I loved he character of Tessalynda so much I wanted to delve a bit into her backstory, and maybe some Easter eggs of other characters from ASOIAF. I also wanted to add in some things happening within the time jumps in From the Ashes, and perspectives we didn't get to witness. This piece may not be completely linear and you will have to read From the Ashes first for it to make sense, but if you liked the first story I think you'll enjoy this one too.
