kaydon who said it, it was only Kaydon who said it the way I liked it, no one else.

God, that argument yesterday was shit. I tried texting him again but this time he closed his blinds and didn't bother opening them in the morning too.

Now why am I thinking about Kaydon?

Because he's better!

Ignoring the comment he said, I nod. "Sorry, just thinking about how you like vanilla over mint chocolate chip," I tease with a small grin. I open the door and wait for him by my side.

He opens the diner door for me and a fresh breeze reaches us and I get a small shiver down my spine as he leads me to a table with a hand on my back. I spot Melly giving me an odd look definitely trying to scan Zach.

"Oh, please. Vanilla is always the best!" he rolls his eyes and looks around the diner. He told me that he hadn't been to Melly's for the longest time but he enjoys it.

I snicker and Melly came by with a note pad and a too big of a smile. Goddamn it.

"Hey, guys! Sierra would you like your usual?" she jotted it down before I could say a response so I just nodded. She glares at Zach.

He shrugs, "The double cheese and a basket of fries." He shoves her the menu on the table and she stepped back with pure intention of throwing it back at him.

"Of course, give me a moment." she replied through gritted teeth.

I turn to look at Zach with wide eyes. "What the hell Zach!" He scoffs and turns to look out the window.

"You don't shove a menu at Melly!" I shake my head and started playing with the straw wrapper at my table.

A hand touches mine and I look at it. His hands were cold and his blue eyes were pooling into mine. Blonde shaggy hair flopped on his head as I take in his features.

"I'm sorry, Si."

Fucking damn it.

I slide out the booth giving him an assuring smile. "I'll be in the bathroom." He nods and goes on his phone.

I walk past tables with families, couples, and even a group of friends with their hoods up and one of them wearing a hot pink wig.

Wait a damn minute.

I stop in my tracks and walked back around the table. They were only a couple feet away from mine and when I knew Zach wasn't in my view, I tried to see who was in that familiar wig.

A person knocked into me when they walked out of the bathroom and nearly shoved me.

"Sierra! I'm so sorry, my bad!" the familiar voice sheepishly walks back to the table and he freezes.

Where have I heard that voice..

"Blake!"

Blake!

Are they seriously spying on me?

I walk straight to the table and all of their hoods go down. When my hands slam against the table they all shot their eyes to mine. All 10 of their eyes had fear in them and Blake slides in his chair with a terrified expression.

"Are you spying on me and Zach?" I hiss.

Parker shakes her head with the wig on and shrunk in her seat. "Blake look what you did!"

Blake gasps offendedly, "What did I do? This wasn't my plan!"

"It so was!"

He stands up, "No it wasn't! It was Kaydon!"

The table hushed him and the one with the black hood on shakes his head and hides his face. I storm right to where he was sitting, next to Ty who gladly scooted away for me to have space and I threw Kaydon's hood down.

Those fucking brown eyes..

"Surprise?"
