For those of us who know a thing or two about Pokémon, there is a distinct difference between the generation 1 protagonist, Red, and his anime counterpart, Ash. That being that Red is actually a competent trainer who consistently wins Pokémon battles, and that Ash is an immortal ten-year-old who doesn't know the first thing about battling. So I figured that it might be fun to replace Ash with Red, and give him the opportunity to travel the world competing in Pokémon leagues.
