Heroes of Olympus, Hunger Games, and Divergent Crossover After the Purity War that destroyed most of the United States of America, five factions were set up: Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor, to create the newfound country of Panem. Within these factions were three groups of people: mortal, demigod, and divergent. Demigods are feared and sought to be controlled or broken by the Erudite using discrimination, force, and cruelty.
