3 days?! I followed Calum down the hall into the Activity Room but before I could even talk to him Sky came bounding over and jumped on me "I missed you!" she squealed in my ear, she wrapped her legs around my body and held on like a spider monkey hanging from a vine. "Sky get off her" said Michael pulling her off me, I smiled at him as a thank you and he kindly smiled back.

"Um, how long have I been gone?" I asked hoping I didn't sound stupid, they exchanged looks and smiled back at me "only a few hours like 4 tops I hope you enjoyed your nap" smiled sky brushing a hand up and down my arm in comfort, I nodded and sighed. I should have known not to trust Calum, I hardly even know the psychopath why did I even listen to him? "Is Ashton playing poker?" I asked them, they both nodded, Michael nodded backward behind him.
I stood on my tippy toes to look past him, Michael is quiet tall after all, I saw Ashton, Calum and two other people with them both men looking around 19-24 one with red hair and freckles and the other with a black mop of hair on top of his hair, his skin covered in tattoos both of the sporting nose piercings.

"They're playing poker right?" I asked making sure I had the right game and that I was ready for what I was about to get myself into. "Yes Raven they're playing poker" said Michael in an annoyed tone, I rolled my eyes and pushed past him making my way over to the table.

Being the daughter of a business man means being exposed to such games as poker over gatherings with clients or just for fun with his friends at home, when I was 7 he taught me and he taught me well.

"Hello boys" I said smiling warmly to the boys taking a seat in between Calum and Ashton both looking stunned at me. "Hey Raven?" said Ashton with a uneasy smile looking around the table not even making eye contact with me. "What are you doing here?" asked Calum rudely shuffling the cards in his hands giving me a side glance "I want to play" I said simply leaning back waiting for him to deal the cards out. He scoffed and nodded towards the other two that I didn't know " This is Isaac" he said nodding to the red head " and that's Kev" he continued, they both nodded and I waved.

"So about me playing?" I said, Calum turned to me with a mean look in his eyes "poker is a man's game, no women here" he said looking like he was going to slap me, I smirked and jabbed my finger into his chest "I'll bet you anything in this stupid place, anything at all that I'll beat you and all your buddies in poker" with every jab I could feel Calum getting angrier and angrier, Calum smacked my hand away and dealt the cards out giving each person two then placing the rest in the middle. I looked down at my cards and smiled 10 of hearts and a 9 of hearts, I flipped in a few chips and watched as the circle took their turn. Isaac and Ashton folded which meant the other two were in the game let's hope they make this interesting for me.

After 3 games of poker I think I proved my point to Calum seeing as I won 2 out of the 3 and ashton won the other by default. I smiled and tilted my head in victory as I leaned back in my seat "Yeah, Yeah whatever" said Calum practically chucking his chips into my lap "aww is someone sore because they suck at poker, such big talk for such a small boy" I said giving back his chips, what am I going to do with them? I can't cash them so what's the point keeping them. "Watch it" he warned me "Just because we're in here don't mean I won't do to you what I did to those girls out there" he said looking down at me, I gulped and held my breath, I've never been threatened like this, I've never been this scared before. My eyes widened and I looked away from him making him chuckle.

"Calum really?" said Ashton rubbing my arm, I shook my head and stood up pushing the chair over making a loud echo I shouldn't have played this stupid game with them now I have to worry about going to sleep even more tonight. Great.

I started to walk away but then something came over me and I spun on my heal angrier than ever, I marched over to him and slapped him at the back of his head making him stand up and tower over me but that didn't stop the works from spilling out of my mouth "and by the way you misogynistic little prick! If I ever hear you say anything about a woman not being able to do something a man can I'll personally skin you alive and hang you from a tree for the animals to get you! You sick fuck!" I screamed at him pushing him back with enough force to make him stumble back into the table.

Everyone sitting around the table all gasped, Calum went to hit me ot talk to me I don't know but whatever he went to do he was stopped by Ashton, he just grabbed Calum's arm and pulled on it and walked him out of the room. "Holy shit" breathed Isaac and Kev at the same time.

"Raven! Raven!" shouted sky skipping over with Michael behind her, Michael looked like he had been dragged through hell by his toe nails when he approached me. "What?" I said in a harsh tone which made her stop in her tracks "why are you being mean to me? What did I do? I'm sorry if I did something I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" she said running over and rapping her arms around me "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she continued looking up at me with tearful eyes. Ugh I'm such a bitch.

"No, no it wasn't you I just got into a fight with Calum and I'm still mad that's all" I said pushing her back, the smile quickly returned to her face and she let go of me taking my hand. "You're just grumpy because you're hungry" she said pulling me past people and to plate of pizza and coke. "I thought you said the food was bad here" I took a seat and began to stuff my face, it was so good I hope the food is always like this. "It is, this is Ashton's mum's cooking" she said smiling taking the seat in front of me resting her head in her hands "you're lucky I don't like eating! That's my slice" she said gesturing her hand to my plate that was now almost empty.

"what?! I can't eat this then, eat" I said practically throwing it at her, she scrunched up her face in disgust and pushed it away from her "Skylar if you don't eat I swear I'll stop being your friend" I said pushing it back at her, she frowned and took the slice in her hand taking a nibble of the crust then putting it down and rubbing her stomach trying to make me believe she was full. "Sky more" I pushed.

It took me 20 minutes but she finally finished the rest of the slice, I smiled and leaned back and grinned "yes! Good girl" I praised making her giggle.

"hey what did I miss?" said Ashton as he approached us " I ate a pizza slice!" shouted Skylar jumping up and wrapping her arms around his neck, I could see him smiling as he wrapped his arms around her waist almost hiding her whole back from view.

"That's so good of you!" he praised giving her a loooonnnnngggg kiss on the lips, I rolled my eyes at their lovey dovey ness but at least they're happy in a place like this. "Raven made me and I promise I won't throw it up later or anything I'll keep it in" she said running a finger over his lips, he smiled once more then kissed her again before letting her go.

"you're welcome" I said to them, the both of them didn't talk to me for the rest of the night which I didn't mind I was used to being ignored by couples all the time, mainly my parents.

"Lights out in 30!" screamed the man by the door again, I sighed and stood up whipping my mouth then walking away from the "cute" couple at the table that didn't even notice me leaving.

Once back in my room I laid on my bed and looked up at the ceiling waiting for Calum to return or for a guard to come in and take me away, alas there was a knock on the door an old lady with a tray of books looked into the room but didn't say anything. "Are you here to give me a book?" I asked from the bed, she squinted her eyes then nodded, I got up and walked over to her and looked through the books "have any horror?" I asked, she shook her head "not aloud may give people idea's" she said in a croaky voice, of course. I picked up "how to kill a mocking bird" and sat back on the bed flipping through the pages.

"hey" said a voice from the door, it was Calum, his hair wet and a towel around his waist leaving him shirt less, he scratched be back of his neck as he sat down on his bed, I sat up and waited for him to speak again. "I didn't mean what I said, like I wouldn't do that to you.. and I wouldn't do it to anyone I just, those girls did something so wrong and I acted out and I just.. look I'm sorry okay accept my apology please" he said lifting his head to look at me. Wow.

"yeah okay.. I'm sorry for calling you names and stuff to so we're all good, but we aren't hugging this out" I said, he chuckled and smiled. "Good, so friends?" he said reaching his hand out for me to shake, I leaned over taking his in mine "maybe, you're on the way there we're taking it slow" I said as we shook hands. He nodded and got up, turned then dropped his towel on the floor exposing his butt to me.

"Um!! This isn't exactly what I meant by taking it slow!" I said shielding my eyes with the blanket, he laughed making myself laugh at his laugh as it boomed out of his mouth and bounced around the walls of the small room. "Okay I'm dressed" he announced getting under the covers; I too got under the covers then rolled over so I was facing him.

"Well goodnight" he said shutting his eyes.

"goodnight" I said rolling over on my back continuing my novel until the nights went out and I finally put it down.
