He holds her gaze, searching her forest green eyes for something she is unsure she can provide. She watches him, waiting for him to speak, and when he eventually does, he sounds utterly defeated and conflicted. "I wish I didn't, but I do because If I don't; we are both dead and I can't let that happen." he whispers whilst running his thumb along her collarbone. No, I don't want to romanticise toxic men or relationships of that sort. But when I watched the movie Red Eye, I got the impression that Jackson didn't enjoy his job and in some way he had grown to like Lisa to some degree over the time he studied her over those eight months - Wes Craven also somewhat confirmed both these things in an interview. So, I have created a new female lead and took my own spin on the original plot, some differences in it and a possible insight into a different side of Jackson's character.
