"So, who's driving?" Gray inquired with a shaky voice.

"I am." Zach's answer came before the question was even fully asked.

"But didn't you fail your driving test?" the child cocked an eyebrow and Zach grinned.

"Only the practical part."

Adelaide clicked her tongue and pushed Zach away from the driver's seat door.

"Nah, let me. I'd feel safer knowing someone who aced the test drives." the girl hopped onto the seat while Gray nodded in approval, Zach begrudgingly claiming the seat to the driver's right.

Fastening her seatbelt, Adelaide checked on the two boys before pressing on the acceleration paddle, getting the Jeep to shoot forward. Bumps filled the road and the three were very soon clutching onto car parts, but the forest swiftly disappeared from around them as they reached an open field, a blue gate tall before them. On top, two guards stood still like statues. When shrill sounds carried across the air, Adelaide shot a look into her rear mirror and saw at least three dozen of unleashed Pterodactyls and Pteranodons take the bright sky. Seeing as the guards didn't move, she began honking madly.

"Hey! Open the gate!" she hollered and the boys joined her, creating as much noise as they could.

One of the guards finally moved, the gates opening just as the car neared them. One of the flying dinosaurs landed on Adelaide's shoulder and her first instinct was kick it off, until she realized it was actually Ro. Gray screamed at the sight of the creature, but calmed down when he saw Adelaide wasn't freaking out. Her foot pushing down on the acceleration as hard as she could, the girl drove skillfully until she and the boys could see the Innovation Center. Havoc had been wreaked, and there was no way of stopping it. People were screaming at the top of their lungs, grasping their belongings and shoving each other as to get to safety faster. Some huddled in corners and inside stores with broken windows, some even carrying out fights among themselves. Adelaide couldn't drive the Jeep any farther, so she and the boys disembarked and looked around for shelter. Close to Gray, a woman got picked up by a Pteranodon, thrashing madly in its claws as it carried her upwards. A hand latched itself onto Adelaide's arm, but when she turned, prepared to hit, she saw it was only Zach, who was also holding Gray. The trio dashed through the maddened crowd, ducking whenever one of the Pterodactlys dove for them - but one got too close, and Adelaide felt an excruciating pain running from her shoulder to her waist. She let out a pained shriek and fell to her knees. One of the flying reptiles had scratched her, deeply, and blood was soaking into the fabric of her tank-top. Zach noticed, followed by Gray, and the two knelt next to Adelaide, who was squirming in pain. The crimson liquid was dripping down her shorts, staining her fair legs.

All voices were a blurry mess, yet the girl forced herself to stand up. Zach put an arm around her waist to help her walk, when the familiar voice of Claire's other assistant got to their ears.

"Don't just stand there!" Zara hollered, preparing to approach the three, when a Pterodactyl snatched her and soared up into the sky.

A bloodcurdling scream came from the woman as she was dropped, then picked by another sibling of the Pterodactyl, repeatedly. No one was able to do anything besides stare in awe and terror at the helpless assistant. Cruelly, she was throw into the Mosasaurus' pool and played with above it, until the Mosasurus rose from the water and swallowed both Zara and the Pterodactyl holding her. Adelaide was petrified, even the pain muted, toned down. The once admired park had turned into a massacre. No one was safe, not even the ones who once worked among the dinosaurs. Zach, Adelaide and Gray took off again, but shortly, Adelaide froze, pointing somewhere ahead of her.

"Look, it's Claire! And... Owen?!" she said, shock lacing her words as she and the boys looked at what appeared to be the two adults trapped in a kiss.

Claire eventually pulled away from the kiss and saw them, then started running towards the three.

"Gray, Zach, Adelaide! Oh my God, are you alright?" she worriedly pulled the kids in a hug and her hand touched Adelaide's scratched back, making her hiss in pain.

"You're bleeding! Oh, no, no, no, this is not happening!" Adelaide studied Claire while the woman inspected her wound.

Her always straight and perfect hair was messy and curly, her outfit torn apart in some places and the strangest thing was that her heels were still in her feet; Adelaide admired her for that.

"Does it hurt a lot?" Claire asked and the teenager shook her head, trying not to freak out her boss.

"Bullshit! If I had those scratches, even I'd be squirming on the ground in pain!" Owen joined the four and Adelaide could help but agree with the man; her wound hurt like a bitch, but she had to struggle with it until safety was ensured.

"Let's go already!" Adelaide distracted everyone from the long red marks on her back and the five ran towards a vehicle. A gate was trembling, pushed by the hundreds of people behind it.

Claire's phone rang and she informed them that InGen was using the Raptors to try capture the Indominus, and Owen swore. Gray instructed him that he shouldn't say the word 'bitch', but Adelaide herself wanted to swear as loudly as she could.

They hopped in the car and all hollered at Owen to drive faster. After a short ride, they ended face to face with Hoskins' team. Claire, to Adelaide's surprise, swore at the man and Owen threw a punch, hitting him right in the nose, causing Hoskins to stumble backwards.

"He finally gets what he deserves," Adelaide muttered while resting on the back seat, between the Mitchell brothers, "he always wanted a field test with the Raptors."

"But," Gray retorted, "you can't let four carnivores roam freely around the park!"

"That's exactly what everyone except Hoskins thinks." she crossed her arms, feeling a painful sting in her shoulder. Claire had bandaged her wounds with a piece of her skirt which she ripped with her bare hands — once again, managing to leave her assistant awed.

Eventually, Owen left somewhere with Hoskins and Claire returned to the car, telling them to get down. Instead, she led them to another vehicle, making the children hop in the back.

"Put your seatbelts on and hold on tight, okay?" the woman explained, the smile on her face trying to cheer up the three, but failing.

Adelaide looked around her for a seatbelt, but found none.

"Alright, just... hold hands!" Claire spoke and closed the doors, and Adelaide felt warm fingers intertwine with hers; it was Zach, on whose face rested a small smile. Gray also grabbed her hand.

Claire opened the small, grey window between them and Adelaide could see her screen clearly. She was monitoring Owen and the Raptors.

"Your boyfriend's a badass." Zach muttered and Adelaide could feel Claire smile as Owen rode his motorcycle in the dark, surrounded by Blue, Charlie, Echo and Delta.

Maybe there was hope for them to get home safely... but no one escapes a disaster unharmed.
