You were brought out of your sleeping trance as you felt a particularly strong breeze whip through your mane, followed by the sound of rustling leaves filling your metaphoric ears.

...Wait, rustling leaves?

In a beach house??

Lifting your head from your arms and blinking your eyes open, you found that you were once again back in your dream meadow. Ah, back here again. You thought, lifting your head from your arms, to give a brief look around at your surroundings. It's starting to become less and less enjoyable the more I come here... You thought with a soft rumble in your throat as you looked up at the large, dark teal leaved oaks, as their branches gently swayed in the prominent breeze. Unconciously, you lifted your gaze even higher to look at the tranquil blue sky, watching as a few puffy pink clouds slowly drifted by. And in such short time to. Usually, It'd take a few days to get back to here... Your eyes narrowed slightly. Speaking of which... You looked back down to the front of you and, low and behold, you found that cryptic pink rose had blossomed up right in front of you in record time. At least now we're at least getting somewhere with you. Somewhat, maybe? You just sighed, wearing a half-hearted smile as you shook your head. Just wish it wasn't so... repetitive with the message...

"...don't worry. We're about done with that part."

"Hmn?" You blinked a few times, turning to look at the plant with a faint look of surprise. Even if you knew that it was starting to give you direct responses more frequently, it would still startled you nonetheless. Especially with how clearly the voice was heard this time.

"R-Really?" You heard yourself speak. You were almost stunned upon hearing your voice. It sounded a lot less distorted this time around. And a lot more mature and feminine, like a middle-aged woman. It even had an ever so slight (accent) flare to it. [If you don't have an accent or don't want one, ignore this part.] "Is... is that right?"

"Yes," It swayed softly, even without the gentle breeze to push it. "You've made excellent progress so far, (name)."

But what startled you even more was the rose's center core was now glowing brighter than it ever had been. Kinda similar to that of a flash light.

...come to think of it, upon closer inspection, it looked like the light was pulsing slightly, kinda like Steven's phone would do when he was charging it.

"Don't you see how far you've come?"

"(Name)... guesses she does..." you huffed, pushing yourself up into a sitting position, leaning away from it in a uncomfortable, uncertain manner. "But... that doesn't exactly give (name) an insight on who she is. Or which side she was really on."

No reply.

You grunted, feeling the burn of frustration heat your face. "Again with this! Why does this keep happening?!" You voice raised to a slight shout. "Everytime (name)'s here, it's the same stupid message, yet never she never gets an answer to the questions regarding her past! It's all just... false hope!" You shook your head somberly, turning away from the flower with a deep, rumbly whine droning in your throat. "Maybe this is all just... (Name)'s anxious, corrupted mind playing with her..."

"--No, it isn't!"

You flinched, turning back to look at the flower with slight surprise again, taken aback at the sudden raise in volume of its voice. It sounded startled by your claim.

It started to flicker slightly, like how a phone would react to a bad charger moving the slightest inch. The voice Itself sounded as if it were fading in and out like bad reception. "It's just-- can't-- commun-- clearly-- this-- s' true...!"

You stared at the plant, unsure of how to respond. It was one thing to get to talk with it, but to hear it react with an identifiable emotion was a whole level higher.

You go to question it further, but you found that you couldn't open your mouth. It was like something was pressing against your chin, keeping it shut.

The flickering became more intense as the dreamscape itself started to shake slightly.

Just A bit--

---and I'll-

"Mmmph...!"

You felt something shift beneath your chin, rousing you put of your sleep. And with a few blinks, you found yourself back in the dark, moonlit living room of the beach house. You rumbled softly to yourself as you contemplated your most recent meadow dream escapade. Well... that was something. You huffed, grumbling to yourself. You contemplated the flower's words. It was the first time you actually had some sort of a conversation with it. Too bad it got dodgy at the end... You sighed. At least I know I'm getting somewhere. Somewhat. Shakong your head, you turned your head back to peer through the windows to check how low the moon was, but in doing so, your gaze followed the silvery light that spilled into the window, onto the small pink figure nestled against your midarm.

Spinel...

She was still curled up against your abdomen like a cub, sleeping as soundly as ever. She'd twitch on occasion, but that resulted in her snuggling further into the crook of your midarm. And each time she did, you could almost swear you heard a purr emanate from her.

A small purr of your own rumbled in your throat at this, and you instinctively pulled her in closer to you. She's safe and secure still...

And what about...?

"Hmn..." You felt movement in your forearms, and you looked back in front of you, peering down at the little shape nestled against your chest fluff.

Steven...

He mumbled softly in his sleep, shifting his weight again, nestling himself deeper into your embrace, as well as your chest fluff, humming contently before returning to snoring softly.

Your metaphoric heart practically burst at this.

Two of my precious gemlings. Safe and secure with me.

You smiled, pressing a soft, gentle kiss into the boy's head before carefully resting your head back down over his body, like a blanket. With a purr, you shut your eyes and let yourself fall back asleep.

Blissfully unaware of the sky blue eyes that watched from the warp room doors.

Getting a bit dodgy at this point with the dream thing, but I'll fix that later on.
