Since she was a hatchling, Sapphire had struggled to tap into her basic dragon instincts. She wasn't slow, nor did she lack enthusiasm. For whatever reason, she could not claim the same innate talent most noble Wyrms were born with. Fire breathing anything more than a candle flame had become a seemingly unapproachable goal. Her flying was what one might say a penguin would look like if the chubby bird could fly. It was as if she lacked the instincts a Wyrm was supposedly born with.Surrounding herself with books and scholars, Sapphire trained the one muscle she could use without overextending herself - her mind.
