Scars Along the Way
The Joker was once a little boy named Jack. Since they were in diapers, Eva Hartman was his best and only friend through the hell that they both endured behind closed doors. When they are suddenly separated, as far as Jack knows, she has abandoned him. What happens on this day is the final blow to Jack's psyche, and soon the Joker is born. Twelve years later, Eva and the Joker end up in the same place at the same time. Due to the misunderstanding of what really happened that day when they were younger, seeing her face fills him with the rage of being abandoned and left with a void in his heart and a lack of faith in anybody but himself.Will she be able to explain to him what really happened that day, before he kills her? Will learning the truth change the rage and pain he's been holding onto for over a decade? What if being with his childhood friend ends up taking him back to a time of innocence and joy? Will she derail all that he has planned for the city of Gotham?…

Though he is territorial of the town he's had in his grips for many years, he also finds that she is in certain ways more powerful than him. This gives her the leverage she needs to get close to him, and through their power-play, a bond grows. Is the bond strong enough to break him free of his cancerous, evil existence?…

Jack and Eva

I dont like a lot of distractions from pictures, videos and the author's notes in books I read on wattpad, I like to stay "in" the story so it feels real. Hopefully this helps you visualize the story better without being distracted while you're reading it. :)…
