Chapter 1 : Descendants of the sun

_________★★★

“God has not created thou for committing sins, thy sins will cause thou wrinkles over thine face, and will cause flaws to thy wings, feathers will wilt and ashes shall never reincarnate thee.” The middle-aged man scolded the young angel-lady in front of him. Her strawberry blonde hair is curled at the ends with flowery pinkish hues adding beauty to her locks, and a flower crown of baby-pink coloured roses crafted by the 'magic ministry' embellish over her head. Each crown is said to be unique and designed with the feathers of phoenix; the only celestial being known to regenerate itself with its own ashes after cremation or death, but there's more to the intricate process.

A twinkle of sparks in her eyes hinted that she had no guilt of the illicit act she could be condemned for. Her fainted cherry colored lips were pursed tightly to prevent her mouth from causing anymore trouble than she already was in, her fingers fiddling with the hem of her white embroidered skirt that levelled up to her knees.

“God may forgive thee, once thou vow in name of thy creation.” It's believed that once an angel vows formally in the name of their creation, they shall not break any more laws, and if they do, death is something they have to redeem with. And that little angel knew that it was not the time to vow, she was still young and sins were something which were out of her control. Saving someone's life shouldn't be a sin, so what she's not the guardian of that particular human, she's gifted with the ability to heal, so why not save someone? That's how she found herself clutched by the magical handcuffs tugged by one of the roaming officers called custodians.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.

The grey bearded man quoted, sitting at the uppermost platform–– the royal seat designed with celestial magic and idiosyncratic power possess by the individual seated there, known as the Lord of 'Felicia' cloud. The lady nodded in the response but not a single word escaped her lips in remorse, which ultimately made the situation worse. Without much effort, the middle aged man, senior of custodians, mocked, “O lord, she shall learn right therefore, castigate her for her wrong deed.”

“A father might forgive you, but lord of Felicia cannot,” the grey bearded man announced with it's roaring voice, firmly gripping the words, “god shall forgive you, and we hold no right to slaughter your wings. But, unbeknown to me, you committed a gnarled sin, we hold the right and shall extract 'Blisses' from your intangible soul, and send you in exile for the unforgivable sins you wear no regret for.”

The blonde girl titled up her head and met her eyes with her father, but she didn't find him. It was the supreme lord igniting with responsibilities, power, disappointment and rage––who already buried the bondings with his daughter; Rosé. She scanned the face conceited with rationality of angels and judicious aroma.

“I will abide by the laws and your decision, my lord,” father.

Rosé spoke formally, and this time she'd not only broken laws, but committed a reprehensible sin, also, the shattered the heart of her own father. She regretted, not for saving someone's life, but for not regretting it.

The celestial court was adjourned for the day, the decision was final and noted down at the royal drafts. She disappointed her father's pride by using her healing abilities on a human not meant for it––someone not fated for. “What a disgrace she is,” she heard voices belittling her but it didn't hurt, nothing could have pierced her heart right then. The hurtful words were nothing in front of the gaze her father beamed over her. She made him disappointed with the present day's offense very unintentionally––pure intentions may turn sinful––the ordeal taught her.

“Stop sulking at the corner Rosie, you ain't alone,” Nini reprimanded, whilst munching on a pink cotton candy. Another angel, and also the daughter of one of the noblemen of the celestial court. Her straight hair brushed into lustrous black, eyes small but sparklingly sharp, and behind the whitish pale face hid a softie and mischievous soul. “Settle down on the couch already.”

Rosé blinked her eyes sparingly, and crouched besides Nini, who was consumed in watching one of the humans' activities she's being messing up with for quite some time–– in the orbuculum, placed at the round table next to the couch. “Who's it?” Rosé asked, being oblivious again. Nini glowered at her, narrowing her cat eyes and turned her gaze back to the crystal ball. “What's with that glare? I really don't know.”

“He's the human whose life is a living hell, all thanks to Nini, his guardian angel,” A voice came across from Rosé's back, but none of the two bothered to spare their looks in the direction, after all, they knew the owner of the voice so well. Rosie wasn't aware of the sin the elder committed and she never thought she would commit such a mischievous and illegitimate sin.

“And what makes you think so?" Nini dryly replied, and stuffed her mouth with the remaining candy, partly rolling her eyes and fixing her gaze on the stupefied face of Rosé. “Don't judge me, I was just trying to help him but I was mad when he started acting like a sexist.”

“That's not being sexist, he was concerned about his sister's job, it was unsafe,” Soya retorted with reluctance, and hopped on besides Rosie. “Besides, I know you got jealous when you saw him flirting with a woman.”

Nini didn't deny it, which made Rosé shook her head agreeably and then looked towards the sphere. Nini's a big attention seeker and she loves being admired and being the throne herself, so when she found her 'selene' flirting with a woman who wasn't her, she couldn't restraint herself from pouring magic that ruined his life to a great extent. And being an angel, she didn't realize the huge changes she caused in his life and how much he's been struggling to get back on his feet again. No, he's not hurt but the drastic mutation in his life by the complex algorithm of magic swayed him completely.

“Again, what's his name?” Soya enquired, wrapping her hands around Rosie's shoulders.

“Min Yoon Gi.”

“Poor him,” Soya shook her head feeling sorry about the man. She's been to earth twice already and she knows how to build the bridge between angels and humans' emotions, and indeed she's a good gatekeeper who doesn't allow herself to either get drowned with emotions nor do she let herself become too stiff. Just that she's too poor in handling magic spells, and wasted an authentic magic on the wrong human.

“Earth to Soya,” Nini said with a deadpan expression, which made Rosé chuckle softly.

“Seems like we three are going together for some thrills on Earth,” Soya mouthed with a gloomy face, not seeming too happy with the whole 'exile idea', and her lips forming an inverted- U.

“But where's Lili? It doesn't feel good to leave her alone in Felicia,” Rosé asked, thinking of her best friend, of her age group with a difference of only one by eighth Bliss. They called themselves soulmates and have been together since their birth. What makes their bond so genuine and unique is that they both share the feathers of the same phoenix. Something very rare, and connecting which makes em feel each other's emotions even when they are far apart.

“I have plans to take her with us,” Nini smiled slyly, licking her lips to taste the sticky sweet taste––the aftertaste. Both Rosie and Soya arched their brows questioningly. It's obvious that the youngest one haven't committed any disastrous sin which can send her to exile with rest three. And if it's about fabricating her in one, no that's not how Nini deals. She's shrewd and she'd surely not put herself and her dear ones in more danger by trying out something so illegal which has the capacity to extract all the Blisses that have left.

“No, we're not framing her,” Soya muttered, being obvious that she's got very little brains in matters like this, which earned a huge fabulous laugh from Nini. Rosé just scrutinized their expressions wrinkles on her forehead.

“Dumbo, I've better plans. Isn't it stated in celestial-stellar-forebodings that it's sin to fall in love with a human?”

A/N : so how's the first chapter? Do leave your views please.

And also, 'selene' term is being used by angels for whom they are being fated to protect, help, support. In other words, they are the guardian angel of that particular person.

'Selene' is a name, and it is also the name of Greek goddess of moon.

I chose this name because angels represent the sun, while the 'moon' reflects the light of the sun and cannot generate light of its own––so we, the humans are moon to em lol. I know my way of thinking sort of sucks but it's what I came up with. Lol.

Do hit vote and comments are highly appreciated. Also, tell me if it's boring, I'll unpublish it like my other works. Lol.

Lastly, idk if I'll get time to update soon. Sorry.
