Après sa nomination en tant que Kazekage, Gaara prend peu à peu ses fonctions et s'habitue à sa nouvelle vie tranquille. De son côté, Yume reprend ses missions à plein temps, forte de son entraînement avec les membres de son clan.Mais très vite, une menace plane sur les Cinq Grands Pays : l'Akatsuki, une organisation dont le but serait de capturer les démons à queues, faisant du jeune Kazekage l'une de leurs cibles. Ce qui ne semble pas arranger les affaires d'Akumu Amai qui a conclut une alliance avec le démon des sables, Shukaku. De plus, Mamoru Amai revient à la charge tel un revenant, ne laissant aucun répit à la petite Amai qui, en plus de son oncle, devra se mettre en quête de son identité et déterrer les secrets enfouis par son propre clan. Face à ces menaces, le jeune Kazekage et l'héritière Amai devront se montrer plus unis que jamais. Et malgré les embuches et les obstacles qu'ils rencontreront, le lien qui les unit ne fera que se renforcer...PS : Cette histoire se passe dans l'univers de Naruto créé par Masashi Kishimoto.
