After dinner Jill told Genesis that she could sleep over if she wanted to. At first I was going to say no, but I shouldn't let my personal problems make my kid miserable.
Jill gave me a ride back home around 9pm.
"Thanks for the ride." I say while hugging her.
"No problem. Call me if you need anything!" I nodded and ran up the stairs and unlocked the door.
I slowly walk in. The lights are all on. I look around for Jack. I find him in our room watching t.v. and eating take out.
"Where were you?" He asked while I changed into some sweats and a tank top.
"I went to Jill's for dinner since you decided to ditch me and Genesis earlier."
"Look I only left because I didn't want to start an argument in front of Genesis. She doesn't need to witness anything negative."
"I agree." I try to stay calm. I was still pissed at him though.
"Where's Gen?" He asks.
"Sleeping over Jill's." I crawl in bed.
"Oh okay." He says awkwardly.
"Yeah." I say back.
"So..."
"Look Jack I'm not really in the mood to talk to you. I'm trying to stay calm because I really want to punch your face in." I say slightly raising my voice.
"I understand...but me and Tiana slept together like two months ago. And the doctor only said she was 2 weeks pregnant."
"That doesn't mean anything!" I snap.
"Well I thought you should know." He snapped back.
"And what if it is yours?" I try to sound nicer.
"Then I'll pay child support." he said simply. "Look, as harsh as it sounds. You and Genesis and our unborn child are my main priorities right now. Tiana can wait." He said harshly.
"That's kind of insensitive don't you think?"
"How is it insensitive? Guys pay child support all the time." He rolled his eyes.
"But you basically just said that Tiana and her child can wait. Look, I know I hate her guts but if the baby's yours, you're gonna get to know your child and spend time with it and support it fully." I raise my voice.
"Why are you defending her all of a sudden?"
"Because I know what it's like to be abandoned while your pregnant."
