So then, a couple of weeks past. We go on a lot of secret dates, unfortunately, Peggy ran out of dresses although I must admit I still looked fabulous.  We went back to our little hiding spot and have gotten to know each other pretty well. Last night was a big step for me and Steve. I told him I was going to be there when they injected the serum. Everyone should see the smile he gave me, it was infectious. Currently, though, I look in the mirror and put my hair into a tight low bun. Then I finish tightening my army uniform. I do miss my fresh leather and my whip. But now I have to dress in this uniform because apparently according to Peggy "lots of important people will be there and you should look presentable" she said it as if I don't look great already.

"You're nervous," Peggy stated as a matter of factly behind me.

"Who wouldn't be? How would you feel if your boyfriend was going to be injected with something that hasn't been tested before? It's like a lamb to the slaughter." I snapped at her. Then, Peggy looked at me sternly and I realized she was only worried about me. I took a deep breath and spoke. "Look, I'm sorry it's just I'm scared. It's funny I've never been scared like this. For someone else, you know?"

"I do. It's just a part of the job of being a partner. I bet Steve would feel the same way if it was you getting injected with the serum."

"Yeah, he would." I smile to myself knowing how caring and kind he is.

"When did you start calling him your boyfriend?"

"Did I say, boyfriend?" I look at Peggy with a smile. "I mean, yeah...he is." I smile uncontrollably and Peggy smiles with me. Then she checks her watch.

"Time to go."

"Already?"

"Yes." She responded flatly and we walked out of our cabin. I saw Steve next to the car and when I got next to him he opened the car door for me. I kissed his cheek.

"What a gentleman you are Mr.Rogers."

"For the best girl, of course, I am." He responded and we got into the car. We drove for a while in comfortable silence. Then I spoke.

"I'm nervous." I stated to him and he looked at me curiously but stayed quiet so I could talk."I'm kind of scared in a way for you, I mean. And if we are being honest, I've never been scared like this for anyone so that's scary too. Also, I called you my boyfriend today in a conversation and I'm scared of that too because I've never really had one. All I do know is that when you're in a relationship you're supposed to be honest so... there it is." Steve looked at me for a little before speaking.

"I'm nervous too. I'm not sure how this will end but I'm scared because I just met someone who makes me want to live a long good life so I can spend it with her." I blushed at Steve's words with a huge smile on my face. "Look I think everything will be just fine. If you stay by my side we can do anything together right?"

"Yeah. We can." I smile at Steve and held his hand. Then, we both leaned in for a kiss. It was short and sweet. Perfect really.

"Alright you two, we're here," Peggy said and stepped out of the passengers' seat. I kind of had forgotten she was there. Sorry, Peg.

"You ready Rogers?"

"Yeah, I am." He took my hand and opened the car door. We walked out and Peggy took us to what seemed a regular-looking shop. We walked inside and there was an elderly woman at the counter. She moved her hand under her desk and a secret door buzzed open. I looked at Steve and he shrugged his shoulders. We walked further into the door and down the hall to an open area and right in the center was the chamber where they would put Steve.

"Rogers... I think that's a little too big for you." I say curiously. 

"Ah but Y/n it isn't. We are expecting him to grow 2 times the size he is now." I turn around and it's Doctor Erskine talking. Should've known by his accent. He looks nothing like how Red Skull described.

"Interesting." I thought about it for a second. If the serum was a diluted version of my powers why didn't I grow in size? Odd. Guess you really can never fully remake an original.

"You ready Steven?" The doctor spoke.

"Yeah." He squeezed my hand and kissed me before stepping into the chamber. I didn't move my spot. I am going to be right here when he steps out. "Will it hurt?" He asked worriedly.

"Only a pinch." The doctor said. I gave a thumbs up to Steve and he smiled. The door closed slowly. I moved from side to side getting anxious. Then I heard Steve groan louder and louder while the technicians were turning the power-up. I held back my tongue because I knew Steve wouldn't want me to stop them. Then the chamber opened slowly and he stepped out. He grew bigger. He had muscle now and he grew at least a foot taller than me. He stumbled onto me and I held him. I blushed because he had no shirt on and I was probably staring.

"You look good Rogers."

"Better than before?" He looks at me and he straightened himself. I put my hands around his neck.

"No. Never. The height and muscles are nice Steve but that's not what I like about you." I kissed him and Peggy gave me his shirt. Sadly to say he had to put it back on.

"Thanks, Y/n."

"Just telling the truth Rogers."

Then an explosion.
