Recap-

____ Fast Forward Until Morning ____

I had another one last night. Another seeing. The same group of Dwarves and a Hobbit had entered Mirkwood and had gotten lost. Soon after, they were found by those spiders. I witnessed them falling one by one, but the Hobbit was nowhere to be seen. After they had all found each other, (except the Hobbit) they got surrounded than I heard Elven footsteps. I silently wondered if I was amongst them...when the dream stopped.

After that night, the seeing's came more often. I'd see them on the back of the Great Eagles, in Lake Town, fighting Goblins with Mithrandir. Though I got the feeling that whatever I was seeing was not in order... Whenever I got too anxious I played my music box and sang or hummed along, either that or I searched out the stars. - If it was a clear night. I had a gut feeling that whatever was coming, would be here soon. Just how soon? Only the Valar knew.

It was the year 2941, Two Weeks after Midsummers Eve when we got the alert that their were intruders in the forest. I couldn't help but wonder if it was them, the Dwarves. Or some stray Orc party? We ran through the forest using the trees and the spiders silk to our advantage, Legolas and I leading the guard.
I saw Legolas run up ahead, and slide under a spider, slaying it instantly with his dagger through its stomach.
He then proceeded to point his bow at what I had assumed for a very long time, to be the leader of the company of Dwarves.

I froze. Dwarves. 'They're here.' I thought. Hardly believing my eyes. The question was, what was I suppose to do? The seeings hadn't told me anything about that. I began walking towards the others, taking my place among the Guard.
Arrows were pointed everywhere. And I...felt that it was wrong. But, I kept up my facade, a hard face.

"Do not think I won't kill you, Dwarf. It would be my pleasure." Legolas stated.
Suddenly a cry was heard.
"Argh, Help!" My head turned in the direction...to see the one Dwarf that has been the star of my seeings. My eyes widened. 'I cannot let him come to harm.' My mind thought.
"Kili!" Another Dwarf yelled immediately at his cry. 'A relative, perhaps?'
I took after the dark haired Dwarf, from the tree tops saving him from the Spawn of Ungoliant.
"Throw me a dagger, quick!" He yelled seeing one coming.
"If you think that I'm giving you a weapon, Dwarf you are mistaken!" I spoke throwing my weapon into the spider's eye, shocking him.
"Search them." Legolas ordered.
I spotted Legolas taking something from a red-headed Dwarf, a portrait? He was rather upset.
And another Elf, under my command was removing daggers left and right from the other dwarf that called out his name...Kili was it?
I was in thought when Legolas spoke to me, "Gyrth in yngyl bain?" *Are the spiders dead?*
"Ennorner gwanod in yngyl na nyryn" *Yes, but more will come.* I sighed. He looked curious. "Nan yryn. Engain nar." *They're growing bolder.*
It was then that he returned to the leader of the company, taking his sword Orcrist and examining it. "Echannen i vegil hen vin Gondolin. Magannen nan Gelydh." *This is an ancient Elvish blade. Forged by my kin.* Legolas spoke.
"Where did you get this?" He asked the leader.
"It was given to me." He spoke softly.
I knew he was telling the truth, I saw it. In the Troll Hoard. It was one of my seeings.
Legolas turned the blade on him. "Not just a thief, but a liar as well."
At this point, I was contemplating on whether to risk telling him about my gift, or not.

I walked up to Legolas with a purpose. "My lord Legolas, I believe he is telling the truth."
Legolas sent me a sharp look.
"Sevin, aw olor en hain atar idhrinn. Cened. -Nyë cildë se ar Mithrandir ín a Hruo Haura. Mithrandir antë se han macil." I spoke, urgently.
*I, have had visions of them for years. Seeings. I saw him and Gandalf the Grey in a Troll Hoard. Gandalf gave him that sword.* I spoke, urgently.

"You will tell me more later." Legolas ordered.

"Enwenno hain!" *Take them!*
I sighed and followed but not before hearing, "Thorin, where's Bilbo?" Come from the hatted Dwarf.

We crossed the bridge, and Legolas ordered the gates to be closed. But I also couldn't help but wonder where the Hobbit was. Was he alright?

The Dwarves were brought to the dungeons. I felt a bit guilty. They had done nothing wrong. From what I had learnt over my time with them through my seeings, they just wanted to get their homeland back.

I was slightly distracted, once again. "Aren't you going to search me?" The Dwarf I saved spoke up. "I could have anything down my trousers." He continued.
I fought a smile.
"Or nothing." I replied, and closed the door.

Legolas stopped me as I was walking away from the dungeons. "I Nogoth amman e tîr gin, Tauriel?"
*Why does the Dwarf stare at you, Tauriel?*
"Ú-dangada? E orchal be Nogoth... ...pedithig."
*Who can say? He is quite tall for a Dwarf. Do you not think?* I said with a smile, before walking away weapons in hand.
"Orchal eb vui, mal uvanui en." Legolas stated.
*Taller than some, but no less ugly.*

I spent the rest of the day doing my duties and thinking about the Dwarves. What would happen now? My seeings didn't exactly happen in order.

At one point, I heard the shout of their leader "The great King to honor his word should the end of all days be upon us! You! Who lack all honor! I have seen how you treat your friends we came to you once, starving, homeless...seeking your help. But you turned your back! You turned away from the suffering of my people. And the inferno that destroyed us. "Imrid amrâd ursul!" *Die a fiery death.*

I did not hear Thranduil's response, but I heard the stories on how he had refused to help the Dwarves of Erebor. Most Elves here have a hatred for Dwarves, my seeings have taught me to think otherwise. They did nothing wrong. Thranduil did. He offered his help than turned his back on his allies. No one should do that. He could have given them shelter, food. But instead he let the Dwarves roam for 60 years homeless. Having to improvise for work, to feed themselves.
At times, I did question if he had a beating heart myself. But than I looked back at when he found me, and took me in. It proved he did.

I was walking back to my chambers, when I caught a snippet of their conversation once again. I was wrong when I thought Thranduil was done talking. "You are just like him. Stay here if you will and rot. A hundred years is a mere blink in the life of an Elf. I'm patient. I can wait."

I gasped. 'They can't stay here...' I thought. Though it may be my duty to look after the prisoners and be Captain of the Guard, this went too far. 'Letting them rot, die in the cells?' They're innocent free folk. Sure the leader insulted the King, but he was speaking his mind!

Later that evening I was summoned to see Thranduil. But I also sensed another presence. 'The Hobbit?'
"I know you're there. Why do you linger in the shadows?" Thranduil spoke. 'Does he sense it too?'
"I was coming to report to you, My lord."
"I thought I ordered that nest to be destroyed not two moons past." He replied.
"We cleared the forest as ordered, my Lord. But more spiders keep coming up from the south. They are spawning in the ruins of Dol Guldur. If we could kill them at their source..."
"That fortress lies beyond our borders. Keep our lands clear of those foul creatures. That is your task."
"And when we drive them off, what then? Will they not spread to other lands?" I asked, pacing.
"Other lands are not my concern."
I stared at him.
"The fortunes of the world will rise and fall. But here in this Kingdom, we will endure."
I began to walk away, disappointed in our King.

"Legolas said you fought well today. He has grown very fond of you."
"I assure you, my Lord Legolas thinks of me as no more than a captain of the guard." I said, not believing my own words. I knew he was falling in love with me.
"Perhaps he did once. Now, I am not so sure."
My mouth hung open.
"I do not think you would allow your son to pledge himself to a lowly Silvan Elf, with limited memories of who she is."
"No, you are right. I would not. Still, he cares about you. Do not give him hope where there is none."
"That will not be a problem, my Lord." I spoke before walking away.
