Aqua-star's POV

Arcee, Ratchet and Bulkhead went to get Optimus. While I maned the ground bridge. As soon as they got through with Optimus, I closed it. Just in time according Bulkhead as Megatron was on his tail pipe. Optimus had been exposed to a lot of dark energon, that has weakened him. But he should make a complete recovery.

Apparently Megatron had found a volcano full of dark energon. We still have no idea what the blood of Unicron is doing on Earth. But we know things are about to get a lot worse. June couldn't take it and wanted to leave with all the kids. But Jack and Miko refused to go. So she only took Raf in her car.

"Prime, do you copy?" Fowler asks over the comm system. Great, what is it now? I wonder.

"I hear you, agent Fowler" Optimus tells him.

"Been watching the news?" Fowler asks him. "Mother nature's got a twitch in her britches" he states. I roll my optics.

"We know about the volcano" Optimus assures him.

"And the quakes? Seven major tumblers of the exact same magnitude At the exact same time as a volcanic eruption All over the globe on different tectonic plates, In theory, unrelated, if they hadn't happened at the exact same time..." Fowler explains.

"The planetary alignment" Ratchet and I state.

"Check it out. More good news" Miko tells us pointing at the TV. She turns up the volume on it.

"Freak storms unlike any the region has seen. Tsunamis threaten the canadian coast while lightning storms pummel the Gobi desert. Meanwhile, electromagnetic anomalies plague urban power grids. These abnormal global phenomena are leaving most to wonder why now and what next?" the news reporter asks.

"Don't tell me your 'Cons have built a weather machine" Fowler says.

"One that powerful? Highly unlikely" Ratchet tells him.

"Besides the cons don't need to control the weather to bring humanity to it's knees if they really wanted too" I add.

"I do not believe the appearance of Dark Energon at this point in time to be coincidental" Optimus states. "It appears a tornado is heading towards Jasper, Bumblebee go after Nurse Darby and Rafael" he orders. Bee didn't have to be told twice and transforms. Speeding out of the base. "Aqua-star, we may need you to fight. But stay close to one of us at all times" he tells me.

"You got it Optimus" I assure him. Bee soon returns with Raf and June. He'd saved them from being taken by a tornado. Both are unharmed. Well June is, but at least Raf's condition hasn't gotten worse. But we still have to find out why this is happening. Especially as this is now a global emergency with the wacky weather patterns all around the world.

"What have you learned, Prime?" Fowler demands as he exists the elevator. "And you better not blow smoke up my oven" he adds. Then notices June and becomes less stern. "Ms. Darby. What a nice surprise" he says with a pleasant smile. I roll my optics, someone has a major crush on Jack's mum.

"Special agent Fowler" she says with a small smile.

"We have learned this, as with the so-called magma from the volcano, these earthquakes originated far below the Earth's crust, from the very center of the Earth's core, in fact" Ratchet explains to Fowler.

"And I have studied a few planets in my time, no earthquakes start from the core of a planet" I state.

"Tiny tremors rising and failing in a consistent pattern, almost like. By the Allspark! If I convert these data points to audio files. Well, listen" Ratchet tells us and plays it. I gasp at the sound.

"A cybertronian heartbeat?" Jack asks.

"How is that possible? A heart pumps blood. There's nothing inside the earth to pump except..." June stops talking.

"Dark energon, the blood of Unicron" I finish. "This is very bad" I state. "He must be the darkness the prophecy is warning us about. Not Megatron" I tell them.

"I agree" Optimus states.

"Okay, hold on. You mean something's living down there inside our planet?" Miko asks us.

"I fear that the Earth's very core is not comprised of magma as your science has suggested, but of Dark Energon" Optimus states.

"And if we're hearing a Spark, then Unicron is the rising darkness that the prophecy foretold. As you and Aqua-star have agreed" Ratchet adds.

"So, how do we stop this thing from rising?" Fowler asks us.

"That, I am afraid, was not foretold" Optimus tells him.

"Last time it took Primus himself and thirteen other Primes to banish Unicron. We now only have one Prime" I state. The odds are no in our favour, I add silently.

"How can something be in our Earth's core and be alive?" June asks us.

"Such a thing is not unprecedented" Optimus tells her. "Before the beginning, there was Primus, and there was Unicron. One, the incarnation of creation the other of destruction" he states. "For eons, Primus and Unicron battled the balance of power shifting between them more times than could be counted. Only by creating the 13, the original Primes who preceded me, was Primus finally able to defeat Unicron and cast him out. Primus became one with the very core of our planet, creating life through the well of all-sparks, while Unicron was never to be heard from again until now" he explains.

"All Cybertronians know the tale" I state.

"Maybe we can find the hole this Uber-'Con left when he dug himself all the way down there and fill it full of explosives" Fowler suggests.

"You don't get it Fowler, this happened millions if not billions of your Earth years ago" I tell him.

"Aqua-star is correct" Optimus states. "Agent Fowler, I do not believe that Earth became Unicron's home but rather that with time and gravitational force, debris collected around the slumbering titan" he explains.

"Forming your Earth itself" Ratchet adds.

"So you see he is your planets core as Primus is Cybertrons" I tell the humans.

"And he's only awakening now due to the magnetic pull created by the planetary alignment" Arcee states.

"Okay, well, what happens now when Unicron wakes up from his billion-year nap?" Jack asks us.

"Yeah, does he stretch and kapow! Earth poufs to dust?" Miko asks. None of us answer her.

"You don't know. Do you?" June asks.

"You don't know, do you? My guess is that Unicron has transcended physical form as we know it.
Nonetheless, we must find a way to ensure that this force of nature never fully awakens. The fate of your planet depends upon it" Optimus declares. "We must fan out, try to find any signs of a way to keep Unicron from waking" he states.

(Time skip)

Optimus is currently out on recon of an epicenter. We'd already investigated the others. "Ratchet, this epicenter is consistent with the findings of the others. Its terrain is rich in ore" he reports. I write the information down.

"So, what does that tell us?" Fowler asks.

"It follows that the natural metals in your Earth would be extensions of Unicron. His limbs, if you will" Ratchet explains.

"So, he did have his morning stretch, which is why these quakes happened" June says.

"Yes" I tell her. Just then there was a spike in Unicron's spark beat. Ratchet informs Optimus.

"Rest assured, Ratchet, I will proceed with vigilance" Optimus assures him. I pray he does. As I have a bad feeling, this is just the beginning of the threat Unicron posses to this planet and everyone on it.
