It has been three long months since that fateful afternoon when Arnav and Khushi had a intriguing conversation on a rainy day in Arnavs dingy garage.
And now ninety days passed in a blurr.
The two were trying to be friends again. Though Arnav wanted more from Khushi still he respected her decision of being friends for now.

The two were now back to the same comfortable zone from where their life had taken a chaotic turn. And finally Arnav Malik has learnt to trust someone other than himself. The lessons were hard and painful but worthy enough.

Standing at a tea stall close to his house Arnav smiles recalling the pleasant and happy times from the last month. Khushi had begun to blush around him more often. On the pretext of having a playdate with Aarav she had started including him in her activities. Remembering Khushis smiles and accidental touches Arnav blushed slightly.

Who could have thought that the gangleader of Delhi, Arnav Malik would one day fall so hard for the beauty Khushi Gupta. Hiding his joy he wiped the smile from his face and paid the money for his beverage.

With a stern face Arnav was about to mount his royal enfield when his phone buzzed in his pocket. Rolling his eyes he took out his phone. Aarav. His little man always wants him to be around.

Yes Aarav what is....

Arnav Bhaiyya come home quickly!!

The worried tone of Aarav scared him epically. Turning to his cold and monsterous self he questioned him in a harsh no nonsense tone.

What happened? Tell me NOW.

With a hiccup the boy answered in a whisper. But the words that he spoke made Arnav Maliks blood boil with anger. Curses escaped his lips. Clenching his teeth with a growl Arnav mounted the bike but not before warning Aarav.

Stay there with Khushi. LOCK THE DOORS properly. I will be there in 5.

The ride back home from the tea shop normally takes Arnav 6 minutes or so.
But today he reached his place within 4 minutes almost crashing a old man on the way. Leaving his two wheeler at tbe main gate he rushed to the door. Without giving a second glance to his friends who were hovering around the dining table he spotted Khushi sitting in the corner chair.

A primal sound escaped Arnavs lips watching his womans condition. A red eyed Khushi sat hugging her self wrapped in Amans jacket. Black and blue bruises were visible on her wrist and cheeks. Sensing his presence the girl looked up with the most vulnerable and helpless face at Arnav.

Her lips trembled and a fresh set of tears accompanied her sadness. Slowly Khushi stood up from the chair and taking two steps she plastered herself to Arnav. Her form shook badly and she gripped him tightly to her.

Arnav sensed her fears and rubbed her back trying to provide some relief to both of them. But her reactions were not helping him at all. Hence Arnav Malik loosened their embrace and gazed at his beloved with anger, love and curiosity fillef eyes.

Who did this Khushi?!?

Khushi shook her head in denial. Knowing that his girl hated violence he swore but did not let go off the matter. Its now or never. Cupping the balls of her shoulder Arnav spoke in his cruel Malik voice making Khushi shudder in response.

I am not asking you to tell me. I am demanding his name Khushi Gupta. Lets try again. WHO. DID. THIS. TO. YOU?

Shutting her eyes in defeat Khushi gave him the cliffnotes of the incident that took place twenty minutes back in Laxmi Nagar.

Flashback...

Khushi was happily playing hide n seek in Laxmi Nagars park with her neighbors kids. Nothing seemed wrong at first. However after a while in between all the fun and games a group of 4 men surrounded her. Initially she ignored them. But then things escalated pretty badly. The slang language and inappropriate comments made her very uncomfortable. She wanted to leave the park at that moment.

However...what followed simply shattered her spirit.

Her scarf being pulled away with tremendous force...

A tight slap on the cheek...

The ripping of her kurta sleeves...

And the unforgettable echoes of the creeps hyena like laughter as she ran away with tears of humiliation...

After that everything seemed to be a blurr. She cannot remember how she flagged the first auto rickshaw to Arnavs place. Or how a baffled Aman wrapped her trembling self with his jacket.

With sniffs and tears Khushi finally brokedown in Arnavs arms. The only place where she finds solace in. The incident in the park had shaken her to the core. She still felt the unwanted forceful touches of those animals. Out of nowhere Arnavs voice broke her stupor.

Shhhhhh. Stop it Jaan. Please. Kyun itni taqleef de rahi ho apne aap ko?
(Why are you giving yourself so much pain dear?)

Arnavs soft tone cured half of her pain so easily. She gulped away the last of her sobs and with a hoarseness replied to him.

I feel so so dirty. Mujhe unke gande haath abhi bhi feel horhein hain Arnav. I need to take a bath. I need to...
(I can still feel their dirty hands on me Arnav).

Leaving her hug partially he cupped her face and with an intensity that pierced Khushis soul he slowly kissed her forehead, cheeks, eyes and chin. Khushi gazed back at him with a lost expression on her face.

You. Are. Pure. Not. Dirty. Meri Khushi paak hai. Samjhi tum.
(My Khushi is pure. Got it).

Wiping her tears Khushi nodded quickly like a child melting Arnavs heart furthermore.

Let me take a bath.

Khushi turned to leave for the washroom when Arnav softly pulled her back to him.

Complete your bath. Uske baad hum waapas jayenge Laxmi Nagar ke Park mein. And dont you dare n try to stop me Khushi Gupta.
(After that we will leave for the Laxmi Nagar Park).

Arnav observed her again to see if she still denied her well deserved justice but the woman only nodded with a far away look in her eyes. Her mind still lost somewhere. She turned away towards the washroom when with a harsh pull Arnav plastered her body to himself. Gazing at her surprised eyes he uttered the question which troubled him a moment ago.

Where is your Dupatta?

A gasp escaped her lips hearing his query. Her trembling hand cupped the rigid jaw of Arnav Malik making the man glare at her with a ferocious look. The madness within him was now turning into something totally vile giving birth to a primal creature who wanted to attack anything in his range.

They pulled it off my neck Arnav.

The seven words out of Khushis mouth pushed his control to a breaking point. He held himself still giving her a reassuring smile and allowed her to freshen up herself. As soon as he heard the shutting sound of the bathroom door Arnav grabbed the nearest sofa chair and pushed it with such a force that it fell in one go. He headed for the three seater but Aman and Arjun who were there all the time since Khushi arrival grabbed him making his immobile.

Let me GO. LEAVE ME BOTH OF YOU. LET GO.

Arnav thrashed in anger and pain. He had felt the tremors within Khushi. The unsaid helplessness in her hazel orbs flashed before his eyes again and again. No matter how hard he tried to remain calm for her, Khushis visible and invisible wounds plunged him into a vortex of darkness. He wanted to be positive and rational for his woman. But her missing Dupatta felt like the last strike that he could bear.

Growling and whining like a wounded animal Arnav vented out his lividness. He wanted to kill those worms at the moment. So he unbottled the anger in him a little bit to bring back his sense of control.

Better?

Aman whispered in his left ear to which his only response being a slow movement of his head. Slowly Arjun and Aman let go of him. They picked up the furniture arranging it again the way it was to maintain the facade for Khushi and Aarav.

Arnav Malik was pushed to his boiling point and this time he would not stop until those creatures start feeling sorry for themselves. Composing himself Arnav ordered Aman along with Arjun to call Raj, Karan and Akaash. He wanted revenge from the culprits behind this hideous act. Determined to fight till his last breath he rushed to his room only to collect his gun, a small but sharp silver knife and his new brass knuckle punch. Picking up his favourite weapons Arnav Malik turned into his gangster self. He came back to the living room in record time to find a much better looking Khushi.

Wearing a fake happy smile on his face he kissed her forehead and then clasped her hand in his, the bruise on her wrist glared back at him. Facing Khushi he gesticulated her to move out of the house. Blinking her eyes twice in agreement she headed outside. Her expression laced with hope, fear and justice.

Usually Arnav enjoys the thrill of his speeding bike but today he did not feel an ounce of that ecstasy. Today he felt a different kind of high. The blood within him wanted to see the blood of others. Specifically the red liquid oozing out of the four bodies which he wanted to remain lifeless for as long as possible. Khushi arms were the only reminder of his humanity. The few minutes ride which felt like hours to Arnav finally ended at the newly painted gate of Radhashyam Park near Khushis house.

Since it was late afternoon only a few people were loitering around park. Arnav sauntered to the park with a semi confident Khushi clasping his hand. His four friends were in a que following him simply waiting for a sign. Silver chains, hockey stick and iron rods occupied the hands of Aman, Raj, Akaash Karan and Arjun. Arnavs weapon were well hidden in his pockets sans the knuckle punch which he wore proudly in his other hand.

All six of them looked in every direction trying their best to locate those goons. However they seemed to have disappeared in thin air. After a while it became obvious that those men have left the area. Disappointed and enraged Arnav shook his head. He was looking forward to give Khushi and himself some peace of mind but circumstances were not in their favor.

Hence with a sigh of defeat the groups exited the park. With sagged shoulders Arnav climbed the bike giving a look to Khushi. With a nod she was about to sit behind him when from the rear view mirror she spotted one man playing with her red dupatta. A gasp escaped her lips as she watched the man standing at Happy Singhs repair center while his other mates sat on the wooden bench on the periphery of the garage.

Hearing the sound from Khushi Arnav faced her in reflex. Worried by her stance he quickly grabbed her petite shoulders. Vulnerable eyes met his encouraging ones. Taking strength from him Khushi was quick enough to point her finger towards the creeps that tried to ruin her.

Wohi hain...woh chaaron jo garage ke paas khade hain. Dekho humara dupatta abhi bhi uske paas hai.
(They are the ones...those four who are standing near the garage. See they still have my stole with them).

Arnavs eyes keenly followed her finger and he saw his herd of prey. The left corner of his lips lifted upwards in a nasty smirk. Finally he got what he wanted. Meeting Khushis doe eyes again Arnav Malik kissed her forehead roughly and then pulled away from her touch. Khushi understood his unsaid words. Stand where you are and dont move.

Arnav Malik the gangster took over the lover of Khushi Gupta. And what was left was a livid and psychotic gangster who wanted to see blood tonight. In 4 strides the six bad boys surrounded Happy Singhs garage. Flipping their weapons in the air they gained the attention of the creeps along with Happy Singh and the other bystanders.

Alarm bells rang in the ears of the vile men. They understood that these uninvited guests were not here for a social reason. Sharing a look among themselves the four stopped what they were doing and with a defensive posture one of the man who also happened to be twisting Khushis stole walked upfront to the six armed dangerous looking men.

For a minute no one said a single word. Arnav Malik glared at the creeps with a cold and harsh look. However in one fleeting moment chaos took over the usually silent street of Laxmi Nagar.  Arnavs gang used all their weapons to hit the four eve teasers. An ugly fight began between the two groups. Arnav and his friends had an advantage over the other group as they were 6 against the 4 of them.

While the rest of the gang took care of the others Arnav Malik dealt with the man who had Khushis stole. A haze of craziness took over him and he beat the  man till he turned into a bloody mess. And in the meantime the other three creeps ran away with their tail between their legs. Unfortunately Creep number four was still in the grasp of a certain Malik. The rest of the gang tried to stop Arnav but he was no longer in control of himself.

Meri Khushi ko haath kaise lagaya huh...KAISE CHUA USSE?!!?
(How dare you try and touch My Khushi...HOW DARE YOU?!!?)

Grabbing away Khushis dupatta from the vile man Arnav continued to punch him to death. He did not bother to hear the pleads of his friends. It did not make a difference to his rage. Every punch made his mind sigh in relief. The man was on the verge of death when a soft touch on Arnavs shoulder made him pause altogether.

Let him go. Please.

Watching the fight turn into a disaster Khushi stood helpless near Arnavs bike. She saw how the hooligans turned into scared rats under the hands of Arnav and his friends. But when Arnav lost control over the one man who had her dupatta she had to make a move. Not wanting her man to cause a death Khushi Gupta walked a few steps towards the garage and stopped Arnav from beating the life out of him.

And as expected her one touch was enough for Arnav Malik to understand the where and what of the situation. Not wanting to scare Khushi Arnav had no choice but to step away from the monster. So with a slight unhappiness and sagged shoulders he turned to face her only to wrap Khushis stole over her body.

Tum theek ho?
(Are you alright?)

His three worded question made Khushi Gupta snake her arms around Arnavs neck. She would never be able to understand this man. The same man had once accused her with the tag of being a characterless woman. And today the same Arnav Malik had saved her honor giving her justice in his own weird way.

Mentally chuckling at his question Khushi Gupta clutched him more securely to herself. The PDA in the streets of Laxmi Nagar did not bother her at all. She felt like a free bird tonight. Caressing the hair behind his neck Khushi had an epiphany.

He maybe a gangster....

He maybe a silent man...

But he has a strong hold over her fragile heart.

Hamesha humara Saath dijiyega...
(Always stand by Me...)

Understanding the depth of her words Arnav smiled slightly embracing her tightly to himself. Thanking the lord above he nodded his head agreeing to her words.

Hamesha Khushi...Hamesha.
(Always Khushi....Always).
