After living in California with her mother for five years, Mia Weston returns to her East Coast hometown by the sea. She meets old friends at school but there is a new family in town, the Argos, who moved into the old Lockforte estate by the dunes and seem to be really odd. On one night Mia is oddly drawn towards the sea while a storm rages. Nearly drowning she finds herself rescued by none other than Adrian Argos, who seems to hide a dark secret. Mia promises him to keep his secret for him but the night does not pass without traces. Suddenly, Mia starts to be able to control the weather... amongst other things. Afraid Adrian might take the gift back from her, she keeps it to herself and starts to observe the Argos family. But being a normal teenage girl, she can't hide her new powers for very long...…
