An insight into how I wrote my novel - an amazing experience that stretched my skills in writing and research. I realized that historians don't know everything and that the internet can be beneficial, but cannot satisfy all research challenges. With patience one's writing can become a fine art but be prepared to take scathing criticism. Also in writing this novel I learned that ghosts are real, if you give them the opportunity to show themselves. Perhaps it helps to believe in magic.โฆ

Knowing that people passed a certain corner for hundreds of years, a meditation upon that place brings characters into focus as they passed by a hundred and fifty years ago. They think their lives will be forgotten, but I know better.โฆ
