now! one might argue that they could be shipped
which, yes it'd be quite easy actually
(pretty sure there's fanfiction)

but i simply don't want to✨

now the thing is, obélix gets crushes right? like half of the time there's some girl there

but astérix? never

and it's not like he doesn't get noticed by any women or anything, but he never has any significant reaction to them like,,, flirting with him or kissing his cheek or anything

and he's the mc, it does happen

dude just said "romance? (sex?) no! i'm saving the world" and i think that's very aroace of him
