(Before Zombie Apocalypse)

Paul R. Williams High School (the name of Alicia's school, I searched for it on google) always holds a dance party every year as part of the school's anniversary celebrationwhich was held in a luxury hotel directly facing the sea, where every student who participates in this party must come with their partner to later dance at climax of the event. Just like last year, this year Alicia is back as the partner of the school's artist, Matt, her boyfriend.

The dance started, everyone started grabbing their partner's hand and down to the dance floor, including Matt who took Alicia's hand and led the girl to the center of the dance floor. From behind the stage, Y/N could only watch Alicia smiling at Matt, she's die a little when she saw that, hoping Alicia looked at her the way Alicia looked at Matt. Y/N is Matt's best friend, and she likes her best friend's girlfriend. In fact, it was Y/N who had feelings for Alicia first, but she didn't dare to say it because she knew the green eyed girl was straight.

Y/N didn't have a partner to come to this dance but she wanted to come because she wanted to see Alicia even if only from a distance, Y/N offered to be a backstage crew.

Y/N couldn't handle it anymore, so she decided to leave.

"Hey, can you handle the music for a second? I'm going out for a bit" Y/N said to her friend, Y/F/N.

"Yeah sure, take your time"

"Thank you"

Y/N stepped onto the beach in front of the hotel, sitting on the sand while looking at the ocean and just accompanied by the moon and stars in the sky. Y/N wanted to try to forget all about Alicia, but it was hard. She thought back to every time Matt and Alicia made out in front of her, and it's tearing her apart, holding back her heartache whenever Alicia kisses Matt, Y/N breaking, because she wished that was her. The way Matt looked at Alicia, was the way she looked at Alicia, the look full of love, she wished she could do all the things that Alicia did with Matt, Y/N wished she could turn back time.

"Why does it hurt so much to love someone? or maybe it's just my bad luck" Y/N mumbled to herself while chuckling and sobbing.

"Here you are" hearing a very familiar voice in her ear, Y/N quickly wiped her tears and turned around only to find Alicia walking towards her holding her high heels.

"Alicia? What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing, what are you doing here?" Alicia replied while sitting herself on Y/N's left side, she put her high heels on her left.

Y/N shrugged her shoulders "I don't have a dance partner, so here I am. But, this doesn't work for you, you have Matt as your dance partner, you should be in there. So why are you here?"

"Just wanted to see you" Alicia replied but didn't look at Y/N, but at the sea in front of them.

"Should I be flattered?" Y/N said jokingly, chuckling while touching her chest with one hand.

Alicia elbowed Y/N while chuckling too, one thing Alicia liked about Y/N was that she could always make her smile, even without Y/N planning.

"But seriously, why don't you have a dance partner? I know there are more than two girls who asked you as their dance partner, why don't you accept one of them?" Alicia asked.

'Because they're not you', Y/N wanted to say that to Alicia, but she couldn't and instead she said,

"I'm not good at dancing, I'll just embarrass them. That's one of the reasons"

"That's an lame excuse, you can learn to dance"

"Dancing is not my thing, Ali"

Alicia sighed and seemed to think before she finally stood up and held out her hand to Y/N.

"What do you wanna do?"

"I'll teach you how to dance, come on, stand up"

"I don't think it's a good idea"

"This is a good idea, Y/N/N, come on, take my hand"

'do it Y/N, this is what you wish for, right?' so Y/N did it, she took Alicia's hand and stood opposite the girl.

Alicia smiled.

"Great" she said as she wrapped her arms around Y/N's neck, making the girl panic and nervous.

"Wh-what are you doing?"

"Relax, girl. Now, put your hand on my waist"

"Y-you sure?"

"I wouldn't have asked you to do that if I wasn't sure, Y/N/N" Alicia said with a chuckle.

Y/N also chuckled to reduce her nervousness and put her hands on Alicia's waist.

"Good. Let's dance" Alicia also said the instructions about the steps to dance and Y/N did as Alicia said. They did it over and over again until Y/N got used to it.

"See? It's not hard, right?" Y/N nodded.

"Yeah, you're a great dance teacher" Y/N joked and made Alicia laugh.

Y/N was enjoying her time with Alicia, dancing under the moonlight, she didn't know what Alicia was feeling, Y/N just wanted to enjoy this special moment.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" Alicia said.

"Actually you just asked, but never mind, go on, what do you want to ask?" Y/N replied jokingly.

"You said one of the reasons you turned down the girls' invitations was because you weren't good at dancing?"

Y/N nodded, "Yeah, what's with that?"

"That means there's another reason, right? What is it?"

Y/N was a little surprised by Alicia's question, because she didn't expect Alicia to ask her that question. She was confused what to answer, did she have to lie again? or was this her chance to be honest about her feelings for Alicia?

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that, it's your personal thing, you don't have to answer it" said Alicia.

Y/N still didn't say anything and just stared at Alicia.

'It's now or never, Y/N, just tell her'.

"Y/N, Iㅡ"

"It's you"

"What?"

"Another reason I rejected them, it's because of you"

"B-but, why?"

Y/N bit her lower lip, "Because...because I love you, Alicia"

Seeing Alicia's shocked face made Y/N regret being honest but she couldn't take her words back, so Y/N decided to be honest again.

"I love you before Matt even had eyes on you, before Matt liked you, before he even loved you, but I chose to be a loser, I didn't dare tell you, and by the time I had the courage to tell you about my feelings, I was too late, you and Matt were already dating. And all I can do is love you in silence without you knowing it, and just wish that I was in Matt's position, I can only wish that I can be as lucky as he is to have you, I wish that was me. But again, I chose to be a loser and keep to myself those three little words that I'm dying to tell you"

Y/N let out a sigh after revealing her feelings that she had been keeping to Alicia for so long, but what made her worry now was Alicia who just kept quiet with a surprised face without saying anything.

"Please say something"

"You really are a loser" Alicia mumbled.

"I know, I'm so stupid"

"Yeah, you're really stupid loser"

Honestly, Alicia's words really hurting her heart.

"Do you know how long I've been dying to wait for you to say those three stupid little words of yours?"

"Wh-what?" Y/N couldn't understand what Alicia meant.

"What do you mean?" Y/N asked again when Alicia didn't answer.

"This is what I mean" Alicia pulled Y/N's neck until their lips met.

"Wow..." this were the only words Y/N said after Alicia broke the kiss.

"Really? Is that all you can say?" Alicia asked.

"I'm sorry, I'm still trying to process what just happened" Y/N answered with an innocent face that made Alicia couldn't help but laugh.

"Okay, I'll give you some time" Alicia said with a chuckle.

"Did you just say you were waiting for me to say that I love you?" Y/N asked.

"Yes, that's true"

"Did you just kiss me?"

Alicia nodded, "Yes, I did"

"But you're Matt's girlfriend"

"Not anymore"

"I broke up with him a week ago" Alicia said again when she saw Y/N's confused face.

"You're kidding, you came to this dance as his partner"

"That's because I agreed to that before we broke up, so I kept my promise"

"Are you seriously breaking up with him?" Alicia nodded.

"Why?"

"Because I just realized that I love someone else, and not him anymore"

"Wait wait wait...you broke up with Matt because you love someone else, but you just kissed me. Does that mean I'm that 'someone'?"

"I didn't say it was you"

"Oh"

Alicia laughed at Y/N's expression.

"Why are you laughing?"

"It's you, dumbass" said Alicia.

"Is it a dream?" Y/N muttered.

"No, silly. This is your wish come true"

Y/N chuckled, "Since when?"

"I don't know, all I know is that you now fill my mind every time, and I always smile and happy whenever I think of you"

"Wow... I really didn't expect you to say that to me, in fact, I didn't even expect that almost all my wishes came true in just one night"

"Well, I guess it's your lucky day" Alicia said with a smile.

Y/N also smiled, "Can you kiss me again?"

Alicia shook her head, "No"

"Why not?"

"Because why don't you just kiss me?" Alicia smirked, making Y/N who was surprised turn into a smirk as well and pulled Alicia's waist so that she was closer to her, then one hand touched Alicia's jaw as she kissed her lips.

"If it's just a dream, I don't want to wake up from my sleep"

"Lucky you this isn't a dream, this is your wishㅡ"

"ㅡthat came true" Y/N joined Alicia's words, after which they both laughed at each other.

"I love you, Ms. Clark" Y/N said.

"Yeah, you love me, Ms. Y/L/N" Alicia replied.

"Yup, I 100% in love you" Y/N said again before she brought her lips together again with Alicia's soft lips.
