Lewis opened the door with a trembling hand, breath to match as he finally entered his childhood home for the first time in years.

Nothing had changed. Hell, he wouldn't be surprised if those were the same lightbulbs in the chandelier.

While he marveled over the changes that hadn't been made, one of his brothers came down the stairs. Ronnie seemed just as surprised to see Lewis, as 'Seven' was to see 'Three'.

Lewis stood there, looking like a deer in the headlights, until a smile broke across Ronnie's face and he closed the distance, wrapping his brother in a warm embrace. "It's been so long," he said gently.

Lewis melted into the hug. Basking in the positive affection, he let out an audible sigh when they split apart.

Of course, though, the moment had to be ruined, this time by Bailey, who spat out, "What's he doing here? He doesn't belong."

"Can you not do this today? Lewis has every right to be here, just like the rest of us."

"No. No, Bailey's right. I-I should go- I need to practice more anyway. My orchestra has a concert coming up... It'd mean a lot if you could come."

"Yeah... No thanks, Lew, I'd rather drop dead," Bailey mumbled as he wandered past Ronnie.

Ronnie, at this point, so fed up with Bailey's shit, hauled off and smacked him on the back of the head.

——

"Hey, does anyone else see a little Number Five?" Ezra asked, his pink umbrella spinning in his grip.

"Oh shit... It's you dumbasses again," Five mumbled as she picked herself off the ground. "I didn't wanna deal with you."

——

"Listen... Listen here, asshole," Five hiccuped, one hand gripping the front of Logan's shirt and the other firmly holding her mannequin, that for some reason, she just had to have.

"Five, shh, we just wanna protect you," Bailey soothed.

"Protect me? I'm more dangerous than you can comprehend- I'm the four frickin' Horsemen of the apocalypse, dipshit. I don't need you to protect me."

After a moment of silence, she let go of his shirt long enough to pat Logan's face. "Let me down or I'm gonna throw up on you."

——

"Those assholes in the masks didn't hurt you, did they?" Logan asked, directing the question at Ronnie more than at anyone else.

Ronnie shook his head, while Bailey rolled his eyes. "They almost shot me, thanks for asking."

Logan gave him a sharp look, then pulled Ronnie in for a hug. "I'm glad you're okay."

"If you kiss our brother, I'm gonna stab you."

——

"I'm really glad you're back, Five. I missed you," Lewis admitted, shy smile on his lips.

Five just rolled her eyes, not offering a response. It wasn't until Lewis noticed the blood soaking through the fabric of her shirt that he looked worried. "What the hell happened to you?!" He shot to his feet and practically ran to get his first aid kit.

"Seven! I'm fine! Don't worry about it!" She said loudly, again rolling her eyes.

"Let me take care of that, and then you can... sleep in my bed. I'll take the couch," he told her, gently taking her hand and rolling up her sleep.

"Ugh, I guess we have a deal, then."
