Katsuya's POV

I've finally met the Generation of Miracles.

Too bad I'm supposed to be dating Akashi-kun.

They also scheduled a practice game for tomorrow. Lets see how good they actually are.

And I will prove to them that I am a better Phantom than Tetsuya.

Either way, I will break them and become the best player in Japan, no, the world.

I thought about all this as I'm lying down in my bed, too many thoughts in my head for me to actually sleep.

Time skip to the game

Midorima's POV

I walked to the court, listening to Oha Asa's predictions for today.

"The fifth most lucky sign on the list, is Aquarius! However, stay away from other Aquariuses for they may bring you pain and suffering."

This is definitely out of the ordinary. Just in case, I brought my lucky item for today, a stress ball.

I arrived at the court seeing the rest of the team already there.

Except... Kuroko?

"I'm sure you all noticed that something wrong is going on with Kuroko. Today's practice game is hopefully going to prove otherwise."

I don't see what basketball would prove anything. But he's Akashi.

Even without the other Akashi, he is still intimidating.

"Domo, minna-san," Kuroko said out of nowhere, making us all jump.

I pushed up my glasses, hiding my facial expression.

His lack of presence is annoying, nanodayo.

"Kurokocchi!! Ready to play??" said Kise enthusiastically.

"Hai," Kuroko said.

We drew lots to see who our teammates would be.

I was with Kuroko and Aomine, and the other team was Murasakibara, Kise and Akashi.

Kagami was our substitute, for now.

Momoi went to the center of the court.

"Its time for... the tip off!!!"

No one's POV

Momoi threw the ball up, and to no one surprise, Murasakibara caught it first.

He passed the ball to Kise and immediately ran to defend the hoop.

Aomine ran to block Kise.

Aominecchi's on me? Well prepare to be amazed! Kise thought.

He pulled a drive to escape from Aomine's defense but he was too quick.

Aomine stole the ball from Kise and heard Kuroko ever so faintly:

"Aomine-kun, pass it to me."

He passed it to Kuroko and he passed it to Midorima.

Midorima shot a three pointer from halfway through the court.

This time, Akashi caught the ball.

He dribbled the ball to the three point line and was surprised to see that Kuroko was on him.

Akashi effortlessly passed him, went in the two-point line and was double teamed by Midorima and Aomine.

"Move," Akashi said.

With those words, he performed an Ankle Breaker on both of them and aimed for a two pointer.

"Oh no you don't!" Aomine yelled.

He jumped to stop Akashi but he jumped a little too late.

The scoreboard said 3-2.

After the second quarter was over, they switched out Aomine for Kagami.

During that 10 minute break, the GOM except Kuroko plus Kagami discussed on how Kuroko was playing.

"He seems to be playing like his usual self. Nothing new." Kagami said.

"No. It's completely different," Aomine said.

These words shocked the GOM except Akashi.

"His passes are similar yes, but, they're on fleek. It's too perfect."

"Maybe Kurokocchi was just practicing before this," Kise suggested.

Midorima snickered and said, "Either way, I like him better than the one before,"

"STOP!" Akashi said, furious. "Kagami, you'll be the judge of him in the next half of the game. Good luck."

Kagami nods and they all line up.

He looked at the scoreboard. "70-71".

We were winning.

Kagami's POV

Momoi threw the ball up, and Murasakibara and I jumped.

I jumped a little higher than him.

I threw the ball to my side of the court and went after it.

I dribbled the ball and went to face Kise.

"You're not going anywhere, Kagamicchi!"

"Let's see about that," I said.

I faked a run to the left and zoomed past him on the right.

I passed him and passed the ball to Kuroko.

Kuroko attempted to shoot it into the basket.

Following our normal strategy, I jumped to block Murasakibara and finish our alley-oop.

I was shocked when he shot the ball.

It was perfect.

I didn't even need to shoot it in.

Murasakibara jumped too late and the ball fell in the hoop.

We were all dumbfounded and stared at him. He seemed to feel awkward.

Kise was the first to break the silence.

"Umm... nice shot Kurokocchi?" \_(○.○)_/ stuttered Kise.

"Arigato, Kise-kun," Kuroko said.

As he turned to continue the game, I could've sworn I sensed a dark aura...

Hi guys! Thx for reading the book. I'm currently at a writers block so I might not update fast enough. I already came up with the climax and how to lead up to it, but I don't know what to write before that. Pls give me any comments regarding my writing. Help me make this book have at least 100 reads!

Peace!
