I turn around and see Koneko in the middle of the hallway. She was walking up to me and the only thing I could think of was how much I missed her.

"Kon-"

I'm stopped from speaking as she slapped me across the face.

"Where were you? Do you know how-"

I couldn't hear a word she said. My mind was clouded with dark thoughts.

Think about it. It's time, you don't need them.

"Are you listening to me?!"

"Huh?"

I feel a sharp pain in my head, like a laser was going through my brain. I lean against the wall as I grab my head.

"Hey, are you okay?"

I shove her away from me and a dark aura surrounds me.

"Tell me something, do you love Issei?"

"What, where did that-"

"Don't dodge the question!! Answer me!! DO YOU LOVE ISSEI!!!"

She was quiet for a bit before she looked at me with eyes of guilt.

"Don't lie"

I charge up to her, grabbing her by the shoulders and pushing her against the wall.

"DO YOU STILL LOVE ISSEI!!!"

"YES!!! I STILL LOVE HIM!!!"

She fell to the ground as she starts crying. I feel my heart shatter into a million pieces and my world starts crumbling down and burns to ashes. I release her and collapse into the opposing wall. My face in pain as I feel my heart ripped out from my chest.

"I do, but I... want... to remain like that, I love-"

Her words turn to static as they fail to fully process through my brain.

Issei.

What...

What she was going to say, she was going to say she loves Issei. Are you okay with that? Are you okay with that fool taking what's rightfully yours.

No... No, NO NO NOOO!!!

Allow me to fill that void of yours, to help you release your pain, to RELEASE YOUR ANGER!!!

I pick myself up as I start walking away as Koneko tries to call for me, none of her words reaching me though. I walk zombie-like as I exit the school. I walk out into the road, not paying attention to any cars on the road. Those same words resonating in my ears.

"Yes!!! I still love him!!!"

She loves him.. she told me she loves him...

My legs were moving on there own, not knowing where my path would lead me. I lean against a wall and notice no one around me, I was in a deserted place. I punch it as hard as I can and yell out as hard as I can. I let out all my pain and frustration. I repeatedly punched the wall over and over until there was no wall. I had entered an old abandoned car construction building and let out my fury, tearing the large building down until only rubble was left around me.

WHY!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SO I WOULDN'T HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE!!!

I punch the ground, shattering it into a massive crater. I start feeling light headed as I use my arm to support myself from falling. I feel a hand on my shoulder as girl speaks from behind me.

"I see, you seem to have let out your frustration on this place"

"Yea, so what? Was it your home? If it was-"

"No, it wasn't, but the energy you released attracted me"

I turn around to see who was talking to me and find a girl.

"Hello there, my name is Ophis, I'd like to make you an offer"

"What?"

Koneko POV

Where is he? I've tried looking for him the entire time but he's nowhere to be found. I tried calling, texting, everything but he won't talk to me.

"Koneko, Have you seen Y/n?"

I look to my right to see Rias along with Issei and Akeno.

"Oh hey, yes but he ran off when we talked"

"Talked? About what?"

I stop myself as my eyes widen thinking of our last conversation.

"TELL ME!! DO YOU LOVE HIM!!!"

"YES!!! I STILL LOVE HIM!!!"

I couldn't say anything other jump into Rias' arms as I cried. She patted my head as to try and calm me down.

"It's okay, tell me what happened"

There's no way, I can't tell her.

She looks me in the eyes with concerned eyes.

"Koneko, trust me, I want to help you, but in order to do that, you have to tell me what's gotten into him"

"Alright"

Y/n POV

I was walking back home. What I'd do once I get there, who knows. Honestly I just want to leave and go back home but..

"Burned"

Young Master Y/n, it appears you and Lady Ophis had an interesting conversation.

Yes, but I don't know about her offer.

You should consider it Young Master, it could benefit the both of us. Having the Infinity Dragon on our side could make things less difficult to deal with. With our strengths combined, no faction could ever stand a chance against us. We would be kings!!

That's not what I'm after Erebus.

You will be able to have anything you want Young Master.

What's with the whole Young Master treatment?

You've earned my respect and I deem you worthy enough to weild me at full power if you choose to do so. I'll let you tap into my own juggernaut drive that the dragon emperor seems to call.

Juggernaut drive?

It's true name is Chaos Overdrive. It will let you use the entire extend of my powers for a short period of time. I cannot let you use it entire or it'll eat up at you sanity. Be warned though, the cost of using that form will be covering your mind with creating nothing but carnage and murder. You will have control over it, but I'd prefer to warn you on the consequences of using it. It can really affect you mindset after each use.

So I'd be losing my sanity the longer I use it...

But if you train how to use it, no doubt about it Young Master. You'll be the first to be able to master it and still retain your sanity instead of turning into a mindless, over powered beast.

I start walking back to the Hyoudou residence to see if the others had arrived. The entire time, my face expression stayed the same. I couldn't feel like happiness is something I could show any longer. I arrive at the front door of the house and stop inches from the door.

They are here Young Master.

I open the door and walk in. I didn't spot anybody right away as I made my way around the house. I heard a ruckus in one of the rooms on the top floor.

"That's where you are all at"

I made my way up to the stairs and listen closely to see which door they could be in. I walk passed the first two when I heard the commotion coming from the third door.

This door leads to a meeting room of sorts.

I put my hand on the door knob and take a deep breath, before turning the knob and walking in. My eyes widen as I see the scene in front of me.

Issei and Koneko were kissing as the rest of the group were staring at them. They turn towards the door seeing me. They all freeze, not knowing what to say.

"Yes!!! I LOVE HIM!!!"

I pulled out my sword and in a flash, The tip struck the wall, slightly cutting his cheek. My eyes had murderous intent but my body still had no intent on killing my best friend. In the midst of heavy breathing I look into his eyes.

"WEREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE MY BEST FRIEND!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!"

"It's not what it looks like"

"SHUT UP!!"

I could feel every vein in my body burn up as anger surged through my body. I pull out the sword but don't sheath it, leaving it in my hand as I punch the wall, nearly decapitating Issei.

"I see, these bonds we created won't allow me to kill you"

I pull back my fist as the rest of the group stares not knowing what to do. I can feel Koneko grab my hand but I pull it back.

"I don't need love, I dont need a family, I was doing fine on my own"

"Y/n, stop this instant, as your master I order you to give me that sword"

I look towards Rias, I could tell she told Akeno to back her up if I were to attack.

"That sword has completely changed you since you've got it back, you haven't been-"

"Silence, I don't follow your rules anymore"

"What?! I AM YOUR MASTER-"

"I said SILENCE!!"

The room quiets down as I close my eyes.

"Erebus.. I accept your deal, free me from my shackles and take what you want, I no longer want to be a slave to a dog who barks orders, I WANT TO BE FREE!!"

As you wish Young Master.

A purple magic circle appears around me as a black aura envelopes me. I stick my sword in the ground and the chains that surrounded the hilt release it, a black figure with red eyes appears from it.

"Young Master, I heard your call. I, Erebus, the God of Chaos, hearby offer you, all my power. I shall take your left arm as a sacrifice and replace it with my own"

Erebus pulls out the sword as my arm rises up. He brings the sword up to his head before bringing it down, slicing my arm clean off. I scream in agony as my arm erases from the face of the earth.

"Now Young Master, I shall reside inside you. You may use my power to whatever you wish to do, my power is now yours"

His body turns to smoke as it enters my chest. My arm starts growing back in the shape of a gauntlet. Once it completely forms, the magic circle disappears and everything goes back to normal. I look at my new arm.

I can feel its incredible power that it is giving off.

"Erebus, we aren't done"

"Indeed we are not"

"The sword can.. talk"

Akeno said not knowing what to think.

"I can now, Young Master has released me from my shackles that had been placed upon me by the leaders of the factions back in the day"

"Enough talking Erebus, complete your part of the deal"

"As you wish Young Master, I apologize beforehand of any pain you feel"

My armored hand shoves itself into my chest as blood comes out from my mouth.

"Y/n!!"

I could hear Koneko yell out from behind me.

"There we are"

Erebus pulls out the evil piece from inside my body.

"Here"

I toss it towards Rias.

"I don't need you, that weak power, or any of your backstabbing family"

I walk passed her but stop after my name's called.

"Y/n, don't go"

It's Koneko, from the sounds of things she is crying.

I don't feel sadness.

That is because I took part of your humanity remember, I took away some of your emotions Young Master.

... Good. It's for the best it stays that way.

"Rias, get this straight"

I turn back to her.

"If you call your brother and I have the world after me because you put me as a wanted criminal, I will hunt you down and make hell a whole lot worse than it already is"

"Are you threatening to start a battle against me?"

"No, it's a war against all devils"

I walk out.

Foolish girl, even if the three main faction leaders combined, they wouldn't stand a chance against you in Chaos Overdrive.

I said that as a simple threat, I dont mean to start a war.

You still feel anger, don't you Young Master?

I don't say a word as I walk out the Hyoudou residence and begin walking.

I'll take it as a yes. Hold it Young Master, I sense someone spying on us.

I walk into an alley and put my hand on the hilt as I wait for them to come out.

"Hey, relax, it's just me"

I turn around and spot a familiar figure.

"What do you want?"

"To talk a little"

She said as she smiled at me.

I believe this is officially the longest chapter I've written on this book, had a hellavu time writing it just for you guys and gals. We are closing in on the final chapters before we close Vol 1, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm delaying the big meeting for a special reason and have set it to take place about a month later (story time, not real world). So Y/n is officially out of Rias peerage, there's no way for me to write out Koneko out of her peerage like some were commenting due to it affecting the anime. I also had this planned out since the start of the book to have this happen towards the ending chapters. Anyways, I hope you all atleast enjoyed this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it.
