Little snippets to introduce you to the story so far while I'm working on being ready to post it. <3

"¡Oye, disculpe!" (Hey, excuse me!)
Juana yelped as someone rushed past her, shoving her into a wall by accident. "I fucking hate this party, this sucks!" She shouted while pushing through the crowd, attempting to find her friends. After sifting through the sea of drunk teenagers, she got her hands on one of them. She grabbed his arm and started pulling him with her. "¡Me quiero ir, Ramón!" (I want to go, ramon.)

"I know you want to leave, but no one else is ready!" Ramon pulled away from her grasp. "What's wrong with you? You love parties. You suggested we come here in the first place."

"Actually, asshole. I asked Tilín to hang with me tonight and you and Bobby insisted on coming along." Juana crossed her arms and shot Ramon a harsh glare. "Where is Tilín anyway? I really wanted to see them tonight."

Juana strolled into the pawn shop with confidence, the little bell alerting that she had entered. She approached the front desk, where a man was sitting and reading.

"Hello, welcome to Blade's antique and pawn shop...what can I help you with?" The man asked without looking up.

Juana pulled a gold bracelet out of her pocket and threw it onto the desk. "I'm looking to sell this bracelet, it was my grandmother's." Of course that was a lie. She had slipped it off the wrist of an old woman, while helping her put groceries in her car.

Mr. Blade pulled out his wallet and slipped out a business card. "Only about an hour away, little shop in L'manburg. Beautiful town. Used to be its own country back in the day, now it's a tourist attraction, mostly."

Juana looked at the card and read the bold letters out loud. "Wilbur's Taxidermy?"

"Oh yeah, it's a nice little shop... Wilbur's a little special or...well let's call it how it is, the man is god damn insane. Nice man at heart though, and he will pay well. All you have to do it dust some stuffed rats."

"Tallulah, this is Juana, our new cleaner. Juana, this is my daughter, Tallulah. I hope you two get along." Wilbur introduced them.

"This is our new cleaner?" Tallulah asked curiously.

"I know, it is distasteful to get a Hispanic girl to be your cleaner." Juana said jokingly.

"I'm Hispanic too!" Tallulah brightened up. "I'm adopted."

"Oh, cool...I was sort of adopted." Juana shrugged.

"I was abandoned outside an orphanage and I wandered off. That's when my new dad found me." Tallulah looked up at Wilbur.

"Yes, that's right...but Tallulah, remember what we said about over sharing. You only tell personal stuff to people you really trust." Wilbur reminded her.
