A yellow fish is swimming towards the garden entrance, and shellia recognize the fish as a "garden intruder". She try telling it to go away, but fail. Then she to use a move used when trying to protect their garden, the "Mermaid Freak-Out".

She start blowing air through their lips, blowing a large current through the water. The fish spins three times and is blown away from the two.

Shellia is terrified and at first sight, she thought the large yellow submarine was a fish. Now, she know what it is - a submarine. She look inside the glass window of the vessel and see the elves inside the sub and think that they wants to destroy her garden.

Shellia try to hide behind a rock to not be seen and make mermaid calls. The elves hear the noise coming from behind shellia and immediately turn their submarine around. Shellia realizes her next plan to hide behind a rock in the opposite direction of their garden and make noises, causing the explorers to turn away from her home. Soon, the elves are driving their source of underwater transportation away from shellia's coral garden.

Shellia sings "Call of the Mermaid", but the elves start to sing as well. To make sure that the elves don't come back, shellia start pushing the submarine away from her home. They struggle to hold the machine up. Elves are confused about what is happening. A blue elf asks a red elf if he is causing them to rise up to the surface. A green elf answers "no", and lets his hands off the wheel. Then there was trouble: shellia  push the two to a large area full of rock geysers that shoot water out of spouts. Shellia place the sub on a geyser and swim away.
