"Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst!"

Steven burst through the front door, catching the attention of the three gems who were sitting in the temple reading newspapers to themselves. "What?"

Steven was about to answer, but spinel poked her head in. "Steven's watermelons came to life, and they're attacking people!"

"WHAT!?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The gems burst out of the beach house, and were astonished to see a massive army of humanoid watermelons, standing tall and at attention.
"Wooow..." Ameythyst uttered, not sure of what to make of the hoarde, while pearl scanned the melon mass in shock.
"You said they're hurting people?" Pearl asked, not taking her eyes off the crowd, to which Steven and Spinel answered with a sheepish nod.
"Rose's plants lived to fight." Garnet spoke in her normally calm manner, though there was an audible tension in it. Spinel tilted her head. "Kinda like them soldiers (name) talked about..."
Pearl blinked at a sudden realization. "Speaking of which..." She turned around, her eyes searching the porch, then looking back at the two young gems. "Where's (name)?"
The two flinch at the question, and scanned the porch themselves. And sure enough, they didn't find you standing with them. It was then another dreadful realization came over them, and they both exchanged nervous looks between each other. "Yuh oh."
"Uugh!"
A cry of pain suddenly broke the relatively quiet air, which made the ground tense up and look out at the watermelon army.
"Gah! Wait a second!"
Sure enough, in the far back, they gasp as they managed to spot a large (color) shape beneath a cluster of wily melon kids.
It would seem that the imprint you've left on them was stronger than you anticipated.
"One at a time! Don't-! Ouch!"
You tried to protest as you were practically crushed beneath multiple watermelon Stevens, as they tried to clumsily climb onto your back while others pulled and played with your fur and tail. Naturally, you'd have no trouble with simply rearing onto your hind legs to throw the mass off of you, but the numerous feet that stomped into your head and face made it hard for you to think straight. And mixed the multiple melon cuddles pressed into your sides and limbs and tiny hands gripping your fur tightly, you were practically pinned to the ground.
It was safe to say that you were pretty much at their mercy.
"(Name)!" Spinel cried, pulling her pigtails while Steven frantically leaned over the banister. "No! Stop! You're hurting her!" Unfortunately, only a few turned their heads to face him, while most of them were too focused on trying to take their place atop your fluffy withers.
"He can't control them.." Pearl spoke out loud, her eyes not leaving your hapless form. She then sets a hand on both Steven and Spinel's shoulders. "Steven. Spinel... get in the house." This finally managed to rouse the herd of unoccupied melon kids, as they took a step forward with anger burning in their beady eyes.
"But-" Steven and Spinel tried to protest, but Pearl was already ushering them inside. "Now!"
This was the final straw for the melons, as they hissed angrily at the 'offenders', all too prepared to defend their creator.
"Ooh, what!? Bring it melons!" Ameythyst challenged as the Crystal Gems leapt onto the beach, directly into the herd. "Don't worry, mama bear, we're coming to rescue ya!"
"Careful!" Was all you could exclaim as you were practically smothered in angry melon Stevens, that covered you almost entirely in a 'protective' stance, hissing at the challengers as they approached.
"Gems, do your thing." Garnet called as she summoned her gauntlets. "Hang tight, (name)!"
With that, a pretty intense battle between the living fruits and crystal gems ensued. You looked up from the melons covering you, and felt your eyes widen at the sight of the melons bursting into neat triangles as they were struck down by the gem's weapons.
"Wait, don't!" Steven tried to protest, but no one could hear him in the heat of the battle. Racked with worry for his melon creations, as well as the gems, he turned to spinel and baby melon. "Come on guys, we have to stop this!"
Meanwhile, the gems continued their fight against the fruit defenders. They were skilled in battle, but they weren't quite able to match with the sheer numbers the melons came in.
Garnet was doing well at first, but she was quickly dogpiled by the heavy humanoid fruits.
At this point, steven had ran into the center of the battlefield, trying to gather his melons' attention. "Everyone! Please stop! I'm okay, look!" Steven exclaimed, raising his hands for emphasis. "You don't have to fight anymore!"
Unfortunately, his voice fell on deaf ears as the melons still held their ground.
At this point, they overwhelmed Ameythyst and had her pinned to the ground. "They're gonna put me in the ground!!" She cried out, struggling to free herself as they presumably dug her grave, complete with a bouquet of purplish flowers. "THOSE FLOWERS ARE LOVELY!! AAUGH!!"
Pearl on the other hand, still stood, but was struggling in getting her spear out of the grip of the melons that held you hostage. "Let go of my spear and get off of her, you little twerps! I'll destroy you!" She growled, before sparing a worried glance down at you. "(Name), are you okay??"
You grunted and struggled against the heavy weight of them pinning you down, as well as the hard rind feet that clobbered your head as they fought for dominance over the pearl's spear.
Finally, there was Garnet, who was still struggling to free herself from under the melon pile.
It was total chaos.
"This is bad, guys." Steven noted wearily, turning to face spinel and baby melon. "How do we end this carnage?"
Spinel stood for a moment, unsure of what to do herself, while baby melon shut its eyes.
PUNCH!
"Hey!?"
Without warning, the small melon threw a punch at Steven, hitting him square in the belly, and sent him flying into the ground.
This caught the Melon army's attention, as they turned to face their new enemy.
As spinel helped him to sit up, he stared at the now lone young melon in astonishment.
"Baby... melon..?"
Contented with themselves, they spread their arms out in acceptance as the melon herd quickly abandoned the gems and mercilessly swarmed them.
