History of the Comeng V-Set
This story is a tribute to my favourite Aussie-built passenger train, known as the NSW V-Set.Newly retired from service on the 30th of January, 2026, the New South Wales V-Set is a fleet of double-deck, fully air-conditioned, interurban/intercity passenger trains & was built by Australian rail transit manufacturer, Commonwealth Engineering (otherwise known as Comeng) in the Sydney suburb of Granville, NSW in the 1970's.This article will serve as both a memento & a complete guide to the V-Set & its history on Sydney's extensive interurban/intercity rail system & will also include photos & videos.----------------------------------------------------{AUTHOR'S NOTE}----------------------------------------------------(All the information that is in this article was taken from public forum sites, such as Wikipedia, so anyone who has any additional information about the V-Set that is not available on public forum sites is welcome to place it into a comment in one of the article's chapters, or reach out to me in Discord & provide the information there)…
